| I know the title of this topic seems to be impossible a month ago... well, even less than a year ago those two guys seem to life in a different planet if you get what I'm saying... But now here we are... top of the table in Serie A and enjoying the controversial act of the word class public debater called "Mourinho". If anybody that don't get what I'm saying, you should know that after losing the Milan Derby Mourinho said something like this "When I look at the table, with all due respect, I don't look at Lazio, Napoli or Catania. I see that we are ahead of Roma, Juventus and Milan,” continued “The Special One” referring to Lazio unexpectedly topping the Serie A table. and then Lotito answered Mourinho's "underestimating Lazio statement" which you can see in this Article: ("Lotito Shoots Down Mourinho") http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=887395And then Goal.com made a special poll for us in here: (Goal.com Poll: Can Lotito Silence Mourinho?) http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=887380 I know it's hilarious... and it's to far far away to say that we are one of the scudetto contenders... But I just want to hear your opinion about this debate between Mourinho and Lotito.. Are you behind our president or in the other side, agree with the world class debater? Enjoy this moment guys.. Lazio's getting famous...once more | |

| Both are talking bullshit in general but Mourinho is quite correct, we will see how Lotito's team spirit and stuff count for naught if some of our stars get injured and we are forced to use the likes of Firmani and Makinwa. I think it's better to avoid being arrogant a all cost and to keep a low profile for now. | |

| I also prefer to remain the underdog and hope Lotito quietens down, but what can Mourinho say???
What has he won in Italia??? He just lost his team's big derby, he cannot say anything. He attacked the Catania ds Lo Monaco, a man who has achieved more in this country than he has, and now Lazio, the team which while they arent real Scudetto challengers, are doing better than his side.
Having said that, I dont think that this Scudetto talk will help Lazio in the long run. 4th should be the target.

| Everyone involved in Lazio need to keep their feet on the ground. Nothing wrong with having the goal of beeing number one, of course winning is what we need to constantly aim at, but we havent won anything yet and there are still a few games left this season. So far everything is good, but it is unlikely that we will avoid dips during the season, and for me the important thing to focus on is improving last years results and hopefully end up with a spot in Europe next year. With luck and results going our way it might be CL, with some bad luck, injuries and such we might find ourself struggling to be top 10. Serie A is extremely tough this year. | |

| And yeah...forgot one important thing. Mourinho is a wanker, he just cannot behave. I dont like his style, no matter if it is just made up to create a "us against them" feeling within his own team or if it is a part of his personality. He is behaving like an asshole no matter where he is carrying out his services... | |

| I know that the depth of an Inter or an AC Milan is far supirior than our squad. We must not think as if all we can achieve is a 4th place finish! Our players must think of winning it all each and every match that mindset is one of a Champion! One where nothing is impossible and the only limitations that we might encounter is in our minds. On the pitch from what I see we can challenge anyone in this league and win! So why cant we win the Scudetto?
Think like CHAMPIONS and you will be CHAMPIONS!
FORZA LAZIO ! ! ! | |

| i think if someone said you are a piece of s(h)it in the kind of situation like what lotito are facing right now, you should, at very least, defend with strong words(even you are actually a piece of s(h)it).
so i think lotito did a great job.
i would definitely do the same thing (or even tougher) at that time if i was president claudio.

| Well its easy against Mourinho, just treat him where he belongs in the back side and don't even bother to hear/read what he says. If eveyone does this he will look like the joker he is indeed. | |

| Though I do not actually believe we have the squad capable of winning the Scudetto yet, I am actually on Lotito on this. It is through our own merit that we are in first place, beating the likes of Sampdoria and Fiorentina is no easy feat. And I think we should be given credit on that. As for a possible Scudetto, it may be possible but what we should be doing now is working hard in training, and take 1 game at a time. | |

| I rather be underdog too but for me Mourinho should show some respect, he is arrogant and needs some humility! He never had my admiration and never will. He should respect the history of clubs like Lazio. I would love to see him out of Italian fooball. | |

| I really don't like that we are now taking part in this back-and-fourth non-sense with Mourinho. It sounds like pure CHILDS PLAY.
Modesty is a virtue and Lotito shouldn't care if we have been mentioned as contenders or not! The results should do the talking!!

| I second that. Lottito shouldn't have to respond to Mourinho. Let our work on the pitch do the talking. Truth be told, we haven't really encountered a testing team beyond AC Milan. The important part is how we will respond to defeat and the tough times ahead of us and how will we react when the pressure of expectancy starts coming.
Mourinho response is just to draw attention to himself and take the heat off his players.

| it's still continuing... Goal.com Lotito: We Can Win Scudetto, Not Afraid Of Inter! The Biancocelesti are currently the league leaders in Serie A after a sublime start to the campaign. There is real belief of a Scudetto win this season and no-one believes in it more than club president Lotito. The chief insists his side are good enough to challenge Inter for the Tricolore and he admits that he and his club are not afraid of anyone in Serie A and he has fired the warning shots already. "This Lazio is as strong as the one which played under the Cragnotti era," said Lotito. "The quality and play of the side is similar to the one which lifted the year 2000 Scudetto. We are playing real football and as a team as the ball is for everyone not just certian players. "Inter? We are not scared of anyone. I don't think they will kill the league. We will fight everyone and we are not afraid to." Lotito's no nonsense attitude over the summer has seen his side undergo a complete revolution. The Aquilotti are flying high and they will be hoping for more points when they take on struggling Lecce at the Olimpico this weekend. bullshit !! this was totally unneeded. We don't need to put such a pressure on our boys by comparing them to the best squad probably in our whole history. And even though I like this squad very much, but you cannot compare them to Veron, Nesta, and Diego Simone. I just think it's too early. And what the hell is wrong with Lottito and Rossi ? First they say our objective is a spot in Europe, and just 5 weeks later they want the to win the Scudetto all of a sudden !! didn't those guys learn anything from our match against Milan ? I guess Lottito is just loving the idea of having a team that is as strong as Cragnotti's team | |
