Very interesting news:

Lyon claim that Ederson's agent is in negotiations with us. Lyon are willing to let him go out on loan. With option to buy.

Watch this space....

Not defending Lotito, but if end this mercato with Ederson, Eguren and Floccari on loans...that's near perfection for me and would be remarkable given the dissidenti situation. A centre-back would be nice but we needed two midfielders first and we are on the verge of getting them.

Let's just keep our fingers and toes crossed.

Agreed! The only thing that can top that off is if we could offload Ledesma in a good deal. Plus people seem to forget we actually do have one of the best defence's in Serie-A!

Indeed! We might not have the best defense, but with Stendardo I think that the defense improved very much (if we forget about the Bergamo and Fiorentina(Coppa) games at this point...)! To be honest, the problem is not the defense, but the midfield...no defense in the world would look good, if the midfield keeps loosing every second ball in situations when the team is pushing forward! So I hope that the Eguren deal is finally through and that this guy will provide some stability and that he can keep the ball (because the only midfielder we have and who is capable of doing so is Matuzalem who hardly plays two games in a row)! And if the Ederson thing really happens which I (and I think everybody else) doubt very much, this would really be decent...he would add quality for sure!!

cassano will not be called up for the second time in a row and is training separately from the team and he is not injured. just del neri took him out of the squad...cassano..why not ?

I believed ditching Cribari would be a step in the right direction but obviously we have some more ditching to do and so far we aren't bringing any new CB so fuck me if I care about Eguren and Plessis when there's a gaping hole in our defense bigger than anything I've ever seen in porn movies.

Players do have major role but also i don't think Ballardini has good defensive arrangemetns.

So still no central defender. The tactical, motivational, strategical and overall football genius Ballardini is maybe he can transform Eguren or Plessis into a CB. Or we buy Mutu and instead of paying him we hook him up with some dope to help us out in defense with some advice after he ripped us a new one.

We face a dilemma. If we get Eguren finally, we can't buy Ederson.
Because both players are included in Non-EU spots. Now we can get only one Non-EU player in this season.
So we have to choose one of them. IMO, it seems Lotito gives up Eguren instead of Ederson.
I do agree that we need an attacking midfielder than a defensive midfielder.
But this manner is not good although Lazio have claimed there are some problems of Eguren's physical condition.

It seems that Eguren has some problems with his blood pressure I think. The deal might not go through...

Eguren has a Swedish passport so it can't be that.

I'm hearing it has something to do with a blood pressure condition. He had to do a second medical which in itself is not normal.

I thought the deal was official by now? Are there new news today that state otherwise? The second medical was yesterday and everything was cleared, was it not?
