Del Nero I hope is ready to go because he's been scoring in friendlies so its time he got some minutes of match time into him. Maybe a late appearance off the bench.

Meghni would be my preferred choice in that last midfield place ahead of Mauri and Manfre.

Belleri wasn't too bad when he filled in after Oddo left us but hasnt played lately. Its safer than using Diakite' as a right back I suppose. Is Modibo any good at RB??

He has played friendlies there and people here gave him praise. I think we need physicality and a defensive mind in that position to deal with Di Natale but is Diakite it?

Lots of rumours and talk about injuries. It is pretty obvious we are raching the winter break.

I would like to see a team where we have at least three offensive players. And a strong back line. This game will not be a midfield struggle as I see it but rathar an end to end game. With that I mean it is a game between their strong offense and our strong offense. They are without their key figure at the back, Zapata, and we should field Foggia - Rocchi - Zarate to take full adavantage of this. On the other hand they have Quag - Di Natale (and Pepe?), players that can hurt us seriously. We need defensers who are fast to cope with these guys...

Guess it will be like a lottery predecting the starting eleven tomorrow. One worrying aspect is that I have not seen a single line up with Foggia, Zarate and Rocchi. Saving one to throw in later?Rather win one point than none? We can take them. They play at home, they are sinking like we are (they have actually lost their last 5 games!) so they have more pressure to take the points than we do.

I don't think it will be end to end. Both sides know they have defensive issues so they will look to shore things up.

Delio will probably keep Foggia in reserve hoping it is 0-0/1-1 with 30 minutes left and then unleash him. Could be foolish thinking considering Udinese's potent attack.

Well, at least we dont know how to tighten the back up very well, so if they manage to do so we will be pretty screwed...we have conceaded 19 so far this season, they 18. A few too many for both teams as both us and Udine want to be fighting for the 4th. (We have conceaded most in the upper half of the table, and they are second in that list...and we are no longer the team that has scored most...)

So it looks like Goran and Lichti might have a chance of playing, unless this list is wrong. With these players there is no reson we can't put out a decent line up (without Manfredini and Mauri please) as long as we are not risking further injuries by playing half-fit players.
I will miss the start of the match today so hopefully when I get on to the chat it will be going well, although I am still worried that lots of teams bad spells often end against us.... no, think positive, think positive!
