I'm not that sentimental, though! But after seeing you in MySpace and reading all testimonials Laziale gave to you, I gotta to be honest that it touches my heart deeply...

I often think about Alija and what he shared with us on Laziofever over the years. Although I was unable to meet him personally I think about him often and what a great person he was and still is and much loved by all of us. You will forever have a place in our hearts friend and will never forget you and your love for everything and everyone.

That's true Edo. I too remember Alija mentioning Zarate on numerous occasions while Zarate was still 17-18 and playing for Velez. In the old LazioFever in the who do we recommend Lazio buy section, Alija has spoken very highely of Zarate and said that it would be his dream if Zarate would one day come and play for us.

Well Alija, your wish has come true. Hope you see it bro...

Its been a while but I always wanted to say this.

He was a special guy, I will never forget him, the day I stumbled by mistake into the news that he passed away was one of the harder days in my life as he was so full of life and kindness and joy.

About the players you liked and those that would frustrate you. Your eternal faith in Inzaghino, your Pandev comments. Your Lotito criticism.
Now I think about which new players' arrival would make you happy. About what expectations you would build up during the summer ahead of the coming season.
Like most of us I know you would be anxious for the new season to begin, to watch our Lazio on the field again, to support our colors, to hope, dream and live our unique Lazio emotions.

Now after a long absence I come back to this forum and somehow expect to still find you here, the way it's always been.
And in many ways you are here, the way we got to know you, through this forum and community, in every thread, in every post, reading every word written here, the way you always did and am sure you are doing still. Watching over us...

To me you are a huge part of Lazio, of my Lazio world, forever!
I missed you but now that I am back here in the forum amongst our Lazio family I feel you a little closer.

Ciao, hello, good to be here again my friend and FORZA LAZIO!

I know I already spoke of my sadness on hearing of Alija's passing in the piazzadellaliberta forum, but I felt I should say a little something here.

I was not on LazioFever enough to realise that Alija suffered from any illness or sickness, but it's a credit to his tremendous strength and courage that I never knew, for it shows how positive and brave he was.

Alija was quite clearly a tremendous person and a true inspiration to us all. He will never be forgotten, he will live long in the hearts of every laziale who knew him.

I just happened to sign up to piazzadellaliberta on the day of his death and I am happy that I did, the tributes have shown me that he really was the special character reflected in his posts.

We had numerous debates on various aspects of Lazio and as far as I can recall, we agreed on most things. He had a deep understanding of football and of life and he is sorely missed by us all.

Rest in peace Alija.

I miss him a lot. Alija was a good guy. I miss his post game comments. Typical Bosnian character. The god took him away too early.
