| Does anybody know if what Lazio recieves income from apart from ticket sales and tv revenue?
Would building a new stadium increase revenue from other areas? Or would it just be for pride?

Apart from the tv's money and the tickets, Lazio has in the commercial sponsors (assuming that lotito agrees that 3 million is better than nothing... contrarily to what has happened this year) another source of income. Another one is the merchandising sale. But the main one is, by far, the tvs. A new stadium would do well to Lazio, from a financial/economic point of view, for two reasons: 1) Lazio would have an additional source of revenue in the bar/restaurants built in the stadium, and hopefully the merchandise sales will have a boost. 2) Lazio's patrimony would become sound, giving more financial solidity to the company. The only problem between Lazio and the new stadium is lotito... he does not want to build just a stadium (that is, what Lazio needs), but the stadium AND a city around it... the Rome's city council will never allow it.

| Conn is right. Lotito can't keep things simple. A new stadium would be great and is much needed. Not just because of money, but also because we wouldn't have to share it with Rioma, Olimpico is old AND it would be smaller and more intimate. Anyhow, not going to happen. | |

| Having our own stadium would be great. Most teams in Europe own the stadiums they play at. This of course would help the club benefit financially and the name sounds pretty cool . The former mayer of Rome Veltroni was all against Lotito building a new stadium but I remember reading sth that the new mayor would be willing to allow Lotito to build a new stadium. Is there any truth in that? Here's another pic: | |

It is not true that Veltroni was against lotito building a new stadium. In fact, he waited for lotito to come up with a proposal about a suitable location where to build the stadium, but lotito never moved from his will to build the stadium AND the surrounding city in his lands near the Tiberina road. He even offered to Lazio the tenancy of Flaminio stadium for 99 years! It would have been perfect. Alemanno (the new major) won't allow any speculation either. lotito will be supported if he decides to build a stadium, but not if he keeps insisting to bring on his speculative plans, along with his companion Mezzamerda (a wellknown builder in rome).

The big problem is Lotito, As long as he is here, we will never see a full capacity crowd. We need him out and let someone else takeover, build new stadium etc

| WHY NOT BUILD THE STADIO DELLE AQUILE ON THE SITE OF THE CURRENT STADIO FLAMINIO??
Ive had this idea for a long time, since i first heard about Lotito's plan to move to valmontone, which is more of a joke in itself than anything else he has ever done.
Flaminio is in Roma, we have history there because of course the club has played there before and the existing structure needs to only be improved to increase capacity to around 50 or 60,000 and make it more world class.

MOVE TO FLAMINIO It would be a pain in the ass if you only wanted to slightly restructure the Flaminio stadium (which has history too), go figure if they would allow someone to rebuild the stadium! (you need to rebuild it to reach 50,000 capacity) Point two. The problem is not the lack of space to build a stadium. In Rome there are plenty. Lotito wants to build a city anyway, and the Flaminio area is to small anyway for this (that's why he rejected the offer to rent Flaminio for 99 years)

With our sponsors PUMA, i remember hearing that they were willing to build a new stadium for us as we have had long term business relationship with them. Either way, if the council is willing for roma to build a new stadium and name it after Sensi, then what about us? roma will be making a lot of profit as it will be owned by them and not the council. Time each team owned their own stadiums,. It is the way forward.

| Wow... it's so obvious that the council of Rome supporting merda over Lazio a big time... I understand that they're consoling Riomma after their big lost of their big leader.. but it was us who had the idea of building a new stadium first, and now out of nowhere they're going to support riomma for building it before us. | |
