apparently yes, and looks like to miss the game. Biava is going to be suspended and Radu will replace him. I don't expect many changes: -------------Muslera--------------- --Dias-----Stendardo----Radu---- -Lich--Ledesma-Brocchi-Kolarov- ---------------Mauri---------------- --------Zarate------Rocchi-------- let's deliver a great performance in Olimpico at last!

| I reckon Siena are the side most likely to catch us in the relegation battle; I might be the only one here who thinks that defense of theirs is alright and with Maccarone in attack, they're good for a goal.
Yesterday was the performance of a solid Top 10 side. With only 6 wins this season, I don't expect to win this game but I'd shake on a draw, there is no way on earth we can afford to lose this one or else all the hard work in the past week goes undone.
It is a great time for Floccari to be injured because Zarate should come back with a bang but I'm desperately keen to see if he is deployed alongside Tommaso and if so, how.
We'll do well to win this one in my opinion but I am optimistic enough after yesterday.

Draws are no good in home games against sides down and around us. It really is a win or bust in my opinion, yes a draw is one more point but when you have Inter, Milan, Genoa, Napoli and the Derby forthcoming, Siena is one game we need to take 3 from. It is NEVER a great time for our top striker to be missing Caxi! Maybe better worded as "luckily Zarate is back to help soften the loss of Floccari"!!! I get what you are saying about re-introducing Zarate but we can't ignore the fact that Sergio has been the only forward who has consistently performed since he's been here, and in a few months outscored all the other players. It is of course going to be a tough game, Siena have undoubtedly improved a hell of a lot and are capable of grinding out results now. We need to continue the form we showed at Cagliari and build on those 3 points, simple as that. It's down to the players, they must finally be in a good frame of mind going into a match and with home support they should take further heart.

| Feels kind of weird to consider Siena as a threat but the times are like that so... Of course they are riding a good momentum, especially the tremendous thriller game against Juve where they were determined not to lose, but that's about it for them. In 29 games they only managed not to concede 5 times (twice against Chievo, then Livorno, Bologna and Napoli). Even Mauri managed to score against them and that should say a lot. It will be a matter of our terrible frontline that managed only 23 goals in 29 matches against their terrible backline that conceded 51!!! goals in 29 matches. So it is actually a terrible situation having Floccari sidelined. When healthy he's our best option, and the only one continuously dangerous. Zarate's abysmal season is not a real reassurance before this match, and if possible I'd stick a tridente Zarate-Rocchi-Foggia in there to pose a threat. The tactic implemented against Cagliari will not work wih Zarate/Cruz (god forbid) in Floccari's place. I'm really hoping for a massive turnout at the Olimpico. As far as I remember tickets for this game were sold at a reduced price along with the Bari match, and although it's a weeknight the win against Cagliari and the renewed hope and optimism could bring some 35-40000 ppl to the stadium to cheer to boys on. - Quote :
- Sono 8.500 i tagliandi venduti ad oggi per la gara Lazio - Siena del 24 marzo. Comprendendo i 27,500 abbonati, ad oggi sarebbero 36.000 i presenti allo scontro salvezza con i toscani.
Says here that already 8.500 ticket were sold thus far, and if the 27,500 season ticket holders show up then half of the stadio is already filled up. Daje Lazio, daje laziali!!! Insieme all vittoria!!!

Seems funny but it isn't, remember that he knows all our players very well, and his advice can really give us a hard time. Biava is suspended, but Radu is back. I'm feeling more confident knowing that Stefan is here to help out, even though the season is a disaster he really improved.

| Fact - This is a home game and we must take the 3 points. A draw doesn't help us at all as others have pointed out. We have a very difficult up coming schedule where draws might be our only hope, so we need to take the 3 especially since it's at home.
Siena can be scored upon. They give up a ton of goals to solid attacking teams and we have a solid attacking team when they show up. Question is...will they show up? Sure, losing Flo hurts, but we can still score. However, we have to make the most of our chances and play disciplined football. Our defense is far from good, so we really have to play mistake free football when Siena decides to attack. Excluding there 3-3 draw with Juventus 2 weeks ago and a random shootout w/ Inter in January, they rarely put up more than 1 goal (maybe 2 like against Livorno). So, assuming our defense can be disciplined and contain the lack luster offense of Siena, we should be able to hold them to zero or 1 goal. If we hold them to that, we SHOULD / HAVE TO win.

Yeah, Rocchi goes left and Cribari knows he's going left but Rocchi knows Cribari knows he's going left so he fakes the move and tries going right but Cribari knows that Rocchi knows that he knows he'll be going left so he goes right and at that precise time Rocchi fakes a move with his shoulder and switches his body weight but Cribari remembers that move from training and he stops and goes to block with his body but Rocchi knows that Cribari knows this move and this was actually a diversion to throw him off balance but you can't fool old Snachez with this cheap trick and he quickly shifts his weight on the back foot and in fact this whole exercise ends in a stalemate. The only thing is the ball was with Zarate the whole time who goes by 3 defenders and scores a monster goal. The end.

| I think you worry too much about Cribari. Cribari must only play as he knows, as he did in the last seasons with Lazio, and we will be fine Jokes apart, I think it's a very difficult match (tougher than what it seems) and the approach will be crucial. A victory would be excellent, but on the other hand a defeat (against a direct opponent) would throw us into hell. The way to "salvezza" is long. So this is a match we must not lose, firstly. And must try to win, secondly. The tickets sale is going well and apparently Curva Nord is trying to react after the lowest reached against Bari. Rise up again, together, with the team on the pitch. | |

The only thing is the ball was with Zarate the whole time who goes by 3 defenders and scores a monster goal. The end. Haha, what I mean is that both parties knows each others strenghts and weaknesses. Nevermind, we shouldn't think so much about Cribari.
