I agree, it's pointless.

I think you forgot something, what Di Canio did is kind of political gesture and totti just fun or mocking gesture without political intention.

I keep hearing that argument from Riomanisti but it's rubbish. What Totti did was not worthy of a fine although there is a small argument that he should have recognised that his behaviour could cause such scenes.

With Di Canio (and Zarate, lest we not forget) they did something which could be interpreted as a political gesture and for that reason, the authorities should take a stance. At the same time, I don't think that's an easy decision to make, to decipher the intentions and the level of intent. That 'political gesture' goes unpunished in the stands every week. It's not every week Totti stands in front of an emotional Olimpico and stirs smelling as.

Now, I agree, he has a right to do it and probably shouldn't go unpunished...but there is definitely another side to the whole argument.

I wasn't talking about Di Canios Saluto romano, but this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilc1S8Os3zQ

I don't see that salute there, all he does is the usual mocking of the other teams fans. I don't know about you guys, but I think it's part of the game in these matches.

can honestly say I never felt this depressed after a derby loss.

don't even have any words for it.

I felt, and still do feel, exactly the same mate.

Its the worst football match result for me ever.

The one that hurts the most and will for a long time to come. The one which could and should have changed our season around, and ruined those unbelievably lucky and fortunate wankers league hopes.

I don't want to think about merda and tottina and their ugly fans anymore. Fuck them. Its hard moving on but we have to. And there is still hope, and I'm looking to that for inspiration.

Like Conn said, there are Lecce and Liverpool to fondly remind us of past success.

No matter what we will remain proud to be Laziali wherever or however we play!

FORZA S.S. LAZIO 1900!!!!!

roma are cheating b*stards. They did this with Inter near the end. The slowed play by diving here and there. People around the world talk about how they play good football, attractive etc but Lazio have been playing more attractive football than them. Why dont these stupid people talk about how MERDA roma dive when they are ahead.

Totti needs to get banned and fined. Our fans are furious with roma and totti has caused some riots outside the stadium. To hell with totti and his smelling as cheating squaD.

I've felt exactly the same way for so, so, so, so, so many seasons now. Its such fucking bias.

Sadly a large majority of the football world loves totti and see him as a great athlete and sportsman which is so hard to believe. Nearly all my football mates say he's a 'classy' and 'gifted' player. Fuck that. I honestly cannot believe that - although he is gifted in diving and acting like the biggest cunt in the world. I've heard so many times that he will go down in history as one of Italy's greatest footballers. The world is always against Lazio and are oblivious to merda's non-existent football conduct and culture. And whenever there is fan trouble around the match, Lazio fans are the ones made scapegoats. tottimerda is never given trap from the media.

I remember in the 3-0 derby win in 2006 how he gave up on the ball by the corner, pushed capitano Zauri to the ground and literally started kicking him in the back. For a few seconds. Live on ESPN. For the whole world to see. Yet un-fucking-believably he did not get sh*t for it. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. No red card, no fine, no ban, no media talk about his unsportsmanlike behaviour. The ref just calmed him down.

Fuck ass roma and tottina. I hate that club and him so much that words aren't enough.

There is a huge difference between Di Canio's celebrations and totti's thumbs down. Di Canio had just scored, his adrenaline was over the top and beside that, he had been mocked continuously by asroma fans during that week and that evening too, since he stepped onto the pitch. Despite what people said, Di Canio did not "violate" roma fans territory, this time he did not celebrate below the curva. He stayed on the pitch.
His action was a reply to a provocation, nothing more.

Totti repeated a gesture that had already made Lazio fans upset after the previous derby and he knew that. It was at the end of the match and certainly he was not filled with adrenaline. It was a reiteration of a provocation and there was no need for that, especially in consideration of the huge tension characterizing this derby.

Said this, I believe totti should not have been punished. It's acceptable that such things happen on a football stadium. You can even expect them when you have to deal with idiots, such as totti.

Couldn't agree more Conn. Summed up what I was trying to say earlier, only better.

Totti had a right to do what he did given the nature of the Derby but as the long-standing captain of Merda, he should of knew the repercussions that his gesture could have on the whole event. It's an incident that has two potential viewpoints and the IFA made theirs clear.

he can do whatever he wants,i dont care of him,he s the loser of derby(like mauro said 10 years didnt score in derby).
i was sad when he left the field(when ranieri replace him),he was their worstles player and every ball goes through him,he was our best player in first half,i wish him more derbys (with 90 min on field).
they took the win when he leave the field,he knows that, and he needed to do something to forget that, playing the role of imbecil(he s best position) and provocate he wanted to become their hero(just watch he s face after vucinic goes out,he was pissed, somebody else is better than him,where?-in rioma shirt-how can he live with that?
i m very glad that he will play in last four games, this is my personal adut that they will made a mistakes,he s selfish-he will blow somewhere.

i m very proud for our nonitalian players like radu, lichty, dias, nando, ledesma(he stil have blue blood),zarate(after the game i belive that also reja understod that he was last man in the planet who leave this guy out of first eleven).
rochhi-no comment,el capitano deserves to finish he s carier here,
zarate-he create such a space and play for the team.....grande mauro

one of the bigest mistake of reja was when he subs lichty....realy i cant understand this(same as why he didnt put mauro from the begging-or from the begging of second half).

i hope that inter will not make any mistake, and i hope that they will lose one game,
i dont care if we spend a year in serie-b,i just dont want to see that they winn the scudeto
