| Fabio Cannavaro has joined Al-Ahli in Dubai.
Incredible. He had other offers from Italian clubs but chose Dubai.

Incredible. He had other offers from Italian clubs but chose Dubai. The fact he is on a plane to South Africa is a joke to me and his choice to go to Dubai? Tell me how motivated does that make him going into a major international tournament... Would have gained so much more respect if he just came out a while ago, said he couldn't hack it competitively and would like a challenge. That would have been good PR but he probably have lost his seat to South Africa. Just horrible.

Just horrible. He has been a joke for about 2-3 years now but this just tops it. Doubt he has much motivation either. No matter how good he was in the past, he is currently not good enough for both Juve and Italy and should never have been called up for the World Cup.

| Sinisa Mihajlovic is almost Fiorentina coach. I am a bit surprised he left Catania after such a successful run but the lure of the bigger team is always too much, especially for someone who obviously has high ambitions. He has arrived in Florence at a real low point for them, no Europe for the first time in a few years and a team that needs revamping. It will be quite a test for him as real success will only be achieved in the eyes of the fans by a return to the Champions League.
Best of luck Miha... | |

Best of luck Miha... IMHO, Miha reached a similar number of points with Catania just like Viola. The Both of them remained in the similar standings. I am sure Mihajlovic would have done a better job. (Nothing against Cesare) Imho I am happy for Mihajlovic to coach Viola and not Inter. The reality is that Inter will decline after Mourino's departure. The only question remains how eager Moratti will be to fire the new Coach after CL exit. My 0.02c

Both pretend they would like to help their NT teams, but in fact I think they want to bring their price up and get picked up by nice club. Do you agree?

| A lot of the players that Lippi called for the WC aren't good enough for the italian NT but does Lippi care what the other think ? NO! Thats why he calls a bunch of Juve players which were in a terrible form this season ... | |

| Brescia v Torino in Serie B play-off.
Brescia lost 1-0 to Cittadella but went through 1-1 due to higher standing in the league, and Torino won 2-1 against Sassuolo for a 3-2 win. Both Serie A regular yo-yo clubs of the last decade, I would still hope Brescia come through the final.

| I'd be hoping for Brescia just because Torino have been hopelessly yo-yo in recent seasons and don't deserve another crack at the whip. That simple. | |

Me too. Plus they consistently develop good young players.

When is the last time Toro actually won one of those derbies though? Hoping Brescia come back.

| Benitez' biggest problem is changing the tactic which I assume he will feel is necessary. I do expect to see an Eto'o-Torres frontline but we will have to wait and see.
I believe the only team that can catch Inter next year is AC and that will depend on so many factors.

I wonder who will get his "Fact" backlash in Serie A... Tinkerman maybe... No, it is you! Fact: He has got a better squad then the one he inherited at Liverpool when he won the Champions League. Fact: Internazionale are by miles the best team in Serie A. Fact: Moratti and Branca controls the transfers. I do not think he will be a disaster. He will do alright. Looks like Mascherano is the first on the list to come to Internazionale. He does not need to improve the squad too much. Internazionale are class on all sections of the squad. Goalkeeper, defence, midfield and attack. He also plays the same formation 4231 as Internazionale did last season so I think it will be continuity there. He really can not go wrong domestically with the squad at his disposal although Europe could be a different stroy.

| As much as he likes 4-2-3-1, I think he may alter it. Possibly 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-2-1. It's going to be fascinating, really excited about it all. | |

I believe the only team that can catch Inter next year is AC and that will depend on so many factors. I think Juve can play a role. Krasic, if signed, would represent a good start for their mercato and without the distraction of the Champions League the Scudetto would be their priority. Milan need a lot of work especially at the back, and they require Pato and Nesta to stay fit for the season. But as shown last season they are still more than capable of going on a run and winning in any environment. Its simply a question of maintaining that momentum and more squad depth would help.

I agree about Juve but have worries about Del Neri. Not that I think he's a bad coach but rather that him and Juve could be a bad match and expecting them to step up so much in one season is too much for me. However, their mercato looks like it might be cracking.

| Benitez will not be a positive change in my opinion, as I dont fancy his style of football nor his personality (the parts we get to see through media of course) but probably Inter are just too strong to lose the title in any case. I never saw the greatness of Rafa, and I think the title race will be a more open one this year. The only thiong Rafa is really good at is coming 2nd, and all I hope is that merda will not be the team to take advantage... | |

Birmingham are very close to signing Miccoli for 4.5 million pounds. WTF!!??

| Miccoli in England ? Oh please let this be a joke ... I love this guy and I really hope he stays in Serie A. It's sad to see a great player like Quaresma not playing in a team from the top 5 leagues. I hoped that he would go back to Porto but It looks like he wants Besiktas' money ... | |
