HE is a good businessman so I know he is aware of this, but this means once Zarate reach 40 or 50 million euros value he will be sold.

I am beginning to irritate with this boy. He is playing only for himself.
I am really angry with him and I am really sorry that Rocchi and Pandev have health issues.
If they were fit and in form , I would have vote with two hands Zarate to be benched instantly.

I know what you mean Usampa. He is a great player, but too much of an individualist. We need him to become more in harmony and in touch with the other players to be able to use him as the superb attacker he could be for us. Too much dribbling, simply put.

Mauro Zarate shrugged off interest from Real Madrid in order to focus on Lazio. “This is my year and I worked hard for Serie A.”

The former Birmingham City man is reportedly on the Merengues wish list after a sensational start to his Biancocelesti career.


“Clearly that is a club that everyone dreams of, but for the moment I am in Rome and do not want to disappoint the Lazio fans,” he told French magazine ‘So Foot.’


He settled in immediately at the Stadio Olimpico and has already scored seven goals for the club.


“I wouldn’t say it was easy. Let’s just say I had a lot of confidence in my own abilities. I was convinced I could have a great start.


“This is why I prepared physically during the summer more than ever before, so I could be ready for this challenge. The goals were the natural consequence of that work.


“I feel very good, the team is working well and we are not far off the Champions League places. I think I also settled quickly because Serie A is tactically similar to the Argentine League.”


The same could not be said of Qatar and club Al-Sadd, who still own his contract although a deal has been struck to complete the sale to Lazio over three years.

Sistemato Zarate, adesso c'è da risolvere il nodo Pandev. Anche in questo caso, comunque, la volontà delle due parti è di trovare un'intesa sul trattamento economico per porre le basi di una squadra ancora più competitiva.

He almost cried when substituted! i feel sorry for him.. this boy just wants to play football! but yet.. Rossi was smart and knew when to replace him..

This kid , Zarate, needs to be benched , until he realizes and stop playing and pretending of "MARADONA".

Our Captain Rocchi is very alive , he is not even close to be finished player , as someone here already said. He can score a lot more than Zarate , if he is healthy.....

Don't feel sorry for him. I always held him highly but afer yesterday he disappointed me much.

The kid needs to learn that when you don't play well, you get benched, those are the signs of a professional. And another thing he needs to learn, that he will never come ahead of the team, for god's sake we scored a goal, and the guy kept sitting on the bench like he does not care....

I agree with posts saying he acted like a prick yesterday, but I am sure he was pretty dissapointed with his own game yesterday. He should be. And he should show that. The guy is young, has had a great start and a slower latter part this season so far and I guess he wanted to show his skills yestaerday but failed in the last match, at home, before xmas. Let us see...if this behavious goes on, then I think people will react. For now, it is more of a sign that he cares about his game...

I'm almost sure he was disappointed with his game more than he was with the fact he was subbed. You could see him in the final seconds up and shouting. I still think he should watch Any given Sunday :) There is alot to learn from that movie

I noted him standing up shouting before the end as well. As I said, we shouldnt make too much out of his behaviour after the sub. He had a shitty game and reacted accordingly...

Agree... he was disappointed with his game more than the sub... but yet he was indeed standing up and concerned in the last minutes of the game..
and yes the big ten was noticeable in the curva..

I also think he's disappointed with himself more than anything else. His game will pick up, he just needs to score again to boost his confidence, he's a natural born striker after all. He was standing and following the game intensely in the final couple minutes, you can't say he doesn't care about the club.

Maybe a nice break is what he needs and think things over a bit.

I really hope he was disappointing by his performance and not the fact he was subbed. I like this kid and you can see his will to play, but sometimes i just wish someone would smack him in the back of his head. Time will settle him in better and realize some things.

Remember he came from a c-league where he coiuld probably do whatever he wanted with the ball and the players at training etc so it takes a while to adapt. However, I think that Pandev-Rocchi showed a bit of their great understanding this last game and after the break hopefully all the players are fit again, which could mean starting spots for Pandev and Rocchi and Zarate will have to be benched on a few occasions...
