Serie A: UDINESE-LAZIO, Sunday 14-12-08

Time to put this all into perspective.

We are now 6 points off a Champions League place, 2 points off a UEFA Cup place and 5 points off the bottom of this pack we find ourselves heading.

24 points out of 16 games. 3 more games to the half way point. Next game: Palermo (home). Winnable. Then Reggina (away). Winnable. Followed by Juventus (home). Winnable, if not winnable then drawable.

We should be looking to take 6/7 points. The tough run is over.

I didn't see the game today so I won't comment on it too much, but the highlights suggest that we were caught on the counter 3 times by the best counter attacking forward line in Italy (in my opinion). Even with our susceptible backline, few teams can contend with excellence of that magnitude.

We managed to expose Udinese's own defensive frailties with 3 fine goals.

All problems aside, all hatred of Rossi aside, we could enter the halfway point in the season with 30+ points. Minimum will be 24 points.

Let's be diplomatic here. 24x2=48 which would be mid table mediocrity. 30x2=60 (should be good enough for UEFA and knocking on door of Champions League).

With a win against Palermo, we are were we need to be. A loss and then you can put forward a good argument to dismiss Rossi.

Personally, i think he may have run his course. I don't mind seeing Belleri, Diakite, Del Nero etc. but use them at the right time. Had we used Diakite earlier in the season, the defensive injuries may not exist. If we used Inzaghi sparingly, perhaps Pandev would be fitter. We have a nice squad with sufficient depth that can be used to good effect.

I think Delio has the right ideas but is implementing them in the wrong manner. He is keeping Foggia as a weapon, perhaps the out of form, still looking unfit Rocchi would be better on the bench instead. It's all about knowing what the squad can do in what situations. I still sense Delio is experimenting which is not good for the team. Carrizo and the defence are suffering most because the backline is constantly cahnging at the minute.

Get a result against Palermo and then you can go and fix it Delio. Lose and Lotito can hold open the door while Tare packs your bags. It's that simple for me.

from what I've seen the goals came after big mistakes. What a come back.....

Holy smelling as! Whoever was on the chatbox today would have seen I left at half time extremely frustrated! Now I come home and read that not only did we concede a third but we managed to get a draw! I have certainly learned my lesson! Non Mollare Mai!
The first half was abysmal but great determination was needed to pull this one back and we showed that we have backbones after all. Well done boys, i'm extremely proud!

...I did say that hopefully my departure would bring us luck!

50 embarassing minutes.... and after 5 games and 50min from the 6th, finally we show some passion, some grinta.
only one conclusion for me from this game : ROSSI VATTENE

All three goals today were mistakes, the last two more than the first. Their third goal is a joke. Useless meghni screws things up, followed by a crappy performance by Carrizo. We got one point, and that was more than expected after going down, but for 60 minutes we were a shame and I think Rossi has done his at Lazio. Time for a change, we have got a team that should not fail against Lecce, Bologna, Udine today, Genoa at home, and def. we should show more heart. The players, and the coach, must show that they love to be where they are. I am not seeing that at the moment, and havent seen that for a while now...

the game was simply the delio style(first 60 min),like whith atalanta,like last year,the 30 last min was lucky,and individualistic trying of zarate-lichty,also after our second goal it was just a moment wen we will score the third(not becouse we was good,udinese was terriblle),foggia on the bench,lichty in middle,bellery-del nero,please rossi go,please someone find us a good goalkeeper,we was lost,rochi(rest little,maybe yuo need a week to rest),thanks mauro,lichty and diakite,please pasquale stay whith us(all fans are in youre side),dellio rossi thank you for everything

Just came home... After the first hour I thought of the worst and already regretting why I went there (sorry, but that's what I felt). Seeing Belleri and Del Nero (he wasn't that bad) wandering on the pitch made me sick (not only them). Anyone remembers when was the last time they played a real game? And now they played from the start??? Our football was so static.
The second half wasn't bad, Udinese crossed the midfield line 4 or 5 times, but what it helps when we let them score so easily (Meghni did a Rozehnal imitaion like against Atalanta and let Di Natale go one on one with JP). At least we drew and made my day way more beautiful after all I had to suffer until then.

The second half showed lazialita', but I'm not happy with how our matches turn. We always start playing only after conceding goals and that's not good.

First to say that i don't like to be so negative with my comments, but i think that we deserve 4th place in Serie A so thats why im not pleased with Rossi... Although in this game some players made individual mistakes and we where punish with goals...

Rossi experiment 4-4-2 with 3rd class Belleri (in fresh Diakite,Cribari and Radu) in defnece...with Lichtstainer as offensive winger and 3rd class Del Nero...
First goal - 55% fault by Belleri (he should markt Di Natale better)
Second - 70% fault by Dabo
Third - fault by Lichtsteiner (he should neutralize Di Natale before the shoot) and little fault by Carrizo (he should do better reaction with the ball)
First half Ledesma was disaster, Del Nero-catastrophe, Zarate and Rocchi where very good markt by Udinese defence.
But the moust i blame Rossi and his tactic...
In the 2nd half after changeing tactic and entering Pandev and Meghni and after Foggia, going Licht at his place we where little better...With Pandev in field, Zarate and Rocchi have more space and we where little more danger...

So i think that we should have win this game, and the next with Palermo and keep race for 4th place.
So thats why Rossi should go together with at least 5 other players...and Lazio buy one 1st class defender and two 1st class midfilders.

These players do not deserve to be coached by someone like Delio Rossi.

They need and derseve a better coach.

If i would have been Rossi then i would have subbed Zarate for Manfre because manfre can be very dangerous with is ass in the front. And Firmani for Carrizo because he may be better than Carrizzo.
I still can believe it........Del Nero who is been payed by apples and peanuts.....and Belleri.......i thought hes retired.......
If there is no clear result with developing on the field then Rossi has to go.......the guys dont really know what to do....our game is a mess...and Rossi hopes only for luck..........what an idiot.
And i am sure Meghni will learn from his mistakes...i believe in him 100%

Meghni has amazing technique... but his poor physic form make him a second hand player... in 30min he is tired. he may be a young player but IMO he is a finished player

i see it a bit different.....the games which i have seen meghi has been fighting like hell. And if hes finished then why are they holding him. With an ass like rossi he cant develop. And if he cant play 90min straight then hes a super sub for Lazio.
