| I didnt noticed Stendardo role yesterday to be honest...
But I did noticed how Genoa in last 20 minutes of the match were pressing our defence, with 10 players! Balla should’ve substitute one of two attackers to bring the force in midfield, and stop the actions there.

I agree that Stendardo played a very good game, but I wanted to say that I didn't notice his operative display as DMC/DC..
Del Nero had a good game too! In my view, Stendardo plays more or less as a libero. In this role he covers the central defensive pair and is resonsible for stopping the opponents midfielders when they come through the middle. We play in effect with 5 defenders when we loose the ball. Kolarov/Del Nero and Lichtensteiner are more wingbacks then midfielders in this role. In attack they rush down the flanks and form up beside or two central defensive midfielders. Meghni has the job of playmakers in front of the central midfield pair. | |
