| He didn't have a good game today but I don't understand the people in the stands. The whole team except for Foggia, Muslera and maybe Rocchi were really poor so why pick on Cribari?
His statement was a bit rash and maybe he should have stayed quiet.
So, come summer Delio will leave along with Cribari and Lotito will simply take Stendardo back as Cribari's replacement.

| Cribari, over the last few years has been our best spokesman and praisegiver off the pitch.
He loves this club and if he's leaving, it's either because he can't handle it here or someone wants rid of him.
Either way, it's a disgrace and if you're judging Cribari for these comments, you shouldn't. This is not the kind of thing he says lightly.

| Cribari is an under par defender, I dnt care what he says or he doesn't, if he leaves then we have a chance of finding a better one. All our Cb fail at football, that is no surprise, if the worst part of this team is demanding something or saying hes leaving so then sayonara to them! Cribari should learn how to play football first before he opens his mouth. | |

| Before you guys start judging this guy just remember his performance, pure lazialita against bucharest in the CL qualifiers. With a face mask on and he cleared every ball in the air with no fear.
Something is very wrong now... Cribari is very honest.

| I would sell Rozehnal, Siviglia, Diakite and Tuia before I'd sell this guy.
In fact, I would sell anyone before Cribari. His passion is on a par with Foggia's even if it doesn't appear obvious.
Seriously, any fan who whistled at Cribs today is a disgrace and if he leaves on the back of this, I don't blame him. 4 back-to-back classy displays from a man who LOVES this club and expressed a desire to be captain is whistled because of one game???
That's a joke folks. | |

That's a joke folks. it's a crowd caxi... crowd!! no one can handle the crowd, anything can happen in the crowd.. when a few people booing/whistling and then hundreds or thousands others will follow them without even thinking.... it shouldn't take really seriously with a statement like that... a child statement, i bit similar with mancini's statement after inter kicked out from CL last year... and what did he expect from those crowd anyway?standing ovation??? he made a stupid girlish tackle, and the crowd was booing him for it... as simple as that, no need to exaggerate...

| When Mancini made that comment it was so he would get sacked and get paid millions a year rather than resign and lose it. Somehow, I feel Cribari means it.
Seems he was more annoyed with Delio than the crowd.
That second goal was like something you'd see off a rubbish team in PES. Can't blame his tackle for it.
All in all, it doesn't make sense.

| Caxi, I respect Cribari for the reasons you listed and when you compare him to Rozehnal for example, he's a decent defender.
but playing for Lazio comes with a certain pressure, a lot of it. If you can't handle this pressure then Lazio isn't the club for you.
Obviously something is wrong in the dressing room and some changes in summer should hopefully wipe that away.
Emilson needs to decide between now and then if he wants to remain at the club. The tifosi were not blaming him for the entire result.

You would sell a player who's grown in the academy of the team ? Rozehnal is 10 times better than Siviglia, Diakite and Cribari, but Rossi is stupid and doesn't give him any chances to show it ... He and Cribari are our best central defenders.

He can handle the pressure though, we have seen it many a time in the past. All our defenders are error prone but Cribari is the least error prone. I even think it's harsh to blame him for the second goal yesterday. He should never have had to make that tackle and even then, Siviglia should have sorted it. When the fans turn on you after a bad game which everyone has suffered and when your coach tries to tell you how you're feeling when you know yourself, then that's disheartening. I hope he can set it aside and move on. Nevertheless, this Lazio defence minus Cribari equates to tenth or below in the table.

| Cribari breaks with Lazio Monday 16 March, 2009
Lazio defender Emilson Cribari has told President Claudio Lotito he might as well not pay him from now until the end of the season, such is his desire to leave the club.
The 28-year-old Brazilian, who has been with the Biancocelesti since 2005, broke down in tears after his side lost 3-0 at home to Chievo yesterday afternoon.
Cribari had a nightmare of a game and was booed off by the fans when he was substituted with eight minutes remaining.
“I will leave Lazio at the end of the championship,” an emotional Cribari told journalists. “I have decided that I will speak with the President.
“If Lotito wants he can even keep the last three or four months of my wages, it's honestly not a problem with me.”
The former Empoli and Udinese centre-back then reassured his teammates and Lazio's fans that he would still contribute to the team when called upon.
“I will do my bit if I come to be selected from now until the end of the season. But when the campaign comes to a close I will ask to leave.
“I've been thinking about this for a while now. I no longer feel wanted here,” Cribari concluded in tears.
Cribari has made 15 appearances for Lazio this season and is widely regarded as a vital cog in their defence.
This completely sucks. I'm a big admirer of Criba and hope he stays. No one deserves that treatment from the fans, anyone can have an offday and I'm truly disappointed by these news. Please reconsider Edmilson.

| Six months ago, he said he loved the club, wished to one day become captain and retire here. Now, he is desperate to leave and the fact he is willing to go unpaid until he does is perhaps a symbol of his love for the club.
Whether it's the fans or Rossi, something is driving this chap insane. If I could sign a petition for him to stay that I knew would get to him, I would.

Nevertheless, this Lazio defence minus Cribari equates to tenth or below in the table. True, siviglia should have sorted out the mess on the second goal, but everyone makes mistakes from time to time, its just a shame that almost all the players were bad yesturday. Cribari is clearly upset by his treatment and to be fair he doesnt deserve to feel like he is unwanted. He says its been brewing for some time, maybe this was the final nail to stuff behind closed doors that we don't know about. Hopefully he will play a key part in a derby victory and reconsider his position. No one deserves to leave like this

| Emilson's brother spoke today.
He said a footballer who gives his all on the pitch should never have his dignity removed. Apparently, the fact that Rossi took Cribari off an replaced him with another defender when we were 2-0 down was viewed by Emilson as Delio making an example of him and he refuses to take that kind of treatment. Rightly so, his brother has said that the Champions League qualifier where he risked his health for the good of Lazio has long been forgotten.
You know, this incident is making me think that Rossi should definitely go. I think he already made an example of Cribari earlier in the season and now he has done it again. Shameful.

I totally agree, he played with that mangled cheeckbone. He fought for every header knowing that the slightest misjudgment could end his career. I think he has been our best defender this season, doesn't mean he has been great but when the whole defence suffers it's hard to pick up individual performances. If there were a petition to ask Cribari to stay I'd sign it.

| How does Rossi think when he KNOW that a player in his team not have had his best game and let Cribari go out only some min from the end....i can say that his confidence and such not go up after that, plz Rossi use your head and stand up for your players ! Cribari had not a good game but did the rest of the team that? To blame everything on 1 player is really sad....and also that no other team mate stand up for him, i think its a team but now i dont know 3 points next game and Cribari STAY ! | |

Can we do something for Emilson? Like a letter from all of us... showing how much we appreciate his efforts! After all the undeserveed boos he got, we've got to make it known that those where in the heat of that moment, Rossi might have done a mistake in replacing him.. but we still love Cribari!

these are the fans that put their money in each week to follow this team, they might earn in a year what Cribari earns in a week. Maybe the players should start to respect the support the tifosi provide each week, at the Olimpico or in trasferta. I'm a big fan of Cribari but if I was a regular in the curva his comments would disgust me, and it shows he can't handle the pressure of playing for Lazio, the pressure of playing for the popolo laziale.

I see what you mean and I agree, that the players should definitely show more support and respect to Lazio and the fans. However I meant it more as, okay the guy has done well since he joined, he plays with heart and from comments he has made you can tell the guy loves playing for Lazio and wants to stay here longer. One of not too many players in the squad who show a Laziale spirit and passion, and this is how he gets treated. I am pissed off that only he was booed at. I assume he is pissed off at that too. A large majority of the team was not playing good yet he was the main victim of the whistling. How come? He said those comments after the match. He should not have said them obviously - he is a professional, so I agree, but at the same time the fans were not fair on him. When he played well over the last 3-4 games I didn't see or read about any negative abuse directed towards him so why from just one bad game he gets this? Only Cribari? Unless there is more to it (I guess living in Rome or Italy would be better in understanding the situation more clearly), then none of this should have happened - not from Cribari's side, nor from the fans and tifosi. If booing is to happen then I guess the entire team should get it following such a performance against Chievo. Only Muslera and Foggia were trying in that match.

(remember Delio's treatment at Baronio, Stendardo etc, its a very long list btw) on the one side the idea of leaving behind the guilty players maybe good for motivation and competition on the team... but maybe the problem is laid on how to implement such thing... Delio's way maybe too mean, too hard or too arrogant to be understood ... just my thought tho..
