Those who won't get playing time will get loaned. In Ballardini, they are working with a top notch youth coach so I am not exactly worried.

The huge squad is back for training, well most of them. I am certainly relieved to see the player at the top left of this photo but can't quite believe that the two on the right are still around

Note Inzaghi, Scaloni, Stendardo, Zauri and Firmani. It seems we may not be freezing anyone out of the squad like last year yet.

Mendicino (Mediterranean Games?) and Matuzalem aren't present nor are Ba­ronio and Bonetto (holiday - make it long )...

Some quick info:

Plays at Trelleborgs FF at the moment, one of the smaller teams in the highest league of Sweden. Came up through the youth ranks of Malmö FF, a club that has produced quite a few good Swedish players through the years. He was loaned out to his current club, and they later on signed him on a permament basis (2006). He started his carreer as a central defender, but then switched to a goal getter and played as an attacker for some years, before switching back to the his original position. Naturally, he is a pretty good goal scorer when considering his position (11 goals in 70 games for Trelleborg). He has made his debut for the senior national team just recently, and as most of you know he had a good tournament with the under 21 team this summer. In the under 21 team he has sometimes been used as a left back.


Recently he has been followed by quite a few teams in Europe, mainly from the Netherlands. It is said that he has expressed that he is a Lazio fan, but maybe you can check that up Erme
