Sergio Floccari is confirmed to Lazio

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has confirmed that Inter hitman David Suazo will join his club, while Sergio Floccari is on his way to Lazio. Both signings will initially be loans, with an option to purchase at the end of the season.

"Floccari will go to Lazio, we have already reached an agreement with the capital club," he revealed to Radio Incontro.

"I won't talk about [financial] figures, but it will be a loan with a right of redemption."

Floccari's departure will be substituted by the arrival of Suazo.

"Today we closed the deal with Inter, he will arrive on loan with the right of redemption."

Both Floccari and Suazo have often found themselves relegated to the bench this season and will be eager to make an impression for their new teams as soon as possible.

Loan with option to buy (worth around 9 million euros), it seems to me our beloved El Presidente looking for a short term solution, there's no way in the world we would spend 9 million euros on him this summer..

He's decent player but certainly isn't worth 9 million euros

Sergio Floccari is a class act, Juve and Inter were after him last season. I am over the moon with this signing, hope it pays off. We need the tactics however before he can become a success.

Who do you guys want to take ? Maybe Messi or Tevez ? You all have to understand that big stars don't want to come to Lazio because the team doesn't play in Europe every year and because of Lotito's low payment ..

I think that Floccari is a good transfer. He was great at Atalanta and just didn't have the chance to show what he can do in Genoa and now he will have that chance. If he does well we can buy him and if he doesn't he will go back to Genoa ..

Floccari is an excellent move! and I don't see why not to pay 9 mil for him if he scores 10-15 goals...

I agree,he showed some good skills in Atalanta. However Bianchi was also incredible before he came to us. Floccari has been on the bench the last half season,so I don't beleive he will be brilliant to start with.

Mauri --- Baronio --- Matuzalem --- Dabo

It´s easy to see that Floccari is the wrong move.

But atleast something is happening.

In this moment even me , as a player, can be good for la Lazio.
I don't like floccari career and last season is full of problems but, as a fact, he scored 4 goals that are more then our best player Cruz.
Ps Cruz has requested to leave la Lazio and , the main reason, is that he wants to quit as a player so we absolutelu need someone in the front line.
In any case Floccari agent is now travelling for the final meeting with Lotito and Tare. I hope that, tonight or tomorrow the Floccari will be defined.

What I mean is that I would rather have more quality on midfield.

Well it's nice to see that people have faith in this guy, let us hope he join in January then. I guess we're not in a position to be picky when it comes to additions to the squad.

I really don't have an idea why we signed Floccari, I dont think he's what we need, Floccari needs a teamworker next to him, like Del Piero, Pandev and all these no10's he needs players to make space for him and provide him with chances just like what Zarate and Rocchi currently need, instead of buying what we need we bought someone with simillar charactersitics to what we have unbeleivable, we will still not score with Zarate, Rocchi and Floccari upfront unless we sign somebody who is a teamworker and has some creativity and skill.

i'm happy with this transfer. Because we need goals, 10 goals in serie a is a joke!!!

You're right, we still need more supporting players, but if Cruz' injury is going to result in him retiring, and Rocchi's future is not clear, this is a very good move.

From that perspective yes, but I think first we need to find Zarate a partner upfront who can compliment him only than should we look about the players that are leaving and how to replace them.

Of course we need someone new in the middle...but if I take a look at our score sheet thus far, I have to say that a new striker, who of course is not worldclass, but a ver y solid player, is a decent signing which I'm very happy about!!

We needed striker like Flocari.. So very big welcome from me! Now, reinforce the midfield!!!

this is a really good signing... I liken this to lazio signing rocchi a few years ago...

But the major issue is with the midfield... we need 2 midfield players and 1 strong defender I think...

Just hope to be better replacement of Cruz. But why we don't search any midfielders is beyond me.... Really this is another mercato that I can't understand!

The mercato didn't start at all! So, well...perhaps this time something good finally will happen
But I think that Floccari is a good beginning and that at least one little problem has been solved!
