Pandev shock: "In 2009 I move on"
"If things stay like this, I will leave Lazio next summer. Ouch. That would be bad, especially when the one who says this is Goran Pandev, only a few hours before the official gathering of the new Lazio. Like this, Lotito has more trouble. And what trouble: The flower of his four year management is at risk breaking away.
Pandevīs contract expires in 2010. The negotiations for the renewal of the contract between Lotito and the attackers agent Carlo Pallavicino, is in a difficult phase. At the end of last season: Lotito has listened to Pandevīs requests (contract like Rocchi, one million euro and bonuses per year) and has made a new appointment with the manager in September. "Lotito insists on renewing my contract, but at this time, he doesnīt accept my conditions", Pandev has said to the macedonian daily Vest. "In this moment, I am standing firm on my position. My agent is continously in contact with Lotito. But if things stay like this, I will stay for another year and next summer I will leave Lazio"
Thatīs not all: Pandev also acts on the ghost of article 17. "According to the FIFA regulation, within a year I could free myself for a low figure. I hope the negotiations for my contract will move forward within another 2-3 months. But in this phase of uncertainty, I cannot buy a new house in Rome, where up until not I have been great"
Those last two phrases once again leave the field open. "I donīt sell the best players", Lotito always repeats, determinated to renew the Macedonians contract. The 2-3 months Pandev talks about, will end at the deadline fixed by the president for the renewal, that is september. However, the Macedonian is not expecting to wait any longer. Meanwhile, not only Bayern Munich, but half Europe is watching the incident

Pandev absent in Valmontone: No alarm
After the publication of the interview to the Macedonian daily "Vest" and the absence from the presentation of the new official jersey, the big alarm surrounding Goran Pandev was released. "In 2009 I move on" these are the words that have released a dangerous alchemy on the day of the departure to Auronzo di Cadore.
Everybody calm down: The alarm was false it has been revealed. Pandev is in Formello together with the other teammates and the absence from the presentation of the jersey in Valmontone is connected only to an organizational problem. The Macedonian is calm: With a relaxed smile he has left the understanding that those declaration should not put any fear with the fans: Pandev wants to remain in Rome and with Lazio.
About the interest of the Germans from Bayers Munich everything has already been said. The Bayern club had put a 20 million offer on the table for the player, which has already been rejected some time ago by the biancocelester number one. The germans are waiting and they do not move one meter, looking forward to understand Lotitoīs next move. Lotito doesnīt want to repeat the same mistake as what has happened with Valon Behrami. Either he renews the contract or sells him for big money
Huge problem with Pandev? Yes there are some problems due to the salary increase and president Lotito style. As for Ledesma the situation could be a disaster very soon . I , personally, disagree with players asling money before the contract ends but this is soccer money and this is the way it works.

Yes, I agree. Players should honor their contract as it is. It's only when players (like pandev) get more spotlight and recognition that they start to measure themselves to the likes of kaka, ronaldihno, and others. Thus, they want to be treated as world class. It's not a bad thing to think of yourself as "world class" (which I believe Pandev is) But your signature is on the contract....you were happy on the day you signed it.....just sit with it for now. (as he is doing)

Off topic : I have the same wallpaper on my desktop but without Pandev :)
My opinion on Pandev and Ledesma : If a player wants to leave a club no one can stop him for examp. Ronaldo and Man Utd... they are giving him a sh*t load of money and still he wants to move on... so It's up to the player... another examp: Cribari - he said he is staying and it money doesn't matter
Now why everyone is exampeling Ronaldo...... Stay away from hiiiiim Ronaldo case is simple... Its not about the money.... As a kid he dreamed of wearing Real Madrid shirt..... Well ok... but this year its not his time.... Simply because his contract will expire in 2012.... so 4 years from Today.... Now Pandev case is diferent... In numerus occations he insisted that Rome is the percet place for him... But there is just one problem... Thinking of his future,,, he will not play football like forever and he was the best player for Lazio this season.. so why not make him the best earner in the team... It quite logical. If I for instance believe that I'm the best of all guys in the team then I would not like some guy to have bigger wage then me... It disrespectful..... And esspecially if other clubs are interested to give me more wage money... So Lotito..... Make Pandev highest earner and he will sign until 2013

I think it is logical to give Pandev as much as Rocchi has...Pandev is younger, has a great potential and has also played for us for a while now...If Rossi/Lotito considers him crucial for us in the future, he should be given a good contract and I am sure he would sign a long lasting contract...

The thing is very simple...Pandev deserves better salary that's at least at the same level with Rocchi's. I'm not saying that only because we are from the same country.
He, with some other palyers is our future, and we need to keep him. Goran said many times that he wants to stay in Rome and that he loves Lazio.
The thing about "respecting his contract"...he's doing that, but new contracts have to be negotiated before the current ones expire so the player want leave for nothing. Goran said what he wants to Lotito and i thing that's not too much. He already had double the offers from other clubs but he wants to stay with us, for a certain price.

Lotito has a deal with Pandev?
That means they agreed on a contract renewal?

Lotito should extend his contract, negotiate a new one and increase his salary. Even though he has some time left on his contract, that is what Lotito needs to do. The reason is simple - new players get higher salary than players that have honoured the jersey for a while allready...that is a nail in the eye for a guy lika pandev...

Goran Pandev has ended all speculation that he was set to quit Lazio, as club president Claudio Lotito reveals that he has reached an agreement over a new contract. Pandev, who moved to Lazio from Ancona in 2004, has only two years left on his current deal, and there have been strong reports this summer that the 24-year-old could quit the Biancocelesti for a bigger club.
A number of European giants have shown an interest in the Macedonian, including the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, however the forward has agreed terms over a new contract and is expected to put pen to paper in the next few days.
"We have reached an agreement with Goran for the contract extension," said Lotito.
"He will remain at the club for a long time. He knows he has the affection and support of this club."
Meanwhile, Pandev has confirmed that he will pen a fresh deal, and has urged the Romans to continue their summer spending, following the acquisitions of the likes of Mauro Zarate and Matuzalem.
"I've made my choice, we've brought in other new players and we need to further improve, he explained.
"Lazio must always stay on top, Palermo and Fiorentina in my opinion are not better than us."

I never questioned his loyalty. I'm a big fan of Pandev, I think he loves this club and I'm happy that he's chose us. He could very easily play for another European giant, so this is great news.
