| Matuzalem Ready For Lazio AdventureFrancelino Matuzalem is looking forward to the new season with Lazio and he cannot wait to get started... The Brazilian knows Serie A well having spent time at Parma, Napoli, Piacenza and Brescia in the past. He joined Lazio on loan from Real Zaragoza last month for a season with the right to join permanently. Matuzalem is now looking ahead and is hoping to do well under new coach Delio Rossi. “Last year was difficult for me because I was out with various injuries,” Matuzalem told Sky Sport Italia. “It wasn’t easy getting back into things but that’s in the past now. I want to forget about that and look to a good future here at Lazio.” Amazing On the boss, he added: “I think Delio Rossi is a great coach, he demands plenty from his players both from a tactical and physical point of view. “We are all working hard and we hope the effort pays off on the pitch over the coming season.” The move has clearly fulfilled the player's spiritual wishes, too. He enthused: “Coming back to Italy after so many years is amazing. Rome is a great city and I am so happy to be playing at Lazio.” Matuzalem struck for Lazio in the 2-0 win over Paok Salonika on Tuesday and he will be hoping his scoring run continues into the season proper. The Biancocelesti have strengthened the squad significantly this summer as they attempt to climb back up the Serie A table following last term’s unimpressive campaign. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=818499 | |

| Anyone know about when he will be fit for play again? Had rather big expectations on him before the season but since he is injured most of the time he havn't got any good chance to proove himself. | |

| He is overrated and apparently injury prone.Nothing to count on. For Ledesma replacement we must look elsewhere... | |

| Can't wait to see him in action again.. he has played 2 times in Serie A this season, both were against Milan, and both lost with 3 goals difference.. but it doesn't mean that he played badly... What could he do? Milan was still our bogey team... | |

He played against Cagliari in the first round as well and also a short entry against Sampdoria last week. | |

| Lazio have option on Matuzalem: http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2009/03/06/1141938/lazio-have-option-to-buy-matuzalem-agentWe all knew that, right? 8 million or something. But the key of this statement is that the loan + option was a strategic plan by Lotito. Exactly what I thought. Lotito knew Matu was a great player but brought him on loan to see if he fits in with the team, stays fit and plays well. Crucially, that option means nothing now. Francy pants wants to stay with us now and the team he is contracted to (Real Zaragoza) are struggling to get promoted back to the first division. Now, I don't believe Matu has any intention of going back there, neither do I believe Real want to pay his wage, especially if they fail to get promoted. I reckon Lotito will end up buying out Matuzalem's contract rather than paying the full 8 million. Watch this space... | |

| I want to see more of Matu. I mean he is great now but I want to see few more matches of his magic. I don't think that Lotito will pay them 8 milion euros. He will bargain for less. | |

| "Matu" will be a main man at this moment.. If he keeps up the fantastic display from the Juve match then I think we shall sign him on permenent contract.. |
