When he was still in Newcastle. he made lots of erroneous defending...hopefully, he gets better and better in his second season with us...

Another good defending by our rock in wembley stadium. It was a good news considering he was facing a pretty decent side (england ).
Too bad the game was ended draw.. 2-2, but then again, like against the Turks, both of england goals was none of his fault.

He made quite a good game last night against England.

I really like this guy. Im really glad we have him since it doesnt look like we will get another defender.

A solid player who if given a fair go with Lazio will impress. He does so well for the Czech NT so I feel good about having him in the squad. All the best for a good season David!

one thing I noticed about this guy is that nobody knows what's his surname really, one day is rozehnal, the other rozenhal, then rozhenal. lol
and please, he's not czechoslovakian, he's czech, czechoslovakia stopped existing almost twenty years ago

The Czech Republic international is desperate for some more playing time...


Lazio defender David Rozenhal had an excellent start to the 2008-09 season, but has not featured for the Biancocelesti in recent weeks and is getting itchy feet sitting on the bench.

"It's true," the 28-year-old said, according to Datasport, admitting his lack of opportunities.

"I haven't spoken with the coach. I've asked for no explanation. I am not one of those players who demands a technical explanation for what is happening."

The Czech international claimed he would like to be back on the pitch, in order to show his worth, whether it be with Lazio or another squad.

"In my career, I've never stayed out of the line-up for such a long period. Will I change teams? Nobody likes being on the bench, I am paid to play," he concluded.

Rozenhal has made 19 league appearances for the Rome-based club this season. He arrived from Newcastle last season, initially on a loan deal that was eventually made permanent.

"I am paid to play" .. Rozehnal said it great! He deserves to be in the starting 11 in the team but stupid Rossi doesn't think so ..

Rozehnal and Cribari should play together! They did it in Florence and I think they did it very good.

Was thinking that we should send all our foreign players on an Italian speaking course in the summer so when they come back they can all communicate perfectly. Maybe then we can see Carizzo-Rozehnal-Cribari together.

David Rozenhal say's that he is not interested in a move away from Lazio (Hoffenheim) as he is happy here and so too are his family.

Nice to hear! Even though he hasnt been that great, it is nice to see a player that wants to stay. In my opinion, Roz together with another good and more skilled (with the ball) CB could proove to be a good option next season...

Like you said, not great, but I trust this guy the most out of all our central defensive options. Gotta be glad that he's happy here.

yes,not the great but the best in CD that we have for the moment.Whith some good CD in front of him he could be very useful

He is going to Hamburg... the deal is almost done and official... the price that hamburg pay to us would be almost 5 million euro while we got him from Newcastle for 3,6 million euro... a good deal for us... and i hope for hamburg too... wish rozehnal have more luck in hamburg!! forza rozehnal!!

Czech players seem to do well in Germany so hopefully he will prove himself to be the defender we hoped he'd be. It was probably a case of wrong time to come to the club IMO, he had endured such a poor spell at Newcastle and then came in when our defence began to fall apart. I echo Ivan in thanking him for his great penalty, he really brushed aside my doubts when I heard he was stepping up to take it!

Done a good job in his 18 months.

Unless we get Lugano, then our defence will weaken.

In my eyes our best defender, I am sure we have something planned since we are letting him go. Someone will be coming in, soon...

I am sad to see David leave. I feel he will do very well there. His defending style will suit the Bundesliga. Although he wasn't at his best for Lazio, there is a lot of potential in him and hopefully all goes well for him at Hamburg.
