I agree, a brilliant 2nd goal by Di Natale. I started following from 30 min onwards, and Palermo had most of the possession, but didn't really look threatening besides Miccoli. While Udinese look very dangerous on the counter with Di Natale, Qualiarella and Pepe.

Finita. Di Natale looked bloody impressive, though it has to be said, Palermo's defending was rather bad. Could have, and maybe should have been more. Nice opener.

I was impressed by the Udinese defence, something that cannot be said about Palermos dito...Udinese looked very strong!

Now Inter and Sampdoria. Let us see what these teams have to give.

And then tomorrow...damn...wont be able to sleep tonight!

Di Natale is crazy, many times I have dreamed to see him in Lazio.

Lavezzi really has outstanding technique. If only he had the finishing skill in him, he'd be near unstoppable.

I suspect that this deal has sth to do with Inter. Inter an Chievo had similar deals in the past like for example with the Nigerian striker Obinna. Obinna was brought to Chievo by Inter, they payed for the transfer and they decided where will he play next but officially he's a Chievo player.

Besides, Inter were linked to Kerlon for the last two seasons. My guess is that we're going to see Kerlon in a Inter shirt in the next season or two.

Milito back to Genoa is a very nice deal for them. Basta was impressive at the U21 championships last year so if he is still the same player, Lecce have a nice acquisition.

Nesta To Retire From Football?
There are reports in Italy that Alessandro Nesta may retire from football at the end of the current season due to his injury nightmare.

Centre back Nesta has endured a rather injury prone career, all dating back to a serious problem he picked up during the 1998 World Cup in France.

His niggling and chronic injuries, particularly around the groin and back area, eventually led him to retire from international football in 2007. Having played no internationals, the 32-year-old’s fitness had improved, however he still missed around a quarter of last season.

During pre-season training, Nesta’s back problems resurfaced and, according to Sportmediaset, his recovery from the most recent setback is slow, and it could be a long time until he returns to the field.

Nesta is undertaking regular sessions of physiotherapy to try and heal his back pain, but it is widely expected that he will not play again this calendar year.

Yesterday, the former Lazio symbol was excluded from Milan’s roster for the UEFA Cup, as coach Carlo Ancelotti wants to spare him the punishment of an extra midweek European game.

Of more concern to the Rossoneri is the reports circulating that Nesta may decide to hang up his boots at the end of the current season, as the injuries take their toll on the World Cup winner.

That is real sad news Crying or Very sad to see a great like Alessandro perhaps have to retire, and he is still young at 32 he has a lot of years left in him. Hope he does not retire and gets better soon.... it would be a big loss to Calcio football!

Along with Veron, they are my favourite all time Lazio players and in general!

Indeed, I hope this is an over blown rumor. I don't care who's shirt he's wearing, he's a footballer of the highest class.

For me, he has been the best player in world football over the last 10 years, at least out of those who remain in the game. Never got the recognition he deserved because he was so young when he was with us and was always going to be overshadowed by the Maldini dynasty at Milan. Hope he recovers.

I hope you are right Treq that it is an over exaggerated rumour as Sandro has definitely been one of the best defenders in Italy and the world during his career.... a big loss if he were to retire from football!
