| Yeah, having Genoa, Fiorentina, Napoli and Sampdoria also back in Serie A after spells in the dreaded Cadetti has certainly improved Serie A. They all have a lot of quality on the pitch and from a commercial aspect bring in good gates when playing at home. Having Parma back is great. Not a giant historically, but they had a golden era in the 90s winning the Uefa cup twice and the cup winners cup and belong in Serie A. Great to see Bari back also, memories of David Platt, in fact there last two home games have had gates of over 40,000. If they can maintain that in Serie A they will be a more than positive addition and with time and patience could establish themselves well in the league. On another note it is good to have another Southern side up in the division, especially with Reggina likely gone know.
Sassuolo would be fairytale stuff and they have just come up from Serie C I think, but I think it will be one of Livorno or Empoli although Brescia have been away for a while so may be nice to see them again.

| Hmm not that special, Marcolini's goal was equally nice. And Balotelli's attitude is revolting, he acts as if he conquered the world, level of annoyance is right up there with Pippo. | |

For the last Serie A spot there will be massive action with at least 4 games really battling for that precious spot... Anyone except Livorno! I'd like to see them in a weird kind of way, I like confrontation, animosity and passion in matches; the ideal league would be consisting of:
1) Lazio 2) Milan 3)Inter 4) Juve 5) Fiorentina 6) Torino 7) Genoa 8) Sampdoria 9) Chievo 10) Palermo 11) Catania 12) Cagliari 13) Parma 14) Napoli 15) Livorno 16) Udinese 17) Siena 18) Bologna 19) Atalanta 20) merda
There would be a great game to watch every single weekend with all the derbies and rivalries and these are the teams with the most success overall. That'a a good group, I would love to see Pisa back in Serie A though, they have alot of rivalries to get back to, espescially Inter.

cant argue with that, his attitude is revolting. I cant understand why, he plays for one of the best clubs in the world and yet doesnt even celebrate when he scores. Im not sure I want to know what hes like when the chips are down. Very good game in Verona today though, a deserved point for Chievo. Shame about merda, I though Cagliari had them...

| Bari as it is will go straight back down to Serie B next season. I'm happy they went up and its good to see teams from the centro-sud doing well but they've set themselves up for a very, very ugly season ahead.
The key players that got them promoted are not actually theirs and will be elsewhere next season: Masiello and Ranocchia (Genoa), Barreto (Udinese), Lanzafame and Bianco (Juve), and arguably the best of them all is Guberti who only signed a 6 month contract when he left Ascoli and he's almost certain to be at Riomma next year. Then even Conte will likely go to Juve.
Considering how important these players are, the fact that Bari will get nothing when they lsoe them and they have no money of their own to spend, they are f***ed when they actually face Serie A. Their owner Matarrese is probably more unpopular than Lotito.
I dont wanna take anything away from a fantastic season, a great group of players and there are others like Gillet and Kutuzov that will stay, but I'll be surprised if they actually survive, let alone become big.
As for Parma, they actually need a point to go up........only a matter of time of course

| That's interesting, I didn't really know who Bari had in their squad, apart from Gillet, Guberti, Ranocchia and Kutuzov, and as you point out Testa - they will surely be screwed over for next season. All those players are talented and well known and will move onto bigger things (with no disrespect to Bari). But who knows, maybe 1 or 2 will stay? I hope so for the clubs sake. Their president has a tough task of keeping as much of the teams core as possible together.
To top that off Conte looks certain to leave too. Speaking of Conte, he was a Lecce legend. When he became coach of their rivals (Bari) there was huge uproar, understandably, at the Via del Mare. He is one of the few Juventus players I actually liked. Great player. I don't know how Lecce fans see him know, and when he took over at Bari though.

| I read a story, a few months ago, that said on a visit back to Lecce Conte was actually attacked. Personally, I hope they stay up but it will be difficult for the reasons you guys mention. But, they will be able to attract a few more players now they are in the A, perhaps through loans also. | |

| I suppose the Conti situation would be a bit like if Nesta went on to be a coach and took charge of Roma.
Both he and Conte were legends at Lazio and Lecce respectively then moved on, Milan and Juve.
As Testa said, it will be really difficult for Bari when they come up, although everyone said the same about Palermo with all their Juve loan players but it's no secret Zampa had money to invest in a new squad. Guess we will have to see how they make up for the loss of players over the summer.

In the years leading up to this one, they've been fighting the drop to C, one year they only survived cause Ancona went bust. Not that I hate Bari, its good to see teams from different places do something, and just on city-club size, Bari have potential.

| Well I guess if any of the big 3 were to win Lo Scudetto, Inter are the lesser of 3 evils. So 'congrats' to them but I don't really care about them. I like their fans due to our 'Gemelli' but that's about as far as it goes.
Friggin' Roma are so lucky with these results, they are definately struggling with an ageing team and with Totti still gripping onto his place in the starting XI they will get progressively worse.

yes, the 97,98 season if memory serves two in the league and two in the coppa which we won that year. That was good season also, except for the UEFA cup final defeat that year. Cried like a baby that nite
