| Ciao Zauri, I always admire middle players with a strong personality and , most important, a unique dedication for their job. To be a middle player and to conquest the Captain band you must work double then others in order to get recognized from the trainer, the team, the supporters. You did it my friend Zauri and you deserved to dress up the band that, believe me, is a very important one in this city. Today you got a good opportunity and you are ready to leave for a new team. I knew that something went wrong in the dressing room in the last 4 months and i really don't care who's fault is. I wish you the best Mr Zauri and see you again one of this days. La Lazio resta . | |

| I think I'll be a only one who will say... thats a good news... He had a good career in Lazio, but he, and many others disapointed me with their effort last season. Last season, when we need a real captain, he wasnt there... I know he was injured, but I realy dont think he have a leader capabilities. I'm verrrry happy that mr Rocchi will be our captain for, i wish, all 5 years. Zauri's time has gone, and we have to turn over to younger players who are better than Zauri. I think on Radu ofcourse. One think is clear, I can't see a Zauri at same lever you Paolo can see because I'm far away and i watch every 2-3 Lazio game... Whatever... I wish you all the best Zauri!!! | |

| Is this true Paolo? Will Zauri definitely be leaving? He has been my favourite Lazio player for the last 2-3 seasons. I know he did not have the best season last time around but prior to that he was a rock for us. Always reliable and trusted upon. Put in good performances and much loved. I want him to stay - at least for another season. I want him at Lazio.... If this is true, then it is a sad day for Lazio and their supporters in my opinion.... I will dearly miss seeing our capitano lead out the troops. All the best Mr Zauri.... thank you for all the great work you did for Lazio and you will always be one of my favourites who has worn the beautiful Lazio shirt.... hope to see you return to Lazio in the near future though! | In my opinion, the decision to sell captain Zauri may well just cost us a place in Europe next season. | |

| as Ermetico said, selling Zauri seems to be a problem in the dressing room not because of his football
when there is a problem in the dressing room, it needs to be fixed quickly

| Ciao Zauri, I was hoping to leave us. I had some doubts, because we become more vulnerable from the left, but I think it’s inevitable move with a view to the problems in our dressing room…… | |

| Fiorentina Fans Launch Anti-Zauri Campaign Fiorentina fans have launched a campaign to stop the club signing Luciano Zauri from Lazio.
La Viola are keen on the left-back, who is expected to move to the Artemio Franchi, but the fans have other ideas.
A number of clubs including Juventus and Atalanta have faced the problem of fans becoming angry by decisions surrounding the signing of players from rival clubs and now it’s Fiorentina’s turn to take the wrath of the Tifosi.
Leaflets with messages against the signing of Zauri have been distributed around Florence as the fans try and stop the club from signing him.
All the commotion has been caused as a result of an incident involving Zauri when Fiorentina played Lazio in 2005.
During that game, the midfielder used his hand to stop a Martin Jorgensen striker from crossing the line. The referee failed to see the offence and Lazio got away with it. Fiorentina lost and the fans have disliked Zauri ever since.
It seems unlikely that the Tifosi will prevent the player from signing for their club as Cesare Prandelli is an admirer of the midfielder and he is looking to bring him in to add some strength in midfield.

| I'd rather have him stay than be treated this way. He is our captain and he does give blood to the jersey. Can't say that he won't be useful still. It is not like he's the worst player in our defense.
Last season was bad for all the players. Zauri as well. If his sale provide us with enough money for a proper defender then fine. But if it's just a trade with Dainelli, I honestly choose Zauri.

| he didn't have a great season last year, that's a fact. But still, i don't like losing him, he can be a very useful player. So, don't judge him over one bad season i say. | |

| In my view he was unlucky played last year. Got injured for some time and never really found his stride while Kolarov, Radu etc. were on form.
I don't agree with those who already write him off, he would certainly would be usefull for us. Remember that with Zauri as captain we managed that excellent second half of the season in 2007. Of course he isn't getting any younger but we don't have a lot of expierenced players so it would be good him.
Another reason Kolarov is still vulnerable in defence and I think Radu is more a centre back than a full back. And finally I doubt we would get much money for Zauri so it's probably not worth it.
Of course we don't know the inside things and maybe it's better for him to move on for the team's sake but aside that I'd say it's a player certainly worth keeping. Hopefully things will sort out and we won't have to regret selling our one of the most reliable and expierenced players.

| He doesn't seem to be a player who would cause a lot of trouble. Rather opposite actually. Anyone could confirm or dismiss this?
Experience and character is something that this team always lacks and we shouldn't be offloading the ones we have. He is only 30 years old so I really doubt he's finished. He is very versatile too. Keep him!
