| Big respect to Mr Paolo Maldini. A football legend. An icon for the sport. Well done Paolo! Unfortunately those Merda spoiled his party and got themselves into Europe for next season.... The Serie A relegation will go down to the wire. One of Torino and Bologna will stay up, while one will drop. I don't want either team to go to Serie B. Both have good histories and deserve to be in Italy's top flight. | |

| I didn't know about the last line...
GENOA, Italy (AP) -Serie A club Genoa is on the brink of signing Hernan Crespo and Riccardo Quaresma, the club's president said on Tuesday.
"We're meeting on Wednesday to close the Crespo deal,'' Enrico Preziosi said, adding: "Quaresma interests us.''
Preziosi said he has an appointment with Crespo's agent to finalize what has been reported to be a two-year contract for the Argentine forward, a former Chelsea striker.
Crespo's contract with Inter Milan, which has clinched this year's league title, ends this summer.
Portuguese winger Quaresma, who Inter Milan loaned to Chelsea in January, would be co-owned for ?10 million,'' Preziosi said. "We're waiting to get an agreement with the player.''
Preziosi said that when he told Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini about the two proposed deals "he hugged me.''
Last week the club announced that Diego Milito and Thiago Motta will be moving to Inter at the end of the season.

| I'd be a little upset if my club just sold it's two best players and the plan to replace them was Hernan Crespo and Riccardo Quaresma. | |

| Milan have announced that Yoann Gourcuff has made his laon move to Bordeaux permenant. What a stupid move from them. They are probably going to regret this a couple of years from now. | |

They will probably get Acquafresca as well. They realistically could not do much. The players could play with Internazionale in the Champions League and have a great chance to win Scudetto next season

I think there be regretting it right now. There was nothing they could do as there was a clause in the loan deal that they could purchase Gourcuff for 15 million at the end of the season if they wanted to. They took that option. Its all Milans fault, ultimately they did not have to include that option.

| A report on Goal says Napoli have signed Fabio Quagliarella (16 million Euros) from Udinese, and Luca Cigarini (4.5 million Euros) from Atalanta respectively, for next season. Well done to Napoli, very impressive signings. Domizzi and Garics co-ownership deals are made permanent as part of the deals.
I remember last season wanting Lotito to sign Cigarini from Parma after they were relegated - but it didn't happen unfortunately. He is a top player and has further improved this season. Surely a future star.

| Two out already! Carlo Ancelotti has announced he is leaving Milan this summer "by mutual consent,” but refused to confirm a deal with Chelsea. Leonardo is going to be the new Milan coach - could be a disastrous risk or trun out to be an inspired move like Guardiola was for Barca. Walter Mazzarri has confirmed he is leaving Sampdoria after two seasons on the bench, but won't comment on his future. It has been strongly rumoured that Mazzarri is the prime candidate for the Lazio bench next term. | |

| Torino are the 3rd and final team relegated from Serie A this season.... I feel sad for the Granata as they deserve to stay in Italy's top flight. Bologna too, but they survived. | |

| Leonardo to Coach Milan. I think it's a risk, but one worth taking.
He has a great knowledge for the game and of the Club, and will get the best out of the players.
Needs to bring in some new blood at the back.
Ronaldinho will get a second chance under him im sure.

| I think Ancellotti leaving Milan is bad news for Serie A, espescially if Pirlo goes too. I want Italy to keep the best players and coaches, not to export them elsewhere. | |

I agree about wanting Italy to keep their best players and coaches, but maybe it was time for him to go and to give them a fresh start again. As for Pirlo from a league perspective I hope he stays as he brings great quality and of course is great to watch as a player. I think Diego will be a very good addition to the league. Quagliarella to Napoli? Honestly I though he would move this summer but not to Napoli. Thats a great signing for them

| I believe Ancellotti will be a success at Chelsea. Tactically you can't get better than that. I always thought that he was older.
On the other hand I would reconsider bringing Pirlo to England. He is world class but so was Shevchenko before he went to play there. Pirlo is 30 and I believe he is just too used to the pace of serie A. He needs his time on the ball and in the premiership you don't get that.

Haha, he would be the biggest failure in England of all time. Why? Pirlo is completely ineffective when closed down and what do all teams in England do? They press the opposition. I hope Pirlo is smart enough to stay in Serie A. He wouldn't even be useful enough to get on the Hull bench in England. And hold me to that if he does depart.

| Pirlo should definately stay in Serie A, for the exact reasons Caxi mentions. He's a legend in the Milan colours and a gamble of this nature likely would damage his image as a great player. Sometimes is best to stick to what you know, and if he doubts that then maybe he should just look along the dressing room to Shevchenko, a shadow of his former self. | |

Exactly, the Premiership could effectively end his career. As it is now he has at least 5-6 more years in Serie A.
