Gio, I think you're gonna have to develope your thoughts a bit. I see your point and I agree that he is not really poor on anything. Except from defending, which is after all a pretty important part of a midfielders responsability. But superb? Supurb as in constantly playing on top of his level (which I would agree with) or superb as in a top class serie A-player?

Personally I think Ledesma is way better in almost everything. That would not include cross balls and dictating the tempo on the midfield.

Basically what I was going for. I think the problem is he is usually paired with Dabo, who has been dire this year, or a Matuzalem who can be invisible for 85mins. Mark my words, if we saw Baronio and Ledesma together you would be impressed.

Anyways, I dont want to get caught in a discussion where we evaluate Baronio, I think (and hope) you also think he is below par for a Lazio that wants to fight for the top 6...He is playing at the top of his capacity, and as I have said before, he is doing as well as he ever could. But all in all, I think he is just not good enough on anything...

A player I would choose instead? Well, there are many out there, but most pf them are not possible to take, and wasny possible before the season either. If I could turn the time back a few months, I would have gone for Almiron or Banega. Both of them were possible to lure, the former could have been a part of an exchange with one of the many unwanted players we had (have).

No that shows how people can sometimes react like fools and judge the players based on the printed name on the back of the jersey.If baronio had established a name for himself already, u would now be dubbing him for the best serie a midfielder so far , but unfortunately u never give a 2nd chance to anyone , and u have this idea stuck in ur head , bad impression that u dont want to change.

Mendieta came also here as a star.....and Sorin came here with a name.....they failed...or lets say They playd same good as baronio now :)

No one expected it, but baronio is a revelation this season, we have so little to be happy from right now, and the little we get is rejected just like dirt.

I have to admit i was really wrong on this guy. Yesterday evening i was planning to go to sleep after the game but robertos baronios changed my night totally.....i just had to get 2 cups of beer to get some sleep at all.
Scouts from around the world saw yesterday how unlucky this old brick once again is....its sad but this man leaves us for barca in January :(
And thanks to ballardini even baronio has turned out to be a better player than Foggia and Foggia is now worser than manfredini(eli, makinwa)

Where do problems with Zarate not scoring come from? From out average and old midfield(+balla)....i dont care about playing with heart....i need results...and if you are weak and out of ideas you need replacements.
When there will be an extension with that guy then i will actually start crying.
