| What can I say? We need a response from the last two defeats.
Especially against a winless Catania, but as always it wont be easy.
We need Maurito to play well, and he really needs to register a goal soon.

| Beautiful stats regarding this game http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/lazio/?action=read&idnotizia=7359We haven't won there for 33 years, losing 5 times and drawing 4, last 12 times we played them they always scored and scored a total of 18 goals in the last 12 matches. FFSI'm not the one to believe in stats, but isn't it just remarkable how we got off to a good start in the league, while Catania has three straight losses, and now we face them at home with this kind of history between us. This is like some sh1t soap opera where you can predict the next 5 episodes. ------------------------- Oh and the last time we had a draw was 18 bloody games ago, winning 8 times and losing 9 in the process. | |

| Brocchi and Rocchi out.
Today Cruz and Dabo missed training (yesterday too).
Matuzalem and Baronio trained aside to recover...
It's just the beginning of the season and we are already "con le toppe al culo"...

| All those injuries, and its just the beginning of the season. It doesn't sound good. Hope to see Zarate, Foggia, Kolarov, Diakite, Mauri and Muslera all start against Catania, as well as Siviglia. Forever and always..... FORZA LAZIO! | |

| All I want is to see us go top 10 by January and winning games like these help. Ballardini is a notorious slow starter and I expect us to go on a run if we strengthen in January. However, these are the kind of games we must win. Our coach has said prior to the Red Bull game that this was the hard one and he's right; normally I wouldn't be dissatisfied with a draw but given the circumstances, a win would be terrific. | |

| The season has barely started, and many of our starters are doing recovery training, or are out due to injury...
Doesnt seem very good...we have had a tough start, but the fact that Baronio is our hope in midfield, and Inzaghi is closer than ever to get a start, shows our lack of development since last year...
Tough game, a draw will be a decent result...

| Tough game....I hope we see Perpetuini at some stage. People say this is a Lazio without identity, well we need to build one, and what better way to do that than give a chance to a primavera boy who loves the club more than the rest of the squad put together. He obviously has talent as Ballardini has included him in every match squad this season and he played well against Zaragoza. We need to prepare for life after Dabo and maybe even Brocchi, so Riccardo becomes an important young player.
Aside from that, even getting a point in Catania requires a committed effort from all players. Their coach Atzori will definitely be sacked if they lose today so they'll be fighting with a knife between their teeth. DAJE LAZIO.

| Since Brocchi is out and Baronio and Matuzalem are slightly injured I hope that Perpetuini would be given his chance along with Mauri and Dabo or hopefully Ledesma.
Muslera and Diakite will be essential to help us keep a clean sheet and a good game from Mauri, Foggia and Zarate is key to get us the 3 points we need to instill confidence back, a loss after 2 disappointing results would put us in mid table just like last season. I feel this game is very very important on what we can hope for this season.

| Tricky match. Catania are without a point after 3 games played but have played decent football and have been unlucky. Atzori's job is on the line and I'm sure his players will give it their all to get something out of this match. They are solid at home and Lazio have not won in Sicily for 33 years (I think?) so that doesn't help much. But I have confidence in Mr Ballardini getting the best out of the players and even though the last two games have been disappointing, I hope this match turns Lazio's fortunes around. With some important players out, and some returning after a rest (namely Muslera and Kolarov) it could mean a lot of reshuffling or youngsters coming in (hope to see Perpetuini).
Should be a good one..... FORZA LAZIO!

| Awful first half from Lazio.
Our defense is shaky as ever, especially from the left side. Which is Siviglia's center side. Diakete had a couple of decent interceptions, but since Kolarov is attacking, their counter attacks are costing us a lot. Siviglia is weak....
Our midfield is non existant, and it is not pushing forward, Meghni who is supposed to be advancing is always at the middle of the field and he hardly made a decent pass. Our wings are very weak, and it seems like we are playing a diamond midfield which is not working out too well for us.
Baronio is shaky and losing too many balls and so is Matuzalem. Foggia is trying but its a solo effort and Zarate is very much isolated... Our midfield is not passing the ball to the attack....
The only chances we had were solo efforts, one from Foggia, another from Kolarov and a shot from Baronio....
Its as if we are playing with no plan....
Catania are causing us lots of trouble, they are playing man to man and whenever a player from us has the ball, they get close directly and make us lose the ball, too much pressure on our players, and are being physical and we look weak from that point...
