No. Since I've joined the forum I've found myself having arguments over and over again with the same bunch of people. As lotito would say, it's a "sparuta minoranza" LOL, which I will start to ignore .
Anyway. If you want to know how many people think I lack (I've lacked) respect to foreigners Laziali open a thread and ask that question. Do it. Well, our friend Conn asked me to open a thread to make sure that, in the future, people won't lack respect anymore to other Laziali not living in Rome, like he arguably did, let them be in Bulgaria, Croatia, Sweden, Germany or somwhere like Egypt, Indonesia, China or Australia. Feel free to join this thread to re-unite people here and help Lazio together during this very difficult time. It doesn't matter if somebody is able to attend a game or not, to join a sit-in or not, to buy merchandise or not. Some of us just don't have the money to go that far, even though they really would like to. At this point I would like to remember our friend Mayhar, from Lebanon, who did a lot of sacrificies in order to watch Lazio and fullfil one of his biggest dreams. Let's support our team to make sure that we have a team to support in the future as well!

| I respect what your trying to say Il Capitano and i agree with you. I myself am a Laziali abroad and every second i have available i dedicate to Lazio and everything surrounding Lazio, contributing in my own way, visiting Rome and Lazio as often as i can. But in no way whatsoever have I ever felt any kind of disrespect from Conn because i live outside of Rome/Italy, in fact i've only experienced the exact opposite and he has always treated me and spoken to me as an equal Laziale! And no im not trying to kiss his ass, but since so many in here (not pointing any fingers) insist on painting this picture of Conn "the bad guy" i feel that people should also here about what i have to say about him!
Daje Conn and Daje Il Capitano!!!

Daje Conn and Daje Il Capitano!!! I don't think anybody is trying to paint Conn as "the bad guy" whatsoever and we have to get rid of such assumptions if respect is to be found. I just give an honest opinion at all times and it has caused disagreements with many people in recent months. Over the Pandev issue, I was arguing with many members but with zoran, I was able to put it all aside, via PM, and move on. With the protest issue, same kind of scenario, but with Lucky Strike, same outcome, no hard feelings, sorted through PM. So, these threads are nonsense, they are all instigated by one person, the same person who set up a thread to try and get me to rejoin the forum. It's not necessary; if he actually cared, I would expect a PM. And there is no lack of respect on my side, although many will find that hard to believe, I know for myself that I respect Ale's viewpoint. I don't offend people, I don't refer to anyone as an "arsehole" and then wait for people to agree with me But it doesn't bother me at all, that's honesty and in my book, it's fine. I'm not here to be liked or respected and if people are actually up in arms about that, it's worrying. Nevertheless, we should try, at the very least...

| I think that calling CN selfish could easily be interpreted as disrespectfull, especially for those attending the stadium game after game, year after year... We can all have opinions about CN, but I would never push it as far as calling them selfish, they have done way to much for this club to be labeled like that. I have honestly never found Conn's posts to be degrading to any of us foreigners. | |

| So is this Conn-related thread or Conn-hater thread? Honestly, I've been following Conn's posts since 2005/2006 or so and found myself informed through Conn's post (still have old LF post archives on my laptop). I think this not about because he lives in Rome but because he got the first-hand news, a fresh news before media editing and there's nothing wrong with that. I think some of members on this forum takes the these whole argument personally. | |

| I would not call this a Conn-what-so-ever-Thread... I think it is more about that everyone here is a Lazio Fan and deserves respect, no matter if he attends every single match or never had the chance to support Lazio live! I think every member on LF tries to give all he can and to support Lazio whenever he can. Some have the chance to go to the stadium every week and they deserve our respect for doing so, but others who really would love to go there every week, too, but simply don't have the money or live close enough to rome or whatever, they sit at home in front of a fu*king russian stream trying to identify something on their screen, they deserve the respect just as the visitors in the stadium do!
So for me this is a thread about respect, just as it says! I think it was started just to show that every member tries to contribute to Lazio! So the fans in Rome should respect the opinions of the fans abroad, as well as the fans abroad should respect the opinions of the Rome-based fans.

You opened a thread where you claim that "Conn arguably lacked respect to other Laziali" and than make a series of considerations, which I clearly agree on, to make me look like someone who has been discriminating and offending people ever since. Someone who has never read Laziofever and comes across this thread, will think exactly that. Now, I find the way you put things very unfair. So, if you don't mind, and given the possibility offered by this thread, I'd like to ask all the members the following question, with a straight yes/no reply: have I ever offended you or lacked respect to you, as a foreigner Laziale, in any way?I really would like to read just a yes-no reply. | No offence, Il Capitano, but I think this is a bridge too far. I've never had the feeling that Conn disrespects foreign Laziale. We all have one thing in common: La Lazio. We used to be one, " One symbol, One colour, One flag! ". So this kind of topics are really ridiculous. And, please, don't say " Conn asked me to open a thread " or something, that's even more ridiculous. Just my two cents, ofcourse.
So, Conn, my answer: totally no.

| ....my opinion about this is that we should all respect eachother, But there is no way that foreigners can be at the same level with the fans who r born and live in Rome - especially with someone like Conn...i really don't know this man and haven't talk much with him but from what i've read from him i think that he is true Lazio fan... ...i also think that true fan should know his club and town spirit and go to the stadium almost every mach(of course if he have time...) and do things like "Curva Nord" did.. ...i Don't think that the fans which never went in Rome and watch Lazio at Olimpico(and all games see at internet or tv) can be at the same level with the fans at Olimpico....im not saying that they r not fans - but there is Big difference.... ...every true football fan should start cheering and love the club which is from his own birth town or country....i really can't imagine how someone non-italian can call "football fan" if he doesn't love any other club from his own hometown or country....because i think if you don't love you're own and native club - so how can you love the others ?!? ....im born in Prilep(Macedonia) and my hometown club which i love is FK"Pobeda"...fans from this club r called "majmuni"(monkeys) And there is no way for someone who is not living in Prilep or have been born or have origins from Prilep can call about him that he is "majmun"(monkey) - so i think the same about the Lazio and his true fans... ....i love Lazio but just in International level....in my national level i cheer for Pobeda and if this clubs someday meet i will happy if my home-team win 10-0 over Lazio ...i think the all of foreigners here should be happy to read and talk with true fan lake Conn....and also i really can't understand him - why use much of his time and energy to post here and try to explain to all who r not at the same level with him ? p.s. i don't have intent to offend anyone...im just saying my opinion.... respect! | |

Have to disagree here.I dont follow any local teams here in Belfast, never have, for reasons I care not to share. When I was young I used to follow Liverpool but that was purely because of my father.Of course i've got the Northern Irish team but thats not what you mean right? | To answer the question......NO. Never felt that he disrespected foreign laziali or that he is all that just cuz he lives in Rome. I find it very good that we have some domestic laziali, may it be Conn, Lucky Strike, Jester, Cecco or Ermetico, who can give us, foreign laziali first hand information, so we don't have to read only what Goal, Footbal-Italia or Gazzetta have to say. I will allways have respect for those who goes to Olimpico and follow Lazio all the way from Udine to Catania and never consider those fans as selfish, egocentric etc. Like I have respect for laziali all over the world. I think this is totally wrong thinking, amigo. Not everybody have a football stadium near where he/she lives. I have nothing but Lazio and Bosnian NT, I don't care for other teams and other leagues. Since I have a fobia of flying, I haven't seen Lazio live that much and God damn it, if that don't makes me a "real football fan" so be it. I am not a real football fan, I am a laziale.

| I'm not talkin' to anyone directly...
But if one day I see someone who is disrespecting me as a foreigner laziale, I will kick his ass immediately.
I just can watch less than 10 games of Lazio during the year live, I know that I do not have much information about Lazio history, and what is goin' on around team now...
But after each game, when Lazio win I feel happy and when Lazio don't get result, I feel disappointed..
This is what makes me equal to those fans who live in Rome...

| Yea I've never had a problem with respect either.
Simple fact if the matter is, those who live in Rome and follow things closely are more informed. I read LazioCity and such sites often, and the stuff that Conn says is pretty much backed up by others on those forums/sites. People should be happy we have laziali happy to inform us in clear English on what's happening in Rome.
Conn, Lucky Strike et al. are very valuable to this site as I see it.
and I agree with Secret_Samadhi. Lazio is the only team I love, support, care about, follow. I'll watch football from anywhere but I only care about Lazio. I was born in Australia; it doesn't make a difference. I have a connection to this club that more than makes up for the distance in between Adelaide and Rome.
