Wow...I never thought of him as that good, or is there just a lack of competition that makes him so good? I understand his qualities and so, but there is nothing in his game that he is world class at (maybe he is world clas at shooting hard, but that is outconquered by his extremely low ratio of finding the goal). But maybe playing for Lazio has not been the best place to show that, maybe you have seen more of him than I have? Or maybe I am just not that much of a Kola fan to appreciate his work for us.
He has all the potential to develop into a quality left back - winger, but suggesting that Kola is the best one out on the market says more about the competition than about him. With your reasoning we could sign Flocc and another decent player, or maybe even rebuild our midfield properly with the money received for Kola when sold, and Ledesma if he decides to leave. Lets start a bidding war between teams and offload that son of someone asap.

I didn't make him the hottest fullback-winger, Inter's interest in him ( and recently Real's) made him. I also think he's not that much of a player. As you said the competition on that position is very low. Maybe just Vargas is as much as wanted as Kolarov. We should use this and inflate his price.

I highly doubt Lotito would cash 9 mil or whatever just like that. He did last summer, but not this early in mercato and I think the option we have ends fairly soon, no?

I think the best thing he can do is realise that we will lose Kolarov, sell him for a good amount. Use the money to buy Sergio and renew Radu's contract, then asses the areas we need to build on whether it's buying or selling. If we really intend to keep Floccari we cannot let the minimum buyout clause to expire becasue then the ball will be in Preziosi's court.

More and more reports and rumours actually believe that Lotito will purchase Floccari before th 25th of June (when our option on him expires). Its about cashing 8.5 over three yearly installments.
