Lazio Fiorentina : Strike Empty
PostSubject: Lazio Fiorentina : Strike   Lazio Fiorentina : Strike EmptyMon Feb 22, 2010 11:12 am

La Curva Nord decision for Lazio Fiorentina:
An empty stadium.
This is the decision and invitation from la Curva Nord and during the last 10 days a lot of arguments are running trough the radio talks show and main forums-
There are many supporters that , still, are confused and sad to leave la Lazio alone while others are firmly on their choice to leave the stadium empty.
This protest is against la Societa' only and is a huge sacrifice for all to leave the team alone.
My opinion as a fan is: Support la Lazio until the standing is declare serie A then a feroucious protest against la soc. because i can't leave la Lazio alone , i can't leave my position. On the other side i truly support this initiative because the situation is , since long time, unbeliavable.

For you , far away, is different cause you don't have any choice to be in the stadium or to leave it for one day but you are part of the fans and i am curios to hear your opinion about this protest.

My opinion - simple.

Donīt leave the team alone. They need us. For protests - we have enough time when Lazio is safe to stay in Serie A. After that - all against la Societa!

Basta.

Mr Reja didn't play Zarate from start at the first game, he showed that he is the coach, and that Zarate need's too play different in this team.
That was a clever draw from my point of view. Beacuse MR 10 must understand that he can't do whatever he want year after year in this club, and if someone say something then his brothers says: It's possibility that he will leave. Come on, like he is waiting for something small too happend, and when he is not satisfied, he threaten too leave??

Now we show Lotito, and the players the same thing Reja did whit Zarate, but this one we do agianst all club. Whitout us you don't geet the great support, the extra motivation for winning a game.
We are the fans, they shouldn't forget that. Beacuse no one here can say that they didn't forget us, they have done that in many games. Playing football like a bunch of amateurs whitout hearing the voice of the Curva; NON MOLLARE MAI.

It's not that many who travel thousands of kilometres to see their team play all over Italy. It's not many who pay hundreds of euros to pay for train, bus and plane-tickets to see their team play all over Europe. I think the question here is, who is Lazio? The answer is: the people, the fans. Not Lotito, not Reja, not Zarate. I find it easy, in a way a little hypocrit even, to say you will enter the stadium because the players need you. Hypocrit, because really, who is there when it matters, for the team? It is them! Who's there, with Lazio being one of the last in the serie A, playing an away match on a cold day in Udine, or in Palermo, hundreds of kilometres away? It is them! And it is exactly them who organise this protest, and if only out of respect - I will stay out of the stadium. Did the players pay any attention, nevermind show any respect to the 300 who travelled to Palermo on Sunday, conceiding a goal after one minute? Did they care about those people who paid so much, once again, who travelled so long, once again, to sing for their colours? I think this is a question of who should be paying respect to who, really, for playing in our shirt, and who should be showing support and mentality, for once.

Curva Nord, you have my support.

I can understand the protest from the CN, but Lazio needs support in difficult times.

So ... empty CN, but fill the Tevere & Distinti Sud to shout/sing/cheer/dance Lazio to victory !

During a time where we got, for the moment, what we wanted (a coaching change) there is not f-u-c-k-ing space for a protest. The players need our support since we need every single point against a strong opponent!!!

I think the talks about this protest started while we still had Ballardini as coach, but I can agree that it's a little bit unfortunate considering it's Reja's first game at home. Anyway, I still support Curva Nord on this one.

I will not attend Lazio-Fiorentina. I thank Curva Nord leaders for organizing this protest. I do respect people that will attend the match, although I don't understand them, and I will tell you why.

Lazio-Fiorentina is not a "live or die" match for us. Important, very important match, but not crucial. There will still be 12 matches to play after that. Bologna-Lazio, Livorno-Lazio, Lazio-Udinese, among them. And be sure that those people who will stay away from Olimpico next saturday will be ready to support Lazio at home and away for the rest of the season. Like in Lazio's dark years, where thousands of fans travelled to fight with the team to avoid relegation.

Something else is in a "live or die" situation. We are, prisoners of a madman. We do have a chance, a great chance, to cry out our anger, to send a very strong signal, do something very important to get free. And the time is now. Now. It's now, because regional administrative elections are approaching. Many politicians have already showed their interest in our situation. We need to show them that the "social problem" is real. Lazio-Fiorentina is our chance. 30,000 Laziali uniting against lotito will be a tremendous signal.

We, as Laziali, have got our chance to free la Lazio. We have it. But many people have not understood that.

And I'm really afraid that this protest will be carried on by the "usual ones". The 5,000 who gathered beside CN in december, the 10,000 who entered 15 minutes late against Chievo, the 1,000 who went to Formello. I'm afraid this protest will fail, and lotito will stay. We will win a few matches and push away the ghosts of relegation, and start looking at the next season. And then at the next one, and so on until we will be accustomed to being a mediocre team.

Finally, a couple of questions:

- to those who ask to postpone the protest, I'd like to ask them when they'd like to have an effective protest happen. After the elections took place? When there will be a few matches to the end of the season? During the summer?

- to those who disagree and those who will enter on saturday, I'd like to say to please refrain in the future from asking CN fans for more protests to kick lotito out. It's a matter of respect (I'm not referring to the Laziali from abroad who had planned from long time to visit Olimpico this weekend, I'm actually sorry for them about the atmosphere they will find).

exactly. how would you feel after two games you are being boycotted by the fans? two games that you play well and one of the you make the 3rd ( if I am not mistaken) win for the season ?

Barring the politcal side of this - as Conn mentioned above (because I do not live in Rome) -

I would not boycott the team / the mister at this point. They're fighting for survival. I honestly believe the team goes out each match and wants to win / gives it there best shot. We have a JOKE of a President. The team knows this. The team knows that the fans are not happy with Lotito. Emptying the stands while the players are out there is not going to solve the problem at this moment.

Regardless, i see their point.

Should we get relegated to Serie B - boycott and protest. Why? Because that is unacceptable. Lazio is a top flight club and emptying the stands might hurt, but it will hurt Lotito's wallet even more!

NOW - due to what Conn said above - based on the elections...BOYCOTT! If it's a chance to save La Lazio, do it!

Let me add one further consideration.

Clearly the protest is not meant to attack Mr Reja or the players. Both Reja and the players know they have the full appreciation of the fans. Last thursday about 1,000 fans gathered in Formello to follow the Lazio training (again open to the public, after ages) and there was a lot of cheering and chants for Reja.

The message of the protest is precise "free la Lazio, now it's a social problem", and it's directed to a specific class of people (politicians). That's all. Reja knows that, players know that. Politicians know that. How credible we are in this claim depends on how many will join the protest, and we will see on saturday.
