Here it goes.... I arrived in Rome at noon on Saturday after a sleepless Friday night (cant sleep when I travel) but to my surprise I was as lively as ever! Checked into my hotel then straight to via Calderini where I was very happy to find Distinti tickets left! I paid 7EURO for Distinti nord est. Thats just fu*king great!!! 7 EURO!!! So I fart about, relax, get some food down my neck and a load of coffee (I love coffee)! Bumped into Classo at termini, had a quick chat and planned to meet after the match(Classo, Paolo and Drake were to be in Monte Mario) but Drake, the only person with my number left his phone at home. Should have given my number to Classo earlier. And it turns out Drake was in Tribuna. So off to the match, im wating outside 5 minutes before the gates opened. Perfect timing or what! but once inside I find myself gettin searched twice within two minutes. Arseholes!!! The match was great, really great! The atmosphere was fantastic as always! Twas a great evening!
Pictures....
The youngsters having a penalty shootout.
A great flag!
On Sunday I searched for a bar showing the Inter match with no luck at all. Managed to catch the last 15 minutes of it. The bar happened to be full of merda. They didnt stay too long! SCUDETTO GAME OVER
Wasnt too many happy faces after that! Spent the evening drinking with a scotsman and a roman Laziali. Twas a another fine evening. Except one thing... I lost my phone. and a little memory.
On monday at noon I bumped into Classo again who informs me that there is flight disruptions back in the UK. I checked it out, my flight was still on! Turns out though that most flights to and from Ireland were cancelled for most of monday. Seems I got lucky! Later I meet with Paolo and Classo for a while before parting. Always a pleasure gents! Look forward to next time!
And thats that. Season over. Couldnt have ended better!!!

Okay my trip,
When arrived Saterdaymorning in Rome i was very happy no delay's with my plane good weather, so went straight to my "hotel" to check in but then the sh#t started!!!When i said my name in english they didn't understand me,so i tried italian (il mio nome è ,ho fatto una resarvation)but not even that they get !!hey where chinese!!Finale they found someone who could speak english, then tey said that they could't find my resevation and they had no rooms left!so they sended me to another hotel.when that was sorted out i discoverd i had left my phone at home :oops:so i could't contact anyone anymore. After the hotel was arranged i went to the Lazio store i bought myself my ticket for tevere and went back in to townfor some food and drinks. I arrived just in time for the game!what a game and what goals of Floccari and Hitzelsperger!! Sunday went a pub close to the piazza novana and watched Inter-Siena on one screen and Merde-Chievo.I was so happy when Inter scored as one of the onlu one's that jumped up Monday i jusct checked out went for a bit and back to the airport!
I got no pics because i usually take pics with my phone.
Iam really disapionted that i didn't meet Paolo,William an classo all because i left my stupid phone!ah well will meet next time

Here's a small video just before kick-off. Check out the flares! Great stuff!!!
And another just after full time. The players(not all of them) throwing their shirts into Curva. They sang and jumped with the rest of us. Grande Lazio!!!

Why did they booed Siviglia, Scaloni, Baronio and Hitzlsberger in the first video with the line up?

Maybe someone with a bit more insight could actually inform us? I understand that they are all below standard players, but getting booed like that must have some other, deeper, reason? Siviglia for having played for merda? Scaloni for saying earlier that he preferred to leave Lazio? Baronio for being Baronio and Hitz for just being shite?

I understand Siviglia i think he clashed with the fans in a Coppa game last year... I think Baronio didn't played that shite that he gets booed in the last game...

I don't think Baronio is going to be shown the door cause he is the only replacement for Ledesma, plus I don't think he played that bad in all the games he took part in (remember he played only under balla and then everyone played shite)

Including Baronio, and it makes me wonder what people thin about Lazio when they actually try to argiue that Bronio was good!!?!?!?!?! Come on. He was never good enough to be a Lazio starter, let alone his last season. If Lotito is to follow his previous way of treating older players, we will be stuck with ánother useless brick for 10 more years or so.

Mauri was good, and showed a very high quality at times, and ended this season with afew good games too. Apart from that,Mauri must be very determned during trainings since every coach has chosen to play him. Baronio was never good. He was never chosen by any coach, and he never showed a top quality that could make you wonder why he isnt a starter (and being a talent doesnt necessarily mean that you are useful or good when it is time to play the game for real. There you have the difference. With Baronio on the pitch we would have been relegated. With or without Mauri.

baronio was never chosen cause we have Ledesma in his position. now who do we have in Mauri's position? No one. That is why he plays

Well, there have been times when Mauri has not been played so options have been out there. But in any case, Mauri has been decisive and fundamental for Lazio at times, while Baronio had his only chance to play when there were absolutely no other options around. What you are saying doesnt make sense to me in this case.

when Mauri plays we have an attacking midfielder, when he doesn't - we don't. And how do you know Baronio wasn't decisive? He's a defensive midfielder - if you watch football you should know they don't shine, while attacking midfielders do.

Look at our stats, and the level of our game, with and without Baronio.

I've wanted to wade in on this discussion for sometime. If truth be told, Ledesma has been a revelation under Reja. Under Rossi, he went from being a creative centre-midfielder to a defensive midfielder who broke up play and initiated counters. Under Reja, he has the freedom to venture up the pitch as long as he maintains his discipline. He has been exceptional for us in both roles but the reason why he is deployed differently depends on his midfield partner. Alongside Brocchi, he can push forward and playmake; alongside Matuzalem, he tends to do the dirty work.
Ledesma is that good. Baronio is not; but he does have a brain, an eye for a pass and grinta. He could be playing for Inter and not look at sea but the team would have to fit around him. This team is not built around Baronio; it is built around Ledesma.
Which is why (a) Ledesma must start and (b) Baronio should be kept as back-up.

Spectacular conclusion you've got there, Caxi!
I can only agree with you about Ledesma and his development. And only with Cash regarding Baronio. He's neither a regista nor a defensive midfielder. Rather something in beetween, that is not good enough for Lazio and most other Serie A-clubs. That's why only Serie B-clubs wanted him and no manager gave him a chance in Lazio.
Mauri is another case, I think, because he was maybe the most important player when we qualified for Champions League. It's always easier to field a player like that.

Baronio played under Balla and with no fear of relegation what so ever. Ledesma played under Reja with relegation knocking on our door. Difference?
