We "could" build a new stadium if the city council "would" approve of the plans and so far we are "considering" a few places in and around the city that "could" be used as a "potential" ground for a new stadium. it better than nothing though... a "dream", "could", "would", "potential" and all the similar words are a start to something.... without them it will be nothing... and the new club-owned stadiums are not only needed for the club itself, but also for the cities, the country and the football in italy as a whole... well, Italy also need new stadiums if they want to be the host of a big football events like WC or Euro...so there will be many supports from everywhere to push every club in italy to build their own stadiums.. as a club that located in the capital city of italy, Lazio should be one of the clubs that given more support (such as money loan, permits and sponsors) than the other clubs in small cities... So Lotito won't be so hard to find a way to build the aquile stadium... well maybe Lotito is also not the one that should be given more credit if our own stadium is built.... we can also give the credit to the recent downfall of the italian league as the best league in europe or give the credit to Premier League which giving the example how to profitably manage football clubs ..

ummm.... I "would" agree with you if the name of the man talking about the project didn't sound pretty much like "claudio lotito"... P.S. LOTITO VATTENE :)

Zentralstadion in Leipzig (GER) but I prefer as it is planned http://www.stadiodelleaquile.com/it/stadio-delle-aquile.htmlnot the boring 2 tiers around the ground you see everywhere, but this design has some character by it's edgy design and glass roof structure and maybe the new Curva Nord should be the stand along the field (like Tevere now) for the good odd 20.000 hardcore, so all way along the pitch the team will be supported and leave the stands behind the goals for the 'softer' fans, anyway the 20.000 couldn't fit behind the goal and in a sh*tcorner somewhere 500 seats for the visitors bring it on !

| It is an incerdible design. Could you imagine the money we would make from tourists alone to see this stadium?
Anyone know if we get the permission and the site that this will definately be the design?

| Yes, the stadium I presented is the Zentralstadion in Leipzig. It is not that expensive to build and the best thing is, that almost every seat gives you a great view of the pitch and you feel quite close to the players. I was lucky enough to attend Argentina-Mexico during the 2006 WC and it felt like there were 100.000 people in the stadium. I also think we don't need a retrectable roof, why is that? In a city like Rome, where the weather is mostly fine, I think we could do without it.
Regarding the idea of having 20.000 hardcore fans on the side I guess that's unrealistic and not smart as well. 20.000 wouldn't fit if the stadium was only built for 40.000 and having them behind the goal is better for the players as they can play towards their fans.

| It is a stunning design, but this is the same design that has been kicking around for ages. Obviously it would be a huge commercial asset, but I will believe it all when the construction actually starts | |

| I agree..
Don't think to much about it before the building actually starts.. They presented the plans almost a year ago, and nothing has happen since..
But Stadio D'Aquile is a briliant name for a briliant club..
Forza Lazio!
I think that the capacity of the stadium should be for around 55.000, so that there still would be a crazy atmospaire at derby matches.. |

Yeah around that mark would be suitable for a club of our stature. Our highest gate this season has been 55,000 against Juventus and we have had several other high gates again against Juve in the coppa and against Inter in the league that were over 50,000. Anything between 45,000-55,000 should make it a caldron of an atmosphear.

Well there seems to be plenty of similarities with the relations with a fratellino and romanisti; they are cocky, we beat them up. They are cocky again we beat them up again. They start whining and complaining and get licked in the ass by the higher powers. Anyways any news?

Yes I know that mate, what im saying is if they build a new stadium it will generate a lot of interest.I reckon it would draw a bigger crowd than the Olimpico does at the minute and as for the big games, likely to be full house i'd say. Anyway im happy with the Olimpico, theres something about it....... nothing compares. Each to there own though.

Each to there own though. Anyone who has been to the olimpico knows that this arean is subpar if you want a great experience (I´ve been there 3 times). What we need is a smaller, modern arena where you actually see what´s happening on the field. If Lotito manages to build a new stadium for Lazio in Rome then I will forgive him for everything!! Will Lotito be able to build us a new stadium in Rome ..... never in a million years.
