| ma, how is Ballardini a reject?? He quit Palermo, they didn't sack him. Personally I think he's a great option to replace Delio.
Can't beleive people want Ranieri, the guy is not only extremely overrated, he's also riommanista.
Lotito is trying to get Allegri but Cagliari pres Cellino has slapped a 10 million euro price tag on him and fair enough too, so I guess that rules him out.

Lotito is trying to get Allegri but Cagliari pres Cellino has slapped a 10 million euro price tag on him and fair enough too, so I guess that rules him out. Don't get me wrong.. said that "he did very well with palermo" but if you analyse Lotito's words on radio it reads "We do not buy other clubs' rejects, as some people want to make believe. We make our own choices, we're independent." Im just saying that 'technically' he is a reject of Palermo because Zampa no longer wanted him..I understand that he quit but obviously Zampa no longer wanted him there...albeit that Zampa is an extremely volatile President! Lotito goes on to say that our manager will be a winner...And the irony is that again 'technically' we are about to sack a 'winner' in Rossi because he has won a coppa italia title..Bellardini has won nothing...So i don't think that this is an extremely great move to sign him...and furthermore don't think that as Lotito puts it : "It will be an important coach, who will allow us to execute the project we have in our heads. In general, whoever leaves will be replaced by someone better, as has always happened." How is he 'better' if managers are adjuded upon success and titles....?? Do you see my point? In any case we will wait to see what happens it will be a merry go round... This has just surfaced anyway : LOTITO CHASING ALLEGRI http://goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2009/06/07/1310601/lotito-planning-allegri-raid-on-cagliari-reporthaha well with a 10m price tag forget that...how about we get Scolari? hahaha he is out of work! Agree with Ranieri...although i think Juve were extremely harsh, with the squad they have to finish in the CL..first season back from Serie B...fairly good result for them would have thought..they are not at the level of Inter..or at the level to challenge for the title...and yet they were in the end..

| I hear we are very close to Allegri, despite the price tag. He has himself asked to be released, and if this is true I can see no reason why Cellino would want to keep him.
Out of the names mentioned, it is hard to say which ones are actually possible. Both Allegri and Ballardini are promising names, but somehow I feel we need an experienced coach to take our game to the next level...

| There is definitely an opportunity to get a big name coach. Very few vacancies are available and Rijkaard was the first to panic although I would safely say he got a nice salary out of his negotiations. Whether Lotito can afford a big name or would be willing to splash the cash on a big name are contentious issues.
I have always thought Schuster was a possibility. In fact, my logic all along has been this.
If we want a big name coach, it should be Schuster. If we want a laziale, it should be Laudrup. If we want an Italian coach, it should be Allegri.
Lotito has promised a coach better than Rossi. There's not many better out there, certainly not in Italy but Allegri is a standout candidate. This guy is well on his way to a big, big side and it would be nice if we could nab him before he takes that path. Because unlike Zenga, if this guy makes us a big team again, I feel he will stay.

| From Allegri, Landrup and Schuster I would opt for one of the first two. Schuster has no Italian coaching, and neither does Landrup but at least he played in Serie A during his career and spent some marvelous seasons with Lazio so he knows the club and style of play, and knows a decent amount of Italian. Allegri is surely one for the future and I agree with Caxi that if he does get the job and brings us back to glory then he would probably stay. He seems quite loyal and humble - unlike Zenga for example, who joined Catania's bitter rivals. They are all essentially a risk but could all turn out to do brilliant jobs at Lazio. I assume Schuster would cost Lotito the most so that might be a stumbling block? There are still Ballardini, Mazzarri and Giampaolo to remember, who have all been linked with Lazio recently and although they are all good coaches, I wonder if any one of them could take Lazio to the next level?
When is Lotito's press conference going to be; where he is supposedly going to announce Lazio's full ownership of Zarate, and officially comment on Rossi's contract and that it will most likely not be renewed?

| Rijkaard went for Galatasaray. Lazio are bigger and better club. Fair enough they have CL but it would have been nice to see him here.
Now that rossi has gone, Lotito talks about getting a champion in. Who on earth does he have on his mind? Allgeri? Mazzari?
I wonder if he is thinking of bringing in Mancini? Diego Simone?
Milan bought in Leonardo so they might be thinking of pinning their hopes on an ex Laziale? What about Zico. Did'nt lotito want him? I am not sure about Ranieri. Yes he is a good coach but can he bring us a Scudetto?

Yes he is a good coach but can he bring us a Scudetto? Someone is losing his mind over all the rumours You are right my friend. I am like a headless chicken. Someone feed me with real transfer rumours Ok, its official!!! Rossi leaves!! -------------------------------------- OFFICIAL: ROSSI LEAVES LAZIO Monday 8 June, 2009 Delio Rossi has formally announced his decision to leave Lazio in an emotional Press conference held this afternoon. The 48-year-old, who led the Biancocelesti to a historic victory in the Coppa Italia last month, is no longer in favour in the capital. Lazio President Claudio Lotito grew frustrated with Rossi this season, as his side showed flashes of brilliance one moment, then lost unexpectedly the next. “For me it's difficult to tell you that I have interrupted my relationship with Lazio after four years at the club,” Rossi said. “It is not an easy choice, but one well thought out because lately I have understood that I am no longer at the centre of Lazio's tactical project. “My decision matured a long time ago, but it was not possible to do a Press conference before,” he revealed. “I arrived on my tiptoes and I will leave on my tiptoes and I intend to do it at Formello where I have felt at home.” Earlier this morning Lotito announced he would begin his search for a new trainer later this week. Cagliari Coach Massimiliano Allegri is the new favourite for the job while Davide Ballardini is also one of the frontrunners. ------------------------

| Yes Diego would be ideal as he can bring in so many good argentina talented young players but he still is managing another team.
They are saying that Ballardino has not quit palermo post so it leaves me with one conclusion. Mazzari will be our manager. Lotito has been chasing him for a while and Mazzari has left sampdoria so he can take over.
He is young annd vibrant manager. We can win consistantly with him rather than winning a few games and then losing to minnows.
