| I wish people would shut up about safety If Atalanta beat Bologna next weekend, they are one win away from relegating us. Livorno and Udinese (our two final opponents) just spanked other sides around us. So, if we don't beat Inter, we could be looking at this: Lazio 40 pointsBologna 39 pointsAtalanta 37 pointsBologna then have an easy tie at home to Catania who should be safe. We have a tough trip to a Livorno side who no longer feel the pressure (it is not necessarily an advantage that they are down) and Atalanta are more than capable of springing a surprise against a floundering Napoli side. So, it is still fairly likely, in my eyes that we could be going down to the last day. So, while I would say enjoy the win, please be cautious with words such as "we are virtually safe." We're not. Away to Livorno is tougher than away to Genoa in my eyes... 41 points should see everyone safe. 44 points is what is needed to be guaranteed I think. | |

Except Livorno has nothing to play for. Their fans might care about the rivalry with Lazio but I doubt many of the players do. Udinese will almost certainly have nothing to play for too, when they come to visit in the last round. And we all know what happens in Serie A when one team has nothing to play for. Last but not least, Atlanta has to visit Naples and host Palermo. Both have European place to play for. There is also Bologna and Catania whom we can potentially leapfrog, Bologna actually play Atalanta and Catania, so all of them can't take maximum points in this game. We only need to be ahead of one of the three. I am not saying we are safe but it will take an enormous screw-up to get relegated.

Bari game? Sampdoria game? Fuck Inter. Fuck riomma. All I care is we get safe as soon as possible. Right now Samp is selling the game to merda, so we shouldn't endanger ourselves while other teams give merda a hand in their title race. Inter had their 12 point lead and they blew it. Fuck them straight to hell for it.

And of course, the sooner we can breathe a sigh of relief concerning the relegation struggle, the better.

I am not saying we are safe but it will take an enormous screw-up to get relegated. Palermo and Napoli will be crapping themselves with Juve. Seriously, I am going to go on record and say I expect Atalanta to hit 40 points.

And of course, the sooner we can breathe a sigh of relief concerning the relegation struggle, the better. I didn't misunderstand you, I know what you're saying, but we simply can not rely on anyone else doing us any favors or count on points against Livorno and Udinese as if they are given. They are not. We wasted leads against teams, we lost already won games, we counted points before the games even started and look where it got us. And still people would like to see us lose if it meant Inter go ahead of merda. I'm not saying you are, but that stance is seriously fucked up. We would have to put in a 200% performance to get anything from Inter, and I say go for 300%. By the look of it merda will win against Samp who is playing at 70% tonight. I mean it's a real sh1t game. Someone should tell Storari not to try because he looks like an idiot next to his anemic defense. So if we play Inter on Sunday night the only possible reason to not want Lazio to win or draw is news that Bologna beat Atalanta and that hlaf of Atalanta squad is either suspended or injured for the next game. Then and only then maybe.

| Great win today. Floccari overcame his missed spot kick and scored a sweet goal. The defense was good, not special, but reliable and solid and got the job done. Muslera made 1 or 2 good saves but maybe on Palacio's goal could have done better? Thanks to Bocchetti for getting himself a red card too. | |

I am not saying we are safe but it will take an enormous screw-up to get relegated. I completely agree Matrim. We are not matematically safe, but with today's victory we are virtually safe. Atalanta has the worst (by far) calendar and I doubt they will be able to win against Bologna next sunday, with the redblue being + 5 and preparing the match for 2 results.

| Yeah folks.. we are almost there. I must admit that i didnt expect for us to remain in serie a and we also must admit that despite the derby, Reja saved us pretty much (last 7 games we lost only with merda..if i`m not wrong). We might also end around 12th place. We should beat Udinese and Livorno has nothing to play for.. As in the Inter match, i think we can relax now. Though it seems that everyone is talking about either Lazio will give this match or not.. but no one is speaking about the fact that Inter is Inter (they are almost in UCL final) so they could beat us without any problems. Last sunday it was so unfair.. today justice has been made. Some fingers Totti ? | |

| Great game. The whole team was very strong. Also a good game by Baronio. Heīs good as a back up, but nothing more. Dias is a rock in our defence, Floccari a great bomber. Reja shows passion. What a walk over the pitch!!! Also Zarate did a good game when he came in. He was very good by holding the ball and made some dangerous runs. But the player who is always on fire, who shows most passion, is Lichtsteiner. This guy bleeds Lazio! Love him!!! @Caxi: donīt see it so tight. Atalanta must win all matches and we must loose all matches. I think that we took a big step to the save! Itīs clear that we are not 100% save now, but Livorno is not good, and on the last day, we are playing against Udinese at home. They have nothing to fight for. AND FORZA PAZZINI!!!!! Great guy. I always wanted to see him in our jersey. But after this massive season, we donīt have a chance to get him. | |

| Just an interesting point, Genoa is the only team so far we have beaten twice this season and in both games Bocchetti got sent off in the second half... funny how things go...
Just a couple of stats too - In the 12 games since Reja arrived we have won more games than in the 23 before (5 to 4) and scored the same number of goals (17).
Overall we have the worst home record in the league but the 5th best away record, taking only 5 points less than Inter in actual fact.

| My dream scenario for this weekend was us winning this game, and merda losing to Samp, and Inter beating Atalanta. Funny enough, all these games started in the worse way possible, but turned out amazingly good. Nice to see that some things can turn out the way I like it as well In any case, a great effort after the derby loss, and now we are in a good situation regarding survivinhg plus seeing merda miss the scudetto | |
