| We must score the first goal, as we dont want to be chasing the game. Chievo arent as bad as their league position suggests. They had a solid home draw with Cagliari after a win at Atalanta, something that We didnt manage as well as Inter also. That being said, we should win this game, we have to with tough away games at Siena and Catania coming up. We have to make the most of this period now as after these three matches we have the derby then Genoa away two games that I think will shape our season ultimately. | |

| All games from Chievo on will shape our end of the season, if we'll lose some points the next 4 games, think that the main focus will be the Coppa ... but as I said before, we'll see from week to week, and the players should do the same, not thinking now about the derby coming or the Coppa return ... just focus on Chievo. | |

| With all the main protagonists in Serie A now out of Europe this is a must win game now, an absolute must win. We cant expect any to slip up now as Rioma, Genoa and Fiorentina all only have the league to play for. Still, with Fiorentina at Inter this weekend, Rioma and Samp and Genoa at Cagliari this could be our chance to close the gap on them further. | |

Inzaghi played as well with 3 in a row goals. Too bad its a big difference to score in Serie A and against amateurs, otherwise Inzaghi would be amazing

| i heard diakite was back in trainning earlier this week.
For the chievo match id like to try out zarate foggia rocchi and see how that works out, apparantely the mr disagrees and will again field zarate pandev upfront when clearly the captain is hot and we should take adavantage of that. Pandev, looks fatigues which has caused under par pefromances of late, i think a small break will only do him well, bring him in later on the match, im sure he wont complain.

This Sunday against lazio will be their 2nd Lose since new year... We should win (again and again) this match..it's a crucial match.. Can't wait to see the match...I hope Lazio scoring first..not chievo.. This is an easy game..but we absolutly not to underestimate Chievo..they will fight with more spirit against us (especially makinwa).. Good news is Merda will face Sampdoria in away match...Next week they'll fight against Juve... I hope we can step ahead before them before derby... COME ON GUYZ....BE OPTIMISTIC..THIS WEEK SHOULD BE OUR WEEK... HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND..

Inzaghi played as well with 3 in a row goals. Must be the chinese take away he's having for lunch Why can't Inzaghi playing Serie A as if he was playing friendly match, seriously he scores more goal in friendly match than Zarate, Pandev even Rocchi!!.. As for this game, 3 points is a must, we can't rely too much on Coppa Italia especially after Juve out from CL Keep the momentum going, Forza Lazio!!

Yeah right ... Not every player can score against unprofessional teams .. Simone isn't good for big football anymore and should go to a team in a lower division ...

Simone isn't good for big football anymore and should go to a team in a lower division ... You're absolutely right...for example, I think I personally wouldn't be able to score a hat-trick against an amateur side...to be honest, I am actually quite ashamed that our 4TH striker is Inzaghi...I remember there were rumours that Lazio wanted to take Bojinov as it's 4th striker, which was an amazing option! Anyways, back to the game...no matter how strange it might sound, the match against Chievo is going to be really tough...and I am very very afraid that we might not win, because it's definitely going to be hard away against Catania and Siena, then at home against Roma. If we don't beat Chievo - we are finished. This match is very, VERY important!

| Inzaghi is an amazing option to have. Ok, I wouldn't want him starting games, but in terms of having that poacher, Inzaghi at 60 years of age would still be useful.
In a few years time, the name/word Inzaghi will make the Italian dictionary and be defined as poacher.
Don't forget, he is hungry, he clearly loves the club (that extension he signed is the proof) and he is our only Scudetto winner here. By the time he retires, Mendicino or Kozak will be established enough to assume his role. In the meantine, we don't have to sell Inzaghi and pay good money for someone of his calibre.
This game won't be easy. Chievo will be fairly confident they can get out of this mess after recent results and contrary to what some believe, they will go for three points. What's the point in travelling to Rome, playing a vastly superior side and playing for one point? I'm sure they will come to rattle our cages, grab an early goal and see what happens from there.
As long as we play close to our best, we will win but should we have an off-day, they will capitalise. Don't give me any of this "no excuses losing to them" rubbish. At this stage of the season, there are no easy games.

Sorry, but 1 goal, if your lucky, a season is not good enough at this level. I would rather see Kozak and co given the opportunity now really so they can grow. Inzaghi has had his chance, now let someone else have a go.

| 1 goal a season in how many performances?
my point was, he can do a job IF required. Ideally, we wouldn't want him to be required but there you go.

He had real talent that is true and he is loyal, but for whatever reason he has not made the most of it. 1 goal in 9 games is not really great, admittedly most being sub appearances, but he is loyal so i he deserves his shot but i draw the line at amazing option.

I think Inzaghi is still worth having around. Whenever he graces the pitch, which isn't that often you can see the fire in his eyes, he's always pumped up and he causes alot of problems for the opposition, not so much with the ball but it's his off the ball movement I like. Defenders always know they have to stick to him like glue because he is a poacher and that can open up space for our other strikers or supporting midfielders.

| Inzaghi is a very poor player. Only his name brngs a little bit of fear and respect amongst defenders, he has no football skills and when it comes to being a real goal scorer he needs to learn a bit from his brother. I would say you are all exaggerating Simone tremendously, he hasnt been given that many chances, and i dont think he ever derserved any more chances. For a short while I thought you guys were debating Filippo, the way you wrote about this "wonderful pocher". He is of very low quality, and he should have been gotten more goals than he has 8even though he almost never gets to play). he has been given more time than needed to score one goal this season, if he is to be considered useful and having qualities etc etc. I would play any of the Primavera attackers infront of Simone. However, I like him because of his dedication and not complaining too much despite not getting any playing time. At the same time I think any player of his low quality would sit back and accept being a rarely used sub with the salary he has been having...no other club ever though he was worth that many since he has been with us for so long... Is Kozak called up for tomorrows game? Ettore?
Was briefly reading posts in this thread and it is as if many of you guys have forgot that we had a very tough game away to Chievo and only luck brought us the three points...All teams are hard to beat at the moment and if the team goes in with the mentality that our form and table standing are enough to beat Chievo we will be screwed. They have only lost one game this year, so they are having a good run, confidence and a clear objective. They are close to getting to safer ground and we have not been very strong at home this season (either...) and I fear that this game could turn out to a very hard one. With the correct attitude, and with players as hungry as we have seen them the last few weeks, we can get the three. The game is more open than most people seem to think...
I am looking forward to seeing Matuzalem again as I think he has been very good the last games and is improving lately. I was not very optimistic when we brought him, and he was out for so long due to injury which made me doubt him even more. But from what I have seen the last few games he holds great quality that we need and I am eager to see him getting even better as he gets playing time and adapts to the team...
