Funny how you forget those things but don't need to cite the author. You seem to remember those details ok.

I used sarcasm there because it's how you like to communicate with me. I'm careful with how I talk to you since you already used the language barrier excuse; but yet you understand sarcasm...hmmm.

I don't have anything personal against you, if I was unfortunate enough to run into you in Rome I would at least offer the hand but past evidence on the forum suggests you wouldn't reciprocate.

I suggest we put this one behind us (for the umpteenth time) and I look forward to the our next exchange.

This topic was going in a very smootly and nice way untill the two provocators, Il Capitano and Caxi, came and start to talk bull. Il Capitano calls other member oppinion trap only cuz he have a different oppinion. It shows how ignorant this man is. Caxi, on the other hand, is allways having a different oppinion than everybody on everything. If 109 people should say that the moon is round he would say, it's not, it's a shape of a bottle or something. I guess it's his way to be noticed by other people. Thank you both for ruining this topic by your usseles coments. Molto grazie.

thank God all mighty he sent us your wisdom and refereeing on who is provoking and which comment is useless.

All you people piss me off, because this is a delicate matter and instead of concentrating on the pros and cons for this protest you dig up ancient fights and twist and turn words every which way. 3 pages of opinions then 2 pages of banter and curses, and by this rate the banter and curses will outweigh the relevant conversation in a matter of hours.

The pros and cons are fairly obvious Sile, it's basically what yourself and Johan said. Which is why I don't approve of it; there are a number of potential scenarios, the most unlikely of which, the Curva prevails in.

But I've already stated this countless times...

how childish has this forum turned? lets focus on what is important.

Conn as the day approaches how successful do you think it will be as far as the empty stadium goes.

How many are expected to show up?

What is curva nord expecting to really happen?

Some strange posts here that I didn't expected. As far as I saw it the members that was pro this protest at least respected the opinions of those who was against. But it doesn't seem to be the like that the other way around. I hope I'm wrong.

Just two things:

roman_eagle: Why do you drag in Liverpool and Manchester United? Or why even the Premier League? It's a totally different league regarding economics, politics, culture and business. Even if they have financial problem: they play in Champions League, they fight for titles and they have hug fan bases all over the world. It's a totally different situation.

Caxi: "Should have made their voices heard over the last 5 years". The protests started slowly already during the second season. Then they just grew and grew when more and more people changed side and joined. During all those years there has been a huge amount of dedicated time to Lotito and the situation in Rome. In the newspapers, on the radios, on the stadium, in the bars, beetween Laziali, in protests and actions.

I find it extremely unfair to accuse the Roman Laziali for such a thing. I would respect it if the argument was based only on the timing of this protest (but not agree). But this is something else.

Other then that, to see my opinion about this protest just see Lucky Strikes's post. Pure and simple.

I'm tired at this sh!t, this season have been frustating both on the pitch and here, at Laziofever. I have been here since Laziomania days and never seen such fighting and disrespect between the members and all this over that idiot Lotito. As soon someone have a different oppinion he is talking trap, he is an idiot, he is not a laziale, he is pro anti lotito.....It's like I'm reading the clones of Centrocampista. Very Happy

Does anybody knows how many tickets have been sold so far for this game or can we assume how many will be at the Olimpico on Saturday? I really hope this action will unite all Laziali so S.S. Lazio can breathe again. Lazio Fiorentina : Strike - Page 4 432490

I was mainly referring to stadium protests Johan; of course, I remember having these discussions way back in the second season, it would be foolish of me to argue otherwise but with regards to actual stadium protests, it appears to me that they have breaking out all season long.

Of course I respect the incentive behind the Curva Nord's actions but I can't say I support it. I can't see the benefits of it.

Obviously I do not understand the Italian culture as well as some, but having seen fan power from here, I have a viewpoint which I cannot change. I remember a situation here with my Irish team, not too dissimilar to, let's say Lazio's home loss to Catania. We didn't change coach, my original reaction was to abandon the side, protest against them and not show any support for the rest of the season but we rallied behind them and they put in magnificent performances from then on.

I can't understand why we can't just support the guys and worry about Lotito at a later date when we are not in trouble.

First, I want to say, that some people here should be more calm.
When I read the posts (the kind of words in them) from William-85 or Nesta_jr, I feel very sad here. THIS can´t be the way we are talking together in this forum!

I´m always on the side what CN is doing. I always support their actions.
But in my opinion, I would wait until Lazio is saved from relegation.

@Conn: can you explain me, why it is so important for la curva to protest in this game? Why they can´t wait until we are saved, and after that - they can protest every game. I think this would be a much better protest (in many games) than in one game.

Honestly, dude, I have always been like this and, for some reason, every time I meet people from the forum, I come along very well with them. Let it be Sile, Mark, Joschi, OJ, Darren, Pieter or many others. Some are even very good friends. Probably I know as many members as do Paolo or Alessio. Funny that it ain't ending in bloody fights all the time, hmm? Especially since I'm so super-arrogant and a smartass. I like to stick with the truth (or my thoughts) and I won't put it into a chocolate cake for you so that it tastes better. That's pretty pseudo. If you prefer that, then it's probably better to ignore my posts.

I think this protest right now is more than just a shame. It only proves the second part of Conn's signature. Especially right now those people should support the team, help them winning the fight against relegation and try their very best to make sure we play Serie A football next season. As somebody else said before, we can protest after we are save and then stay out of the stadium for the damn REST of the season, but not now.

You'r first post here on the matter was "Didn't check the thread for a short time and now I'm forced to read such trap." And you were quoting Conn. I don't know, but to me it seems that you have no respect on other members oppinion and you show that here.

As for the protests, do you really belive that the team will play better cuz they have CN behind them? This players have had CN the whole season and we got a big nada, nothning, from them. It looks like they don't give a bloody damn about fans, as much as Lotito.

Like stated before, it has to do with the upcoming political elections in Rome. And from what I've read here they played a part in getting Lotito to take over so that the club didn't go bankrupt in the first place. So they might be able to make Lotito go "bye bye" too.

Politician helping out the fans = Fans help out the politician by giving votes in election.

Oh, thanx. Now I know why it is so important at this time.

I´m standing behind the team and behind la curva. And if there is the chance to get rid of Lotito, then it´s better to protest now and not at times where protests don´t make sence.

The only thing is, that - is there really a chance to get rid of Lotito?! I don´t know. I´m "far" away - so, forum members from Rom know it better.

Fans plan a strike out of interest in SS Lazio's future.

The Reason: Fans are not happy with how the club is run. The FOOTBALL club we are talking about is...SS Lazio, first club of Rome, a major city on the continent of Europe. Currently fighting against relegation, far below the expectations a club like Lazio should have. The club is run by a president with the name Claudio Lotito, who is not very populare with the fans for many reasons.

The Tool/Influental power = Politicians

And as Conn already stated in "FREE la Lazio" - page 7, which I see relevant to this discussion:

another question: why now, when we are facing relegation and not since the start of the season? and why only one game? If fans want to make their statement they should abandon CN till the end...

Great point. Oh, by the way, Hertha BSC Berlin in Germany is having a tough time to stay in the league and the fans are not protesting to force politicians to do something against the responsible persons of a club who is run miserably since years. This is some kind of black-mailing and that's pretty lousy too!

Assuming I got the meaning of "unfortunate" right, I would say that this is exactly how hypocrites behave.

The most "unfortunate" thing that could happen if you run into me in Rome is that I could buy you a beer and we could talk and perhaps even find some things that we would both agree on.

Coming back to the topic. Basta. I've spent a lot of time in trying to make clear the reasons, the importance and why this moment was chosen. I find it very sad and disrespectful reading people that call it c.rap; people that keep repeating "why now"; people that distort our aims; people that provoke and throw sh*t at the CN fans.

Think whatever you want. Fate come cazzo ve pare.

if I was unfortunate enough to run into you in Rome I would at least offer the hand

Assuming I got the meaning of "unfortunate" right, I would say that this is exactly how hypocrites behave.

The most "unfortunate" thing that could happen if you run into me in Rome is that I could buy you a beer and we could talk and perhaps even find some things that we would both agree on.

And I find it disgraceful that you, an honouary member and a respected laziale in this forum, come in here and expect to be able to take your opinion and shove it down other peoples throats, like you're some dictator.

You need to realise that when you take a discussion into a forum then you risk being confronted by people who do not agree with you. Yes people should not be rude towards you because they disagree, just like you shouldn't be rude towards them if they disagree with you.

I respect you as a Laziale and it's good to see when someone truly believes in a cause and is willing to fight for it, but you are taking it too far now.

Would you be so kind to quote the bits where I "shoved my opinion down other peoples' throats like I am some dictator?"
And now that you are at it, please point also where I "was rude to people who disagree with me".

My only aim in this topic was to explain. I don't need to convince anyone to stay away from the stadium. Especially people who won't be in Rome anyway.
