| Albania - Sweden 0-0, zzzz... boring match. I think Sweden played very cowardly and I don't like this new 3-5-2 formation. Let's hope for a win against Hungary on Wednesday instead. | |

| Cyprus 1-1 Italy Aloneftis '28 Pretty rubbish game, Cyprus playing well though. Was that Giallorosso moron Cassetti's error that lead to the equaliser! | |

I put some money on Macedonia, so I am happy! The odds was 2.5! Great! I am going to put money on Macedonia to make the WC. Scotland and Norway haven't been in top competitions for quite some time... Georgia 1-2 Ireland, good start for Trap, the team looked confident, it's just a shame we didn't clone Keano a few years ago because had we done so this team would be excellent Still look a bit weak in the middle and Italy would have beat that side today, but Bulgaria will be interesting.

| OMG! Cyprus 1-2 Italy, Di Natale in injury time, probably the least deserved victory ever. Cyprus should have scored at least 8 goals, Italy were awful! | |

Isnt 2nd place in WC qual only playoffs? I dont think Macedonia can win over some of the other 2nd placed teams over 2 matches but right now they look stronger then both Norway and Scotland.

| 2nd place would mean a playoff but the Dutch are terribly inconsistent and to be honest, with a good draw, Macedonia can shock. I saw the games against England for the Euros and Macedonia can mix it with the big boys, no doubt. | |

| I thought the deal for Europe was that all 1st place go straight, as do the two best 2nd place teams. The rest of the 2nd place teams will then go for a play off and the winners will qualify...I am more or less sure thats the way it goes... | |

yes, I think so, but in a group with Macedonia, Scotland and Norway, I would think it would be a playoff there.

| Congrats to Macedonia and Austria today! However the greatest result for me was where Radu was playing Sorry Stefan but it's 3-0 What an amazing win for us and three top class goals (watch them here - 1 2 3 ). Off to celebrate now, cya | |

| Austria and Lithuania surely got the best results on the day! Well done to both teams!
I watched the first half of Cyprus vs Italy, and I must say Italy have been very lucky and even more so to win it.... its very unfair for Cyprus to get nothing out of the game as they played really well and created good goalscoring chances but thats why Italy are a top team as they are able to defend and maintain their advantages. How are the injuries btw? Hopefully nothing serious (I think it was Gamberini and Grosso!?).
Bulgaria got a 2-2 away draw to Montenegro. I didn't see the full game so I can't say much about the result.

| was close to a disaster for us...
2-1 win is a good result in a place like Cipro, but the performance was nowhere near good enough for a team with that campioni del mondo badge on their shirts
Italians always start off slowly though, so hopefully its just that
couple of injuries, Gamberini got subbed pretty much straight away and Grosso is also injured

| Bosnia lost to Spain 1-0. What an awful game by Bosnian NT. Defending all the game Greece style. I'd rather play good footboll and lose than playing cowardly and defensive and lose anyway. | |

| Poland 1-1 SLOVENIA. Big point from Wroclaw! Polish team scored from the penalty spot (penalty clearly wasnt there in my opinion and many others too...). but the attacking duo Novakovic - Dedic was brilliant! Dedic scored for 1-1 in 35th min. In second half they both have their chances, but at the end I roughly admit a point was fair. | |

| Quite shaky by Italy only beeing able to secure three points in 93rd minute...I know, no games are easy in Europe any longer (Macedonia beats Scotland, Sweden draws Albania, Austria thrashed France, England barely managed to overcome Andorra etc etc etc) but still... | |

Bulgaria played quite bad and was pretty lucky to take a point in the last minute .. The ref got some decisions wrong and didnt give some yellow cards to the Montenegro players, but I have to admit that Bulgaria played awful .. With that kind of play we can't expect anything good from our next games ...

Thanks! It surely gives us a big boost. Overall, it's great to see that there are no easy games for big guns anymore. Hopefully this won't be only a temporary thing and we'll see some surprise teams in the World Cup. The national team games are a real refreshment from the club matches where money is having influence more and more.
