Hehe thats funny but Qatar is allied to usa and has a US army and air force base there... + they have a good relation with iran, which makes it a very weird country :s
Update on the zrate deal: Lotito managed a 7 year contract ?

Yeah ..or should we say "allies" ? But we are talking about something else
Zarate 7 years sounds good and i don`t know why here thinks that 20 mil is too much. They relay on Rocchi ok ..but how much will Tommy going to play ? 1 more year ? 2 ? And Zarate did alot for us this season..considering that he isnt the ultimate striker. I think he loves this club and Lotito should do anything to keep him (maybe selling sometimes with 50 mils ? )

Would Maurito be presented as a 100% Laziale today before the game..
Half hour to kick-off, they are warming up right now at Olimpico..
Wish to be there right now!

After match Lotito interview: Presidente lotito speech , 30 minutes, aimed on Zarate deal and he gave a long description of his personal life, his talent, his behaviour, then he moved up la Lazio and the salary cap, the debts, the stadium , then to the Team and today match... after all he start talking bout Zarate, Al saad and , at the end , the fact is that the deal is not yet signed. We were there and all journalist were confused by Lotito speech and ecah one gaves his own idea of the whole conversation. Personlly i believe tthat the deal is still "undercosntruction" and thinks will be delayed until next tuesday or wensday.
Is a battle that he can't loose.

That little history speech fears me. Maybe he wait to see if we can made Uefa for next season.

This is what I think happened:
Lotito when talking Zarate on loan from Al Saad never agreed with them on a fixed price to buy him. The contract had a deal of a loan + the right to purchase Zarate at a NEGOTIABLE price. So the negotiations are taking place...
If Lotito lets Zarate go, I will not only lose my respect to the management of Lazio (although even now I have very little respect for them), but also S.S.Lazio. I will totally lose respect for a team which after 2001, when all the best players left, finally brought in a WORLD TALENT, MADE HIM ITS IDOL, THE FAVOURITE OF THE FANS, and then lets him go.
Lotito has 4 days to prove he is not a romanista.

This is not the case...we have a fixed price for Zarate, the hold up is we are negotiating how to pay the amount, in installments etc. I think they are leaning towards an upfront purchase where Lotito, I believe wants 2 payments of 8m over 2 years.

The Al Sadd management keep publishing comments like "Lazio has only until end of April" and "If we cannot agree on terms we will loke elsewhere"..
If there is a fixed price, how hard can the negotiations be? I still feel there is something dodgy going on. Lotito has not got everything under control...

Thats the thing I don't get it either. If I go to the market and see potatoes for 10$, the potatoes are 10$. Now if I don't have that 10$, well thats another story.

you are not right mate.. Lotito has a financial plan that he must follow to bring Lazio out of debt. that is why he can't spend a large amount of money for good players, that is why we have the salary cap (which Lotito moved up already)

Regardless whether ermetico says that an announcement will come soon on Zarate, I believe that we wont hear a thing for months.
Lotito has been saying "very soon" re: the Pandev contract for 18 months now? this Zarate deal will either happen in the next 48hrs or fall through. I believe its the later.
With Lotito's games and delays, other stronger teams will pounce. Lotito treats player agreements as if he has all the time in the world & he is holding the aces, but in the new world of lazio football, money talks and Lotito walks!

Lotito should have bought one half of Zarate's contract months ago and now we wouldn't be in this mess.
