Albano Bizzarri, the 31-year-old Argentine goalkeeper, has revealed he is leaving Catania to join Lazio.

The former Real Madrid stopped has been a revelation this season, keeping eight clean sheets.

“I am very happy about this new adventure. I am going to play with Lazio, it's all signed,” Bizzarri told Viva la Radio.

“As for the official unveiling, the date has yet to be fixed. This season has been very important for me.

“But when I told Catania that I would not sign for them, they did not want to play me anymore,” he concluded.

I think this is a good move, although Muslera should be our future first Keeper, we should cash on Carrizo and use that money to reinforce our Defensive line. I think Muslera deserves the starting spot, but we don't know if he's gonna be consistent enough so we need a good back up and I'm sure Bizzare's salary is a lot less than Carrizo's. So as it looks right now Carrizo will be on his way out... Maybe to Atletico Madrid, they were the only team who inquired about him, I think 10M for him was too much and if we could the money back we should let him go.

i gree 100%,10 mil. for him is to much(he do not deserve a milion),bizzari is good one(i liked him when he was in catania(this seasson against us he was briliant),whith carizo moneys i think we can do some good things

Free transfer, I agree this is a good transfer, Bizzarri has already proved he can do well in Serie A. I doubt Atletico Madrid will be buying Carrizo as they've already bought Asenjo from Valladolid from what I've heard.(Correct me if I'm wrong)

Yep...at least he played this season, he played well .. and most of it..he played in Italy. I think it`s a good move..although i preffer Muslera for the starting team.

This is excellent.

Two good keepers in Muslera and Bizzarri and two great penalty specialists. I don't think there are too many keepers in Italy better than these two at saving penalties. Competition is a good thing as well. I'd hope Muslera starts as the no.1 but that's for the new coach to decide.

Bizzarri has proven himself in Italy against the best so no risk either.

I'm a big fan of Bizzarri and am happy to see him at Lazio. A very good addition to the squad. This surely means Carrizo will be either sold or loaned out which is a shame as he didn't get too much of a chance to prove himself but I am more than happy with having Muslera and Bizzarri as our goalkeepers. Albano is a top player and has proved it for years, will add experience and quality to our side, as well as some competition.

I fail to accept the fact that Carrizzo should go.. he is an amazing goalkeeper.. he just needs a confidence boost..

I dont blame the goals he got when we had the worst defensive line in the begining of the season..

Muslera has been great but honestly, we need to lighten up with Carrizzo..

Atletico Madrid and Valencia are trailing him... 2 teams that are in teh Champions League.. how can he suck?

Great reflexes and composure, I like his style..

With the signing of Bizzari, it just makes me sick in the guts that we spent that hiddeous amount of money on Carrizzo.
