| This article reflect as it is the "atmosphere" in Formello and in our city. Vicenzo Cerracchio , a good journalist, is one of the few having the courage to show how things are goin on...
I have no time to translate it and so, please, help yourself:
Un marziano a Formello
Vincenzo Cerracchio - Il Messaggero

| Good article, and really sums up what's going on in our club at the moment. I'm used to not winning every game, but the current state of our team is depressing to me. | |

Man I don't complain when you shout Lotito Vattene, do is as often as you like, it's just that by shouting L V all the time you're taking all the responsibility of the players' backs and ascribe our defeats to a failed summer mercato instead on the poor performance by some individuals or the team all together. And why is Ballardini never criticized? Is Lotito also the one creating the tactical plan and calling in the subs? Why does Zarate play on the right when he's far more dangerous on the left (see goals against Elfsborg, Samp in Coppa finale, derby against merda etc. etc.), why does Foggia seem to be playing alone... These are the things I want to know, not the whole reason for the dissidenti situation or the silenzio stampa. And it also irritates me to see people calling the supercoppa win a lucky win. I'm pissed at Lotito for a ton of reasons too, I'd kick him in the nuts given the chance.

| Since it looks like i'm not going to sleep, I will take the pleasure to translate it for you tonight.
Sile, concerning our discussion, it's a matter of point of views. I don't want to take the responsibility out of the players (and in fact, Cribari has been criticized by the fans). My point, however, is that we cannot, following a famous quote, "ask a bear to sh*t in a toilet". We all knew that Cribari, Siviglia and Diakite couldn't take it more. To make an extreme case: if I'm called up to play for Lazio next sunday, I'd be ridiculous on the pitch: would you blame me or the one who put me on the pitch? Ballardini will have to take a side. So far he has proved no personality, just to passively accept lotito's rule.
The situation, however, is much more complicated than just our roster. It's a big mess. Lotito is the only one who speaks, and the more he speaks the more messy it gets, since, as a matter of facts, he's managing another great task: putting the fans against some players (Siviglia and Rocchi, so far).
If I wanted to criticize lotito, I could be writing about facts for hours. The issue of Pandev and Ledesma, for instance, is another ridiculous thing that we have to cope with. Players such as Lichsteiner and Matuzalem who dare saying "we miss them" are harshly bashed by lotito. Ballardini says "we are tired" but also that "the dissidenti are our by technical choice". According to Lotito, Rocchi and Siviglia gave the OK to the mercato, but now Siviglia complains "we are tired".
PS About the supercoppa, it's true is a lucky win. It does not mean we didn't deserve it, but that we were lucky, that's fairly evident. I'm actually afraid that this victory made someone think we were unbeatable, even without Pandev and Ledesma and a good central back, affecting our mercato...
To be continued... | |

By analogy I could argue that for instance the Juve loss was an unlucky one. But that's a senseless discussion. I managed to translate the article myself, thanks. I just want to express my opinion that the current state on the table does not reflect the objective capabilities of the squad and that there's enough potential in these players to make this a memorable season, if they manage to stay fit. Lotito is a prick at human relations and is worsening the situation, so the situation can pan out in three different ways: 1) Lotito gives in - Ledesma is reintegrated, players who voiced their opinion are not reprimanded 2) status quo - things stay the same and the only thing than can better the situation is some success on the pitch 3) Lotito goes mental - Ledesma and Pandev are dismissed, bad results continue as dissatisfaction rises , Ballardini gets sacked, the season is ruined Am I a fool for hoping for the first choice to come true? Am I a bad laziale if I momentarily settle for choice nr 2?

| A Martian at Formello
Vincenzo Cerracchio - Il Messaggero
Ballardini has been misunderstood, Lichsteiner has no clue about what he says, Lazio fields the players according to their quality and the group does not want the “dissidenti” back. That’s, making a very short summary, the latest message from lotito, who has been speaking uninterruptedly since June, and hence he is the only one we can trust.
Never has been heard, this year, the voice of Zarate (does he really speak?), who should be, concerning charisma, the other Totti of the capital city. Have spoken, in the last months: Cruz, to say that he was happy to join Lazio and that he chose number 74 to honor the first Lazio scudetto; Rocchi and Siviglia to say that there was no need of reinforcements; Matuzalem and Lichsteiner to say that Ledesma and Pandev are greatly needed.
Before, with the mercato still ongoing, the sport director Tare, who is a big name too, had swore that at least a defender would have arrived, someone stronger than both Rozenhal and the missed Lugano.
If a Martian, knowledgeable about “calcio” but not about “pallone” landed in Formello in these hours, he would find a certain confusion, a clash of intentions, a not even too latent division in the locker room (Rossi’s management effects, for sure)
The Martian would meet exhausted players and would find out that, strangely, none of them is a true central midfielder; he would see a Ledesma consumed by the tension; a resigned Pandev, a Firmani who cannot believe what’s happening, plus some ghosts walking around (“Bonetto who?”); a Zarate upset about a team that does not understand him, or does not assist him, according to the point of views; an overwelmed Kolarov; a guy named Eliseu; a group that waits for something to happen, hoping for the next break to arrive soon, and then Christmas and January, which will fix all the wounds.
It does not matter if until then there are many matches to play: the night shall pass, as always in football. And then there is the Supercup, kept on the shelf: as a “memento” for the few who do not believe the motto “no need to reinforce the team, you win anyway”.
Our Martian friend would ask himself some marginal and inopportune questions, and certainly arrogant: such as wondering why if such team, which triumphed at Bejing, can end up struggling in the bottom of the table.
With some gestures (the river Tevere that’s ok, but how would you mime a huge building complex?) we would tell him that it’s not a problem we are worrying about. At the moment, the cohesive Laziali have everything they need. Thanks, they are perfectly fine like that.

The true is that this is very complex issue. For a moment I felt like that martian.

| A good article and, while I can't sympathise with Goran Pandev, I can sympathise with all others involved - Ledesma, Firmani, Stendardo, Lichti and Matu, not to mention the 26,000+ abbonati who are being insulted with this mess.
Its an ugly situation, I've always tried to remain neutral in the pro-Lotito, anti-Lotito debate. The way things are going though, make it a lot harder to do that.
The death of lazialita' at the club is for me the most worrying thing about it all though, putting aside the embarrassment squad management we're seeing from Lotito and Tare.

Don´t go to the games and he will have to sell. As much as i agree with you, this will never happen. The fans love for supporting the team is bigger than their hatred of the president.

| I think that our main problem is we don't have a good coach, we need someone with strong personality to battle Lotito and to introduce order in the dressing room, and of course he should be a good coach | |

| Look our midfield and then tell again its the fault of the coach....you can be as charismatic and have the biggest personality in the world....but you cant change mauri or baronio to worlds class midfielders...they are average trap and accept it...Things above are smellng really bad...and be even happy Balla is still confident and happy in his position...he has some complicated times at the moment... | |

| we can't compete with the top clubs that's why we don't need our midfielders to be world class. You can call me a fool or naive but I think Mauri and Baronio can get the job done. That's why I'm saying we need some one who can inspire the guys to give 150% of themselves and someone who can take risks. We are lacking players right now - so call some one from the primavera | |
