Casiraghi recently said that Rocchi is an expert and important player, he comes to the Beijing with enthusiasm and spirit like a child and the former also said that Rocchi is an optimal player that will mark many goals for Italy on the Olympics.

to be honest, i have more faith in Kolarov coming home with a medal than Rocchi, but Rocchi may just fire Italia to glory. we'll see.

I am confident that Rocchi and the boys will bring us a medal home, just remains to be seen what kind of medal.
Serbia and Kolarov will do well too, very impressive in the U21's last year.


as for Tommaso, very important player, definite starter. He scores so many goals, and also drops back to help the team. Will he be back in time for the Cagliari match, or have to wait until the 2nd/3rd match??

I think Italy are strong but I have my doubts, very few of those guys have proved anything whereas Kolarov is very much part of a unit and I just fancy him to come away with a medal, no particular reason why.

This was my concerns from the moment I have heard about this stupid Olympic games.
Something with his fibula, it says that is severe.

Just read the news.

Hopefully nothing serious that could keep him out for 2-3 weeks maximum.

We will be needing him badly this season.

I dunno, I was hoping he would stop doing that this season. It looks craps. He should do backflips instead.

According to Lotito the recovery time will be very long.
He claims that the National Team have underestimated the situation. They thought , it was muscular problem and let him play against Korea.
But it was bone problem, showed the medical examination after the game.

This was probably the worst news we could get! Rocchi is one of our keyplayers i'm insecure if we really got players on the bench who can replace him. If it really is as bad as it seams Zarate will really have to adept and preform at his max in the season begining.

This is bad news for both Italy at the Olympics and Lazio and its a shame for Tommaso above all as he was playing for his national team at a very high level and even scored a goal in the last game. From reading the goal.com article it does not sound too promising unfortunately and we really need Rocchi this season right from the beginning like we need him every time. But hopefully the injury is overestimated and is not as bad as Lotito says it is. This sucks big time!
