Hello everybody,

on this day I want to visit a Lazio match for the first time. I was in Rome 2006 but couldn't visit a Lazio match.

I arrive on 22nd March at Ciampino, on 24th I fly back. I have a hotel in Castel Gandolfo. I think I will see some beautiful places which I couldn't see in 2006. I hope there is not such a cold weather in Rome like in Germany at the moment.

Well, I have to practice a bit the Italian language, but I didn't read on the Lazio Homepage, that there are any restrictions to citizens outside from Rome/Lazio. (Against Siena I would be surprised). Anyway, if you know about some problems plese let me know.

If nothing goes wrong I will write here detailled about my short holiday.

During this time I wish that the situation for Lazio will not worsen. FORZA LAZIO!!

Hi,
YESSS I got my ticket for the match tomorrow. I was in the Lazio-Shop in Via degli Scipione 84 on Monday and they ordered for me, so I could get the ticket today.

After my arrival on Monday I first went to Termini and bought a 3-day-ticket for metro etc. There was also a bustour inclusive. So I just relaxed and watched from such an open bus. After some walking around I took the train to Marino Laziale. My hotel was in Castel Gandolfo but in direction to Rocca di Papa, so from the station in Marino it was nearer. The hotel was not easy to find. There were also two main problems: it is difficult to find somebody who can speak good english, luckily I found a man, maybe 30 years old, who helped me to find my hotel. But I also needed a taxi, because it is not easy to carry luggage because of the cliffy streets there. The young man called a taxi for me, which is also not easy to find.

I was lucky, the taxi-driver had only few knowlege about the english language, but I found out that hi was Lazio-fan, too. "Marino tutti Laziali" he said, well the name of the town says it Wink

But that was the end of my luck, the hotel were I reserved was closed. But the taxi-driver called in another hotel were he knew somebody and brought me to "Hotel Villa Aricia" in Arricia beneath Albano Laziale. 50 euros for one night, well there are hotels which are more expensive. While bringing me to this hotel, he switched off the taximeter - good solidarity between Laziofans. The name of the hotel I was first is "Villa Dewi Francesca", seen from outside it seems to be a nice hotel but it was closed.

Today I just got my ticket (Tribuna tevere, Curva nord not available in this store). I went back to Termini very fast and walked around in the towns of Arricia and Albano. I feel happy when I sometimes see there a store a bar or whatever where is Lazio-stuff in the window or some cars have Lazio-stickers. In Rome itself there is more AS Roma stuff.

Well tomorrow I need a victory of Lazio and everything is ok.

Well, that's what I found out, too, when I looked on the timetable at Termini. And so said the woman in the Hotel in Arricia to me. That's why I stayed oly two nights there. The night after match I took Hotel Capitol, Via G.Amendola near Termini for 60 Euros. But I chose the Area around Lake Albano, not because of money, but because of the landscape. I am also interested in historic/archeologic topics, so in this area I saw something I did'nt see before.

To Via Calderini:
you mean Via Guglielmo Calderini near Stadio Flaminio? I forgot the number of the store, but the street wasn't very long. I walked up und down but didn't find anything. Maybe I was blind. In Via Scipione they said to me, that Via Calderini is closed on mondays, because I was there on Monday. (I'm not sure if they really said this, their english wasn't very well.)

To the match: nearly 40000 spectators is good number for a atch on Wednesday. Of course it was a great experience. That Lazio won was a perfect conclusion to my short trip. Even at Tribuna Tevere there was sometimes great atmosphere. I was in 35BD and the half of sub-rank on Tevere was standing. Finally I could hear all the songs I know from Lazio live. "Non mollare mai" was best. Also good was the "Je ne famo tre" in second half. After the match it was easy to come to the hotel. I just walked over the Tevere to Piazza Mancini, where I took bus nr.910 to Termini, no changing, just easy.

When will I come again? Not before next year I think. As a student on Franfurt University I do not earn so much money and I have to do some other journeys this year I think.

Besides the match the warm welcome by some people there in Provincia di Roma will stay in my memory.

A funny experience: I wanted to buy a Lazio cup in Via Farini shop near Termini. It was stored in a little carton. When I unpacked in the hotel, it was no cup but a savings box of the same material.
But no problem: next day I went to the shop again, and with some words in Italian (dictionary was always with me) I showed my problem, and this older woman in the Irriducibili pullover said "scusi" and gave me the right article.
