We had Barionio's brother in our squad too? I see two Baronio's listed there. You have a good line up there, tough we surely had worse defenders than Siviglia, he had some very good seasons remember his partnership with Crib when we had Peruzzi as our GK, we had close to the best defence in the league, Gottardi certainly doesn't deserve a mention, the guy used to give his all here and had some good performances too. He was certainly better than lets say Sorin and the famous Ola!

Not fair to Muzzi at all , i think Bazzani would easily replace him.

Well, despite the fact that Bazzini scored three goals in 15 games for Lazio and Muzzi four in 39, Bazzini even played for Italy during his prime. Then again, Muzzi now coaches in the Roma youth section. Nuff said.

I would put Gottardi in the first eleven too.. The only thing that stops me is his goal against Rom(erd)a..
Also dont know why you put Muzzi here, he had some good games for us.He scored once very good scissor kick in CL.
I will choose S.Inzaghi infront of Muzzi every day in the week..

He single handedly won us the Coppa Italia in 98!

The two games Gottardi was actually useful in should prevent him from being anywhere near this side...

Have you overdosed on Lucky Charms? Gottardi was a solid and consistant player for us.

Gottardi was substitute whole his period at Lazio.
He surely was pretty strong, and clumsy player who can run the whole game without stoping but, he unfortunately had very poor tehnique and football intellicence. Below average player, but, I still like the guy for his game in coppa. And that is the main reason why I wouldn't put him in the first eleven.

guys , when i started watching lazio (in 1999) , i saw a player named attilio lombardo. how's that man doing? was he good?

Hahah you made me laugh here buddy. He was certainly a cool dude.

Lombardo was a very strange player, a midfielder, who would run a lot.

I don`t know what happened to him after he left Lazio. His name is rarely mentioned in the press, if anything at all.

He became a manager, coached in the lower divisions, not sure where he is now but he was doing the rounds.

Decent player, striking, difficult to forget but by no means a star.

so he's not a star player. that's why i dont realy know him.. hahaha

It's hard to deny that Gottardi had his limitations as a football player, but he was on of the most loyal players ever. And he scored some pretty damn important goals as well. I think he's far away from a team like this.

Just a quick one, but only with players that was regular starters or at least expected to be:

Carrizo, Scaloni, Lequi, Stendardo, Lopez; Bonnani, Baronio, Mendieta; De La Peña; Makinwa, Bazzani

Bench, but only players that weren't expected to start: Berni, Bonetto, Belleri, Manfredini, Keller, Del Nero, Vignaroli

Coach: I'm very sorry to say, but Mimmo Caso

Maybe hard on some players, especially Stendardo, but I think he's been a week defender considering he had such an important role in the team. Can't think of anyone else that was worse as a starter. Maybe Diakité in his first seasons or Cribari in his last. But if this list would have been about loyalty and fighting spirit this trio would be far from it.

I agree. Tjose players that have been mentioned were not very gifted, some just plain flopped, but I guarantee that they had 100% more fight than the players we have today.
