| Pandev , Ledesma , De Silvestri: OUT. President Lotito decided to let the 3 players at home after all debates for the market and transfers. The 3 players will continue their training session in Formello. | |

| Cruz leaves Inter for LazioFriday 31 July 2009 Julio Cruz has left Inter after six seasons S.S. Lazio have signed former Argentina striker Julio Cruz on a free transfer from FC Internazionale Milano. One-year contract Cruz, 34, has signed a one-year contract with an option for a further season with his new club and could make his Lazio debut on Saturday week against Inter as the Coppa Italia holders face the Nerazzurri for the Italian Super Cup in Beijing. The former CA Banfield and Feyenoord striker arrived in Italy in 2000 and after three seasons with Bologna FC he joined Inter in 2003. Despite often being a second choice in attack, Cruz scored 49 goals in six Serie A seasons in Milan, helping Inter to win the last four Scudetti. Lazio discover their UEFA Europa League play-off round opponents next Friday and will play them on 20 and 27 August. ©uefa.com 1998-2009. | Lazio drawing closer to Super Cup final di Federico Farcomeni Fonte: Corriere dello Sport/Gazzetta dello SportLazio are approaching fastly their first official match of the new season amidst the Chinese supporters enthusiasm. This will be a good fuel for the team although Inter Milan can boast far more fans in China (it seems like they are 20 millions). Their official sponsor, Pirelli, is not by chance also the official sponsor of the Chinese Super League. Nonetheless, Lotito highlighted how Lazio is not in Beijing to be considered as “Inter’s sacrificial lamb”. The president also promised two more signings in a day when Rasmus Bengtsson seems to be joining Dutch Champions AZ Alkmaar with the chance to play some Champions League football. The Swede said he would love to play in Italy but it looks like AZ are hot favourites now to land the central defender. AC Milan, in the meanwhile, are reportedly trying to buy Ledesma and De Silvestri. As we already said, it all depends on Andrea Pirlo reuniting with former coach Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea. Yesterday Stefan Mauri and Simone Inzaghi acted as male models for new Lazio official suits designed by Gianfranco Ferré, the famous Italian fashion designer. The presentation took place in the Ferré official store in Beijing. The suit is very smart: a dark blue suit jacket, a cotton white shirt, a sky blue tie and in winter a single breasted coat will provide the right style to Lazio athletes. Of course the GF brooch will embellish the whole suit. A stylish Lazio! Here’s Lazio’s programme for the coming days (hours are in Beijing time so consider Rome’s time +6 hours): Read the full story with Lazio's programme, possible line-ups and Inter Milan news here! http://www.lalaziosiamonoi.it/?action=read&idnotizia=6476 |

| WATCH THE GOALS! Lazio conquers China and wins the Italian Supercup!!!! Re-live the match commentary here! di Federico Farcomeni You can watch the goals on the bottom part of the page! After lifting the Supercup Lazio players sing "who doesn't jump is a Roma fan!"!!! Crazy!!! What a party guys!! Now the Vola Lazio Vola hymn notes are vibrating in the stadium that served as the Olympic Games showdown last year!!! Definitely fair enough: Lazio's colours were chosen in recognition of the fact that the Ancient Olympic Games and along with it the sporting tradition in Europe is linked to Greece! | Subject: More benches, more stats and a statue Thu Oct 15, 2009 8:55 pm | |
| 14/10 Remember the benches? Lazio announced that the figure (60.000) was not right: in truth they seem to pay 500 euros per game so the total amount of money at the end of the season should be between 10 and 15,000 euros. Sunday will be a special day for one more reason. Those of you who have attended a game at the Olimpico on the Distinti Nord or the Tribuna Tevere or either the Distinti Est sections, will have spotted (maybe) a golden point in the sky. Of course it wasn’t a spaceship, but a statue of the Virgin Mary (in Italian it's called "la Madonnina"). That statue has been there since December 8th 1953 and it was built as a vote: if the bombs wouldn’t damage Rome too much, the statue would be erected. And that’s what happened back then, until on Monday night some wind storms knocked it down. Thus, Lazio v Samp will be the first football match to be played without the golden statue looking upon the stadium. The last game to be played without it was Lazio v Spal on December 6th 1953: the Eagles won the match 2-1.
