I would say that he´s a little laziale.

Zarate won't leave Lazio Monday 28 September, 2009

Mauro Zarate will not leave Lazio at the end of the season despite the interest shown from several clubs, the player’s agent revealed.

The Argentine scored the equaliser against Palermo at the weekend and looked in good shape.

“I will be in Italy tomorrow to stay close to him,” explained his brother and agent Sergio.

“We are sad Lazio aren’t doing as well as we expected them to but this is not a good reason to say Mauro will leave them.”

The former Velez Sarsfield star has been linked to several of Europe’s top clubs but President Claudio Lotito won’t let go of him easily.

“I have heard rumours regarding Mauro. Papers say he will leave the Olimpico next June but I can guarantee to you that this is completely false.

“My brother signed a contract with Lazio and he will respect it.”

Lazio are set to face Levski Sofia in their next Europa League game on Thursday and Zarate will be leading their front line alongside Julio Cruz.

What do you think about this possibility. Definitely would be great hit for Squadra , but for me it wouldn't' be right and justifiable. Not because will make very strong Italy , but because I am very against such naturalization in general....

I think the NT-games and comeptitions should stop anuyways, since nations and nationality no longer means anything...

I would dream to see Messi and zarate playing in the same team, but if maradona stays i dont think zarate is gonna be called up ever :s

if argentina plays 4-3-3(they didnt for the moment)they have great attackers,but only the wright side is sure possition(of messi)milito-aguero-higuain must fight for the bomber possition),in the left they have our mauro and lavezzi-my personal opinion is that mauro is better than him.he deserve the chance

Zarate is a much better player than Lavezzi.

Lavezzi had one great season, but has flattered to decieve ever since.

Yesterday - he came and he scored. He is the best player of us. If he would pass to (for example) Foggia, than Foggia would do nothing with this pass because he can´t.
Better when Mauro try it alone....

Yesterday - to who should have he passed? Brocchi?, Eliseu?, Foggia? These are all players who can´t score goals!!

yes he scored a goal cause the ball was passed to him in a good situation. and on how many occasions when he dribbled he got something out of it ? NONE. modern football is played with a lot of passes. the one-man-army type of raids are useless...even Messi doesn't do them anymore ! why should our players try them?

I give Mauro more chances to score a goal if he tries it alone, than the rest of the team (accept Rocchi). These are the only two players who can score goals. And if Rocchi is marked, than Mauro has to do it alone because if he passes to Brocchi or Foggia or anybody else....what would happen???....

and that is why we should play with more offensive players. but how many times did zarate score on his own dribbling since last year? did you ever consider that this is the reason he has 2 goals in 10 games now - every one knows he plays on his own and he doesn't pass and he is being marked pretty easy now

it does become somewhat predictable. but it's hard to argue if he can find the net. he's gotta step that up if he's going to demand so much possession.

Yeahh if Zarate passes the ball then we'll be champions of Europe... I think that even Cribari, Siviglia and Co. will kick some ass in defence then... It is all about Zarate not passing, or that he got figured out... It's surely not that he can't get some decent chances that his team mates created for him, he should score create chances help the defence, and, occasionally make some goal clearnces if possible. Then we'll be scudetto contenders.

zarate is certainly not what is wrong with the team, but a tinkering with his game would be nice
