This report suggest that he will participate tomorrow against Atalanta. He is training hard... Thanx! Brilliant news! I cant wait to see Rocchi back in full action. What a brilliant selection: Zarate, Pandev, Rocchi, Foggia...how to form the army...? Not the right place to discuss this I know, I am just very excited! | |

| It seems our Capitano played for 45 minutes in a training match against Atletico Trivento, scoring one in a 9-1 result. Good to see Matuzalem back too. Lazio (primo tempo): Berni, Belleri, Diakite, Cribari, Kolarov, Dabo, Ledesma, Brocchi, Foggia, Rocchi, Zarate Lazio (secondo tempo): Berni (Santarelli), Mutarelli, Faraoni, Cribari (Barone), Radu, Makinwa, Firmani (Kolarov), Matuzalem (Sperati), Mauri, Inzaghi, Cinque Marcatori: Foggia, Rocchi, Foggia, Zarate (pt), Inzaghi, Makinwa, Makinwa, Inzaghi, Makinwa, Iaboni (AT) Do not worry, your eyes haven't failed you, Makinwa actually scored a hat-trick in the 2nd half | |

| Rocchi nets on Lazio return Saturday 11 October, 2008
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tommaso Rocchi made his comeback for Lazio in a friendly match this afternoon and is ready for his Serie A debut.
The striker has been out of action since fracturing a bone in his foot during the Beijing Olympics this August.
He had hoped to be back for the 1-1 draw with Lecce last week, but missed out after coming down with tonsillitis.
Rocchi played 45 minutes in today's friendly test with the Biancocelesti, who beat Atletico Trivento 9-1, and scored a goal.
Stephen Makinwa was the star with a hat-trick, while Pasquale Foggia and Simone Inzaghi bagged a brace each. Mauro Zarate completed the rout.
It has been a great week for Inzaghi, who scored a last-gasp equaliser with Lecce, his first top flight goal in four years.
Rocchi hopes to make his first Serie A appearance of the campaign in the trip to Bologna next week.
It remains to be seen whether he will immediately be used as part of a trident attack, or replacing one of the very effective strike pairing of Goran Pandev and Zarate.
In this friendly, Rocchi played alongside Zarate with support from Foggia, as Pandev

| Lazio's Rocchi horror showLazio striking star Tommaso Rocchi suffered another injury set-back in training and faces a nervous wait for a diagnosis. Rocchi missed the start of the season after he broke his foot while representing Italy in the Olympic Game. The Venetian hitman managed to fully recover in time for Week 7's game against Bologna and marked the occasion with a goal. But now Rocchi has a new injury worry after he fell to the ground in pain during today's training game against Aprilia and limped back to the dressing room. Initial reports suggested that the problem could be serious and may rule him out of action for a month. The news will be a blow to Coach Delio Rossi, who was believed to be planning a trident attack using Mauro Zarate and Goran Pandev against Napoli. Anyone have any news on this?? | |

| I think Piazzadellaliberta reports that today's tests showed the injury to be less serieous that expected at first and Rocchi will definitely miss the Napoli game but as I and the auto translator understood it will be back in less than a month. | |

| Rocchi wants improved attitude Wednesday 10 December, 2008 Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi demands a change of attitude from the Biancocelesti to come out of their current slump.
After a fast start to the campaign, Lazio have gone into freefall of late and are in danger of dropping into mid-table.
The Aquile travel to off-form Udinese this weekend and Rocchi is demanding the right mindset.
“I think that we are never going to get positive results if we don't play as a team,” Rocchi told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
“We need to rediscover our grit and determination. We must be 100 per cent focused on the pitch and give our all to return to winning ways.
'Everyone has to give their contribution on the pitch and to help out their teammates.
“Do we need a leader? I am a leader and I always try and give a positive aura so that we take to the pitch in the right frame of mind.”
GRAZIE CAPITANO!!! | |

For some strange reason, i think he is directing this at Pandev or more so Zarate? Maybe he is intimidated by him, and is having a shot at his selfish play at times... Although i love Zarate's strikers selfish instinct. | |

Although i love Zarate's strikers selfish instinct. Yes he is point that at Zarate, but is not his fault. Couch is making the game and setting the actions at trending. | |

| 16th December 2008 No conflict beetween Rocchi, Pandev and Zarate
Reports in Italian newspapers indicated that an argument beetween Tommaso Rocchi, Goran Pandev and Mauro Zarete should have been taken place after the game against Udinese. Rocchi should according to reports have been unhappy that Zarate and Pandev only passed the ball beetween themselfs and not including him in the game.
However, on monday Rocchis agent Oscar Damiani explained the situation:
"He (Rocchi) explained to me that they were talking internally about going to thank the supporters, perhaps with raised voices, but they did certainly not discussing from a tactical point of view. There will certainly arrive an official statement from Tommaso today or tomorrow, also because beetween him, Pandev and Zarate there are no problems and they are going along both on the pitch and outside", he told calciomercato.it. ________________________

| Apart from denying the row, Rocchi must step up as the captain he is and try to fire up the players on the field. I dont think he has taken his "captainship" as seriously as he should. However, it is a bit hard to do so when you are out for a few games and never really have gotten back in form since... | |

You're right, I remember watching Signori rallying the troops with such passion. We just lack that kind of influential character. Mancini was great at that also. | |

You're right, I remember watching Signori rallying the troops with such passion. We just lack that kind of influential character. Mancini was great at that also. No natural leader is to be found in the team at the moment and that is a large problem for us. We somehow seem to lack an "identity"... | |
