| I was reading his wikipedia article and this got me interested: From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alessandro_TuiaGrowing up as a kid Alessandro had it quite rough living in the poor district of Castellana. There the small town was run by Romanian drug lords it even resulted in a friend of Tuia's being kidnapped by the Romanians. Despite his hard childhood he says he will never forget his roots and has "Il Americano" tatooed to his chest which was the name of his gang. Anyone know more about this? | |

he is training with them, and I think Rossi will use him during the season...not too many games but slowly introduce him to all of us in the Senior team, dont you think?

| I hope he is given a chance this season. Obviously he will probably not get too many games but I am confident in that Rossi has developed some great youngsters over the years and hopefully he uses Tuia the best way possible and introduces him to the first team at Lazio.
All the best Alessandro!!!!

| In 2006-07, Lorenzo De Silvestri played 2 or 3 matches. Then last year was a regular.
I think that this year, Tuia will play 2 or 3 and then next year, maybe Tuia will also become more of a regular.

| One of the commentators in the Liverpool game said something like this when he came from the bench: "This is what so many people talking about in Rome now, il nuovo Nesta, the next Nesta...
He was a bit disaster in the match against Porto.. but I'm sure his day will come in the very near future...

this is of more significance now...he appears to have been thrown in at a deeper end than he perhaps realised, it's important now that Delio doesn't damage his confidence by playing him in games where he just can't compete.

| Hey, I noticed this forum when I was searching information about him. I don't remember what the commentators said about him in the match against Liverpool but I remember hearing them speak highly of him, thing like "... everyone is waiting for him...". I really want to see him play this season. And of course, we have to keep him away from other club such as AC Mian (who's taken away Nesta from us) or Juventus (like they've done with Stendardo). I strongly believe that he will be our new symbol.
By the way, how about Marco Faraoni ? Is he also a young prospect or just a young player like anyone else ?

| Still very young, and as a central defender he needs to slowly get some confidence and become secure in his game. He is not mature enough to be a vital piece of our defence yet, but with time and a few games in the top flight this season he will develop into something big. But we should def not put too much pressure on him. No one should... | |

Tuia is an Italian name. You get alot of dark Italians, espescially the further south you go.

| I would have preferred if he stayed. Not because I want to see him play regularly but because I believe working under a coach like Ballardini and playing sparingly would boost his ability quicker than going to Monza where nobody is truly sure if he will play regularly or not.
In any case, I hope he features prominently for them without burning himself out and I look forward to seeing the adult Tuia next season.

| I would have loved to see him develop inside Lazio, but if he is ready to play games against "senior" opposition week in and week out, a move to a team in the lower leagues could give him good experience for coming years. It will be interesting too evaluate what player he really is, and what we can expect from him in the future. I cant see him play as a regular with us, the guy is very young and considering the kind of experience you need in Serie A to be succesful in the back lines, he would never stand a chane to get regular time. Not yet.
At the same time, a new coach would have been a nice chance for Tuia to develop further. Ballardini would give him guidance and he could develop fastly with us as well. I guess a lot of what will happen this coming years is dependingon if he will get proper playing time in Monza or not.

| Wait, so playing say 10 games for Lazio would be good?? Yes the training would be very beneficial but IMO a loan is the best move for him, nothing compensates for regular senior football; but not this loan.
Frosinone and Crotone were both interested in him, why send him to Monza?? Serie B is a step above Serie C and if he can cut his teeth in Serie B then he'd be more than ready to play for Lazio in 2010-11.
He would surely get plenty of game time at any club outside the top flight.

| We didn't loan Nesta out when he was developing, we just gradually introduced him into the first team.
I'm now beginning to wonder if Tuia was the talent we had hoped he was. Surely we could have game him 10 or so games that would have put him well on his way (as it did wih Nesta)?

This is exactlt what i felt when i first heard read the news, if he is the next nesta why is he loaned to seria C1 instead of keeping him on the bench or even loaning him to weaker seria A team ....
