Almiron and 10m for Pandev? What a crock..

if we get anything its either 20m for Pandev or Marchisio and 10 to 15m for Pandev.

I am resigned to losing Pandev...as much as I love the guy...he couldnt have done any better than to sign with lazio...he's career was nowhere..then lazio gave his career a great boost...

money and Iaquinta is interesting...we do need that sort of a striker...but im not sure that will happen...

i really hope we dont get almiron..i mean surely there is a reason he is just being loaned everywhere? had great times at empoli..starred....then juve...then fiorentina..monaco...the guy cant settle anywhere and i dont think he is for us...

man this off season is going to be crucial for us..

Today Pandev and his agent met with Lotito. During the meeting that lasted only 15 minutes, Lotito told Pandev that he's ready to offer a new contract with a higher salary. In reply to that, Pandev and his agents said that they want to know clear projects and strategies towards the future advancements of Lazio.

It's true, nobody wants to play for a sh!t club. Let's hope Lotito DOES HAVE some intentions for Lazio's advancement, rather than retreat.

I guess tomorrow's meeting with Rossi is clearly connected with this. Perhaps, Lotito is going to ask Rossi whether he thinks he's capable of reaching high places in next season's serie A and doing well in Europe. I think Lotito wants to bring back Lazio slowly to the highest European standards. May be, in 2-3 years time we can be like Arsenal. And who knows, maybe in another 4-5 years' time like Liverpool.

Come on lets expand and improve our project. I hope this is a good lesson for Lotitio what pandev is going.
Guys hopefully this will change Lotito a bit, lol. Lotito had the contract extension with pandev is January and did not take it, deserves him right, plus the zarate transfer did not work out well. Hopefully Lotito starts understanding that some things have to be done quickly and that some changes are required if Lazio is be advance and improve further.

We should match Juve's offer for Pandev, he deserves 2.5 million euro/season, enough for being a feeder club in Serie A, we're not Udinese, not Genoa..

If he goes, we need to get a decent money for him, not Almiron plus 10 million euro, that was an insulting offer from Juventus, we give em Pandev, they should give us Iaquinta and Criscito!

All I know is that this issue with pandev has to be sorted out quickly.
As I see it there is a 50%-50% of him staying or going.

It also seems we have requested Marchisio,but Juve would rather include Almiron in the deal.

But all in all,I would rather have Iaquinta for Juve (in this deal that is) as it seems we are getting pretty close to Fabian Vargas from Boca Juniors, who plays this position.

The problem is that ****** waited far too long (as always when our most important players contracts are expiring) to negotiate a new contract with Goran Pandev. Juventus could potentially wait 6 months and offer Pandev a contract free of charge. Obviously they want to avoid that situation, because in that case they would face tough competition from many European top clubs.

However, with Pandev´s contract running out in one year, Lazio is not in the commanding seat during these negotiations. Therefore any dream scenarios like that of Iaquinta or Marchisio being inserted in the deal is never going to happen. Juventus consider those players as reguarls and they have no reason to offer that kind of technical compensation when they could also wait 6 months and take Pandev for free.

Juventus have a lot of players who failed and it´s certainly an opportunity for them to get rid of some dead weight. That´s why they offer Almiron... other candidates could be Thiago or Poulsen (who was mentioned earlier today). Or another scenario is that we could perhaps get a youngster, who is not yet Juventus material... De Ceglie or perhaps Ariaudo.

There is nothing wrong with Pandev leaving us. He did well here and he has been very loyal to the club. We payed him 450.000 euro per season, which is unheard of for a player of his class. He certainly doesn´t owe us anything and it´s only normal he would like to try a new adventure. Obviously Lotito should not have waited, but instead he should have negotiated a new contract with Pandev last summer, like the Macedonian and his agent proposed to Lotito (but at that time the President was busy). It would have been fair to Pandev most of all. Perhaps he would have liked to leave anyways, but at least we would have been paied what the player is worth.

Now Pandev has not left yet, although it looks very likely. Apparently Lotito is trying his all to save the situation, by offering Pandev a new deal worth 1.5 million a year with a buy out clause allowing Pandev to leave next summer. Even if he succeeds with that, it´s not very tempting to keep a player, who already expressed his desire to leave, just to be standing in more or less the same situation next year...

It's not that bad an idea to try and keep him for another year. We could have a successfull season next in Europe and the league and that might change his mind next summer. I think the deal at 1.5m a season and a buy out clause is something he should consider. He would triple his wage and remain an established 'hero' of an exciting team. Not a bad proposal in my opinion.

1.5 milllion euro is a bit short, no? I mean Zarate earns around 2 million euro, and he's only been here for a year, Pandev surely feels he deserves to earn at least 2 million euro/season or more. I'd say we match Juve's offer, 2.5 million euro/season plus release clause, it's a win win solution for both parties.

Sgt.Pepper is right. If you are harsh on someone that will be Lotito. He miss the opportunity to keep Pandev and make a new contract years ago. Like that if we want to sell him we could negotiate higher price. And that is why Lotito is trying hard to keep him at least a year.

I don't want Pandev leaving for another Italian team, it sucks - but Juventus are really the only club as of now that can give Lazio a player we want. Who can Tottenham give us?

But the 10 million plus Almiron for Pandev is a joke.

The only players which interest me are Ariaudo, Iaquinta, Marchisio and Criscito. I don't see anyone else really and I hope if Lazio does lose Goran to Juventus, that we get one of these players along with some money. I would be very tempted if they offered Claudio Marchisio - but none of those bullsh!t co-ownership deals. Fully ours!

Bottom line Lotito.... offer Pandev what he deserves so he stays in Rome!

I hope he will stay with us, he is a key player in Lazio.My criticism to Lotito is that he waited to long to extended Pandev's contract.And Pandev's earnings in Lazio are funny. only around 500 000 € per year for one of the most important player in club is also funny ,Inzaghi gets about 1,5 m per year ( or I'm wrong??) for seating on the bench.
So Lotito give to Pandev what he deserves.

Why such a buzz for Goran? In the past we have lost much bigger and better players than him, so I see no point of crying for him? If he wants to leave, then fine, thank you and good luck Goran. Our first goal must be to secure Zarate, he could be the next big thing, Goran is at his peak right now, and if we can get 15 milion Euro and Iaquinta or De Ceglie then why not?

I hope Lotito can bring a better deal. But Almiron was good at Empoli, maybe he can rediscover his form with us.....

Right now Lotito isn't in a very good position coz Pandev has one more year out of his contract and can't demand the highest possible fee.

IMO I think that Lotito isn't capable to do the best of selling Pandev in terms of making benefit to Lazio. I know that he'll fuck up and take stupid offer.

Maybe we should consider Almiron in any case. before he turned out to be a failure at juve and viola, he was pure class and he had lots of potential. Now, if we are to let Ledesma and Pandev go this summer (not sure it will happen, I think Ledesma's future is closely tied to Rossi's) we need a new player for our CM and an Almiron that rediscovers his form could be very helpful.

At the same time, it is a fairly low offer by juve. Almiron was bought, at his peak, for 9 million and now they want to give us 10 + an Almiron that has been to no good for two seasons..?

I still wish for Pandev to leave Italy, if he is to leave Lazio...

Yes he's old now but he's been our most consistent central defender and his experience is very valuable to us. He might not be the best defender technically but gets the job done. If you're going to play a youngster in defence you need an experienced one next to him
