zekipula (SRB) - My (Bad) Experience '09

My name is Željko and I live in Croatia, Pula.I've been a fan of Lazio for fifteen years.I'd desided to take my colegues on a football match of my favorite football club.Lazio, off course.We arrived in Roma on 13.12.2009. and searched for tickets for the match.After few non succesfull tryings to buy them in the citty ( bar in Via Serpenti and few lottomatica)and arrond the stadium, we couldn't get them.We tried to get them in Via Calderini in Lazio official shop and there they told us that the menagement of Lazio had decided to forbide entrance into the match to everybody except the citizens of Roma, what we didn't know.They didn't want to sell us tickets for the match.Sad, we got back to the stadium hoping we coul'd find tickets, but we didn't.The boys who sell tickets ( resellers) seamed a little bit susspicial and we didn't believe we woul'd get in with their tickets.The only thing we coul'd do was to buy some accessories of Lazio and take pictures on the Olympico stadium, what we did.On the Olympico stadium we met some nice workers ( stewards) who were very sadly we couldn't see the match.They were so kind and tried to help us on every possible way they coul'd, but also without success!!!THANK YOU GUYS...If You read this , you will recognize yourselves and please send me private message.They were really sad for our helpless situation and one of them gave me a scarf of Lazio to my little sun who is 6 and also A BIG FAN OF LAZIO ...Other one gave me stickers of Lazio which I shall stick to every car in my town , Pula in Croatia.After unseccsfull tryings to buy tickets and enter into the Stadium, we turned arround and took way back to the hotel.While we were walking sad and dissapointed, in opposite way were coming fans of Lazio from Roma happy to go and see the match.They were woundering why we were going the opposite way from the Stadium???We could't believe what had just happened to us , and sat sad and quiet on our beds in hotel.I still can't belive what has happened to us...But the only positive thing is LAZIO HAS FINALLY WON!

Oh no..... that's a real shame mate. I'm sorry that happened.

That really sucks man. We always try and help members to get tickets before hand. Next time let us know if you plan to come for a match and we will see what we can do.

Ciao Željko, it's a real shame what happened and also a pity nobody could help you.

It was not Lazio's management that allowed the sale only to the people resident in the region.
It was the prefect. His decision followed the one from the Ministry to forbid the match to Genoa fans.

Needlessly to say, it's completely ridiculous what happened, I feel very sorry and I hope you understand the situation: the football system is going down also because of these ridiculous people and their crazy decisions.
An advice, should it happen again. In such an emergency situation, the black market is an ok solution...

This world is f*cked up by some friggin' mad rules.

Zekipula, at least the stewards saw your Lazialità, and did what they could do to lift up this bad experience.

Sorry to hear that, Željko. Getting tickets in Italy can be a real problem lately... you never know what rules would there be.
It's good if you check about the rules before every game if you want to buy tickets. Even when going to Udine I do.

That is indeed horrible Zeljko.

I was there for Bologna match and if that happened to me, I would have suffered a heart attack.


However, there are positive things that you could take into account: Croatia is close to Italy, no visas needed, so you can go in spring in a match
with lower risk.

why , before such a long trip, u did not catch some info in this forum?
As you can see we are here helping each other for la Lazio and , mainly , for all Laziali abroad!

Next time be aware and ready to join us.

Yes Ermetico , it's my fault, but as they say older people " learn from mistakes". But this we turned suddenly and unexpectedly, and as I was excited because I'm going to watch my favorite team I totally forgot the forum.Next time I will also call you to caffe e briosch o birra and i would like to meet you.

Very few tickets were available and those ones with major risk because Only the montemario ones could be "transformed" in names and dates.

I hope in the future that la societa' could find a system to sell tockets to ALL trough internet.
