Fixture 2008/09

I heard that it will be held on Friday, July 25. Is it correct ?
I haven't seen any topic about fixture of new season so I tend to open one.

already sure for this season that there will be no midweek derby games played (in Roma, Milano, Torino, Genova), which was the case last season

If I am not wrong we could face one of the top sides as early as week 1 like Milan, Juve, and Inter. If I am not wrong, there is a rule that the top 4 sides cann't face each other in the first rounds

there will be no Derby during the first round... and the lega has confirmed no derbies midweek, which personally is great news and great also for the fans of Lazio

there is a seeding process but I'm not sure how that works.

Any ideea when the season starts ?

There is the possibilty of a derby in the first round.

It's gonna be a free draw for the calendar, so Inter v Juve, or Milan v ASR is possible in the 1st game.

Only in the 3 midweek games (all on Wednesdays : 24 Sept 08 - 29 Oct 08 - 28 Jan 09) there will be no derbies (Roma - Milano - Torino - Genova) or 'big-match' fixtures.

Teams sharing the same grounds (Roma - Milano - Torino - Genova), will invert their home advantage for the new season, so last season Lazio began the season against Torino (2-2), now we will begin away from home... ASR, ACMilan, Torino and Sampdoria will play at home, so that are already 4 possibilities.

On 3 Sundays there will be no Serie A due to Italy's qualification for W Cup 2010, those are 7 Sept 08 - 12 Oct 08 - 29 Mar 09.

At what time will it be held ?

good chance to get off to a good win, although I think Cagliari could be very dangerous this season.

ohhh everywhere rai due link is not working so i check gazetta and kataweb

If i remember correctly we have 3 tough games, 2nd day Lazio - Sampdoria, 3rd Milan - Lazio, 4th Lazio - Fiorentina.
Not such an easy start to the season.
