Zarate from start this time! He is the only one with any speed, Rocchi is to slow in my opinion. And now Zarate have felt to sit on the bench and i think he is really hungry to show that it was a mistake.

maybe Balla was using that term in the way it's defined on urban dictionary. Mauri definitely is a tool in that sense.

Yes i was cititing our beloved mr. bella. And if we still use tools like mauri and siviglia then you cant expect much. Against viola it was a decent result considering we started with 9 men.

Well, at least Mauri was both one and two levels above Hitzlsperger in that position. Maybe time to try Matuzalem as a front and Hitzlsperger as a compliment to Ledesma?

Rather change formation than play Mauri again.

when Foggia will be back? With him, i'd think about 4-3-3 with Zarate and Foggia on the wings...

---------------Muslera--------------------

-L'steiner---Radu--Stendardo--Kolarov

----Brocchi----Ledesma----Matuzalem-

--Foggia-------------------------Zarate-

---------------Floccari------------------

For me, it would be the best way to remove Mauri out of the starting lineup.

Reports indicate that Reya is ready to go back to 4-3-1-2
http://www.lazialita.com/VisualizzaSezione.asp?IdArticolo=7517

so long as that -1- isn't Mauri it's an improvement. With the return of Radu we have an additional option of switching Kolarov to the middle, maybe he can bang in some goals when no-one else can. I can't find any info on Diakite, is he injured? It would be monumental if he would play.

Also Meghni is a bitch.Apparently he's injured again and will return by mid-March. Dick.

My preferred formation

----Zarate --- Floccari

----------Matu----------
Kolarov- Ledesma- Brocchi
------------------------------
Radu - Biava- Stendardo- Lichtsteiner

-----------Muslera--------------

Sampdoria have been hot and cold this season so its hard to predict which side will turn up on Sunday. Their home record is pretty impressive this season with 7 wins, 5 draws and 0 losses to date. We are capable of causing an upset but it won't easy - especially with Pazzini in decent form.

Good to read that Reja is thinking of going back to the 4-3-1-2 formation and in a tight, away match like this one, I'd agree its a good decision with more cover at the back. Hopefully Radu is back (and Diakite?) and Zarate starts.

FORZA LAZIO!

Guess there will be a great participation of Lazio fans in Genoa this weekend. That is the part I am looking forward to the most...and maybe snatching a point in front of the loyals!

Although at the moment that is probably a bad thing. After all the problems he's had this season he would likely be in no real form to play well if he was included. As always we have to stop Pazzini. It must finally be the game for Zarate to shine, he likes scoring against Samp...

Lazio

Bizzarri, Dabo, Dias, Meghni, Foggia and Manfredini are out while Biava, Firmani, Baronio and Rocchi are struggling with injuries.

Probable Lineup (4-3-1-2): Muslera, Lichtsteiner, Stendardo, Radu, Kolarov; Brocchi, Ledesma, Matuzalem; Mauri; Rocchi, Floccari

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Giampaolo Pazzini (Sampdoria)

The Italian striker missed last weekend's defeat to Parma because of suspension but makes his return this Sunday. The 25-year-old has been impressive this campaign with 12 goals and two assists in 25 league appearances and his return will certainly boost Samp in their quest to return to winning ways.

Stefano Mauri (Lazio)

The 18-year-old youngster has looked good since joining Lazio in January 1990 and has scored three goals and provided 30 assists in seven league games for the Aquile. Mauri couldn't get on the scoresheet last weekend against Fiorentina but he did create a great chance for Floccari on the stroke of halftime. He will be a key player for Lazio against Sampdoria.

PREDICTION

It isn't going to be easy for Sampdoria as Lazio have shown one or two signs of improvements in recent weeks. However, Lazio have one great solid legendary leader and will edge Samp in the end.

Sampdoria 0-2 Lazio
