Lazio seems to be after Zaragoza player Aimar, Rossi is a fan of him and he is set to cost 10m euros.

i have to say it would be amazing to sign a player of aimar's quality, he's a personal favorite of mine and now the time seems right for both clubs and the player.

Lazio Linked With Aimar Move

Lazio are interested in signing Real Zaragoza midfielder Pablo Aimar according to reports in the Italian press.

Argentine midfielder Aimar, 28, is considered to be among those players likely to depart relegated Zaragoza and his availability has attracted the attention of Italian side Lazio, who are mulling over a bid for the former River Plate and Valencia star.

Zaragoza will request a fee in the region of €8-10million for his services, although Lazio are thought to be hopeful of agreeing an initial season long loan deal with the option to make the deal permanent should Aimar become an integral part of their side.

Aimar holds a Spanish passport and therefore would not take up one of the coveted non-EU spots in Lazio's squad, and the feeling is that he would be open to a move to Italy should Lazio firm up their interest.

The Biancocelesti are yet to make contact with Zaragoza or the player's agent, but could be set to do so in the coming days should they decide that Aimar is the right man to inject some more creativity into their midfield.

Lazio Offer Stendardo For Marchionni

According to Il Messagero, Lazio are sent to present Juventus with an exchange offer of Guglielmo Stendardo for Marco Marchionni.

Stendardo is due to return to Lazio having completed his six month loan spell at Juventus, however he is almost certain to be immediately sold on as he has fallen out with Coach Delio Rossi.

The Neapolitan defender only made five Serie A appearances during his short stay at Turin. The Bianconeri are keen to keep him though, only they have been put off by Lazio President Claudio Lotito’s astronomical €12m asking price.

Il Messagero says that Lotito is now ready to propose a new solution, offering Stendardo in straight exchange for Juve winger Marco Marchionni.

Marchionni is a highly talented and skilful wideman, however he has barely featured this season due to injury, a curse that has befallen him for most of his career.

Due to his injury proneness, Juve may be willing to accept Lazio’s offer. The Biancocelesti, who are rebuilding after a disastrous season, are also said to be eyeing up Parma-duo Luca Cigarini and Daniele Dessena.

Behrami To Buy Out Lazio Contract

Valon Behrami's agent has revealed that his client will buy out his contract with Lazio in order to engineer a transfer this summer...

Behrami, 23, has been linked with Premier League outfits Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, and is now certain to leave Lazio, having spent three years with the club.

It is thought he will not decide on his destination until after Euro 2008, as the Swiss international will represent his country, who are co-hosting this summer's showpiece with Austria. He will be looking to impress in order to start a bidding war between potential suitors and engineer the best move for himself.

Sevilla have also been linked with the full-back - the player's father declaring a move was already complete - but his agent has revealed otherwise, speaking to SetantaSports.com.

"The daddy does not decide for his son, he is not aware of it," he said.

“Behrami will play Euro 2008 as a free player because he will buy-out his contract.

“Do you know what the Webster clause is? Well, he will use it.

“And after that, I can tell you that he has 100 percent chance of leaving Lazio.

“Lazio wanted €12 million (£9 million) for him and we had contacts, but now he will be able to decide where he goes and he wants to play the Champions League.

“We will not contact clubs, believe me, they are going to call us.”

A swap between Stendardo-Almiron has been in the air for a long time. IMO it would be great since we have Rossi staying for another season, there will not be good to have Stendardo in the squad. This will also give Ledesma a competition for his spot (that is if he stays), otherwise he might be bought as a replacement.

He has twice rejected a pay-rise from Lotito (correct me if I'm wrong), so it seems that he is really wanting away from Lazio. To buy his contract on the otherhand is really disrespectful to the club and us - the supporters. A bad relationship with the president shouldn't cause this much trouble...

Not liking what i'm hearing from Behrami. If he is so desparate to go then at least let us make decent money from his transfer. Seems like he has a massive ego from those reports and we don't need those types of players at our club.

If we could get Dessena and Cigarini that would be awesome! Don't want Marchionni if it means we lose Foggia as Marchionni is to injury prone but we can incorporate the two of them then great! Maybe put Foggia on the left or something. Also I think we should go for Gasbarroni. He is a quality player!

I`m afraid that Aimar is now what Mendieta was when he came to us..so i don`t know if we need that again.

As about Behrami..well he did aleardy very much for this club..and i can`t blame him to ask for more money or a better team..since he was one of the few players this year (maybe with Rocchi and Radu) who really died for this shirt. So total respect for that.

I agree, but to use this clause to leave I think is a slap in the face for us, espescially considering how much he cost us.

Aimar has allways been my favorite AM.it would be good to have him here.

To Behrami.if lazio dont mean anything to him and that goal he scored in derby then he can go.someone can replace him.

Avoiding Relegation was always Rossi ambitions! and was never in our agenda, it really hurts how much we lost our pride.

As we are all aware Rossi is confirmed (sad but true), which means that Mudy, Foggia, Stendardo and Kolarov are in their way out for the sake of Rossi eyes!

So Zauri, Mauri, Manfradini, Muta and Balotta will be on the moon after these news!
