The Unforgettable Season (1999-2000)

Before I will start, I would like to thanks the guys who did post those great videos in youtube.

And I think it a special topic for us, one of the greatest ever seaons for Lazio since its birth in 1900, it worths to have a special topic for it

We had a great team, extraordinary coach and brilliant Presidente, those videos means alot for me as it was my 1st love and passion to a team that I think Serie A will never have it back again or even Lazio unfortunately.

I was wondering if Ballotta was any good in these days even though he will probably have not played that many games. Does anyone know? I mean he does have flashes of brilliance evn now but the errors overshadow them a lot of the time. Thanks for this, it was before my time as a Laziale I'm sad to say.

The 1st game I saw Ballotta as a GK was against Valencia in the CL in which we lost 5-2! I still remeber that we got 3 goals in within the 1st 10 or 15 minutes of the game and the defense looked horrible without Sandro and a good keeper like Marchegiani! after that game I lost my faith in him until now.

Ironically C. Lopez scored 2 goals against him once he was with Valenica and after few couble of months he scored another 2 goals in the Italian Supercup on the same way but at that time Lopez was with us while Ballota was playing for Inter

But to be honest, I still call that he did well against the 2 Scudetto important games: Juve and Rioma
