How do you mean, Zoran? A team that wins la Coppa, that plays the Champions League-final after a very long & difficult "road to the final" and that's finishing first with 82 points after 38 games, deserves to be the champion, no? ok maybe deserves but im saying that i don't like how was playing.. - very defensive and just for result.. maybe the only good game they played as champion was against Chelsea in London.. Keep in mind that a season lasts 12 months and over 12 months they were the best team overall in my opinion. They should have closed it long time ago though, but overall I don't blame them for focusing so much on the champions league that they forgot about the league. Honestly, if Moratti could choose between winning the Champions league and the italian league he would choose the first option, it's the only thing he's missing.

Source??? Its not like I don't believe you but I just wanna read the whole thing through. They announced it in a Press meeting. Other managerial news is that FIGC has contacted Fiorentina to allow negotiations with Prandelli to become manager of the Italian National Team after World Cup. Fiorentina accepted. Up to Prandelli and FIGC to come up with a deal. Great news to be honest.

| Prandelli would be an excellent choice. He has done very well with Fiorentina, even if this season ended on a sour note for them. Though, it was a season of what could have been, they were hugely unfortunate in the CL. Gasperini in line for the Fiorentina job if this goes through, and the merry go round keeps on going. | |

| Guidolin confirmed at Udinese while Allegri moves closer to Milan. Both would be interesting moves; I reckon Allegri is the right man for the Rossoneri but I think it is only a matter of time before Udinese get relegated. I'll be watching closely to see what Guidolin can muster.
Parma, Cagliari, Samp and maybe Fiorentina on the coaching prowl. Ballardini a possibility for the first two? I would be inclined to think so. Could also see Fiorentina maybe take a risk on Pierpaolo Bisoli should Prandelli leave and that would leave Cesena open for Davide. Malesani to Parma a possibility?
It is ridiculous... | |

| Obviously, there's nothing left for him here. He now wants another challenge, a La Liga title, maybe some day he'll be a Portuguese NT coach, the guy has incredible ambition and drive. And he's only 47. Like him or not, the nickname "Special One" really fits. | |

| And the roundabout continues:
Sampdoria: Di Carlo about to take over, Mihajlovic also spoken to and two secret candidates. Parma: Marino about to sign; direct coaching swap between them and Udinese. Cagliari: Still nothing. Chievo: Job about to become available it seems. Fiorentina: Prandelli-Italy talks sped up. Inter: Miahjlovic favourite to take over from Mourinho with Capello, Hiddink and Benitez also linked.

Parma & Marino is going to be hit or miss if that occurs. Will be very interesting to see and if I remember right, Gio really rates Pasquale. Love to know what he thinks.

Yeah I do really like Marino, not sure if Parma are the right outfit for him though. I think he could do well at a bigger club like Samp for instance.

| Miha as Inter coach? Oh wow I did not see that one coming. They will be taking a huge chance if they actually make him coach. I think it would be wiser of him to start in a club like Lazio which is less profiled in the media. | |

| I doubt Moratti would go for Mihajlovic in the end. The guy is too unexperienced to lead Inter, specially considering the season they just had,. However, I think Mihajlovic has shown he knows how to coach a team and in the future he will be a star! We should have tried toget him to Lazio, but I guess that is not realy an option this summer.

| Soo Lecce and Cesena are the new teams in Serie A. I'm happy that both of these teams won promotion because Lecce deserve to play with the big guns and Cesena are a team which I want to see in play with the big guns. The third promotion will be decided between Torino, Sassuolo, Cittadella and Brescia. - Quote :
- Serie B: Play-Off schedule
Sunday 30 May, 2010 The dates and times for the Serie B play-offs, including Torino-Sassuolo and Cittadella-Brescia, have been drawn up.
Today the final round of the season saw Lecce and Cesena gain automatic promotion into Serie A.
The next four teams must face each other in two-legged play-offs for the one remaining promotion spot.
There will also be relegation play-outs between Padova and Triestina to see who joins Gallipoli, Salernitana and Mantova in Lega Pro.
All kick-offs listed below are UK time.
Promotion Play-Offs Semi-Finals, 1st leg Wednesday June 2 Torino-Sassuolo (17.30) Cittadella-Brescia (20.00)
2nd leg Brescia-Cittadella (17.30) Sassuolo-Torino (20.00)
Final, 1st leg Wednesday June 9 (19.45) 2nd leg Sunday June 13 (19.45)
Relegation Play-Outs 1st leg, Friday June 4 Padova-Triestina (19.45)
2nd leg, Saturday June 12 Triestina-Padova (19.45)

| Good post martinese, I agree with you about the two teams that have come up - Lecce are a real yo-yo team but have definitely proved they are too good for B (but will they be good enough for A?!). Cesena haven't been in A since 1990 but have just gone from Liga Pro to B to A in two seasons, great achievement by any standards. It will be interesting to see if they can mix it at the highest level now. I recognise a few of their players like Do Prado, Bucchi, Colucci and Franceschini.
I'd personally like Brescia or Sassulo to win the play-offs, Torino may be an historic Serie A mainstay but I'm fed up with them disappointing every time they return.

| Good to see Lecce back, reasonably big for a southern club and will have a great derby with Bari.
Cesena is a return to the old school. Will be interesting to see if Schelotto makes the much expected move to a bigger club or will he stay at Cesena now that they have actually gone up. Massive wraps on this kid. I've seen him play and he could really be one of the best of this generation in Italy. Serie A is the ultimate test though.
Hopefully now Brescia or Torino come up, preferably Brescia. The other 2 aren't even big enough to play serie B, let alone A.

| Good to see Lecce back. Will be interesting watching Cesena play in Serie A as well (since I've never seen them).
As for the final promotion spot I'd like Brescia to get it purely because they have a good squad. But it would be special for a smaller team like Cittadella or Sassuolo to gain it as well.

| I'd love to see Brescia return, after all they are a club with tradition in the past, players like Hubner, Baggio, Hagi. Still in all likelyhood I think it will be Torino and thats for the best as I agree Cittadella and Sassuolo simply are not big enough for this league. | |
